Can a person loose salvation or Once saved always saved?

I know many Christians who believe that its ok to sin all they wants as long as they come to church every Sunday. Are these Christians Saved?? I ask because I hear some that say " Once you are saved, you are always save " and others who state " We must repent of our sins "

Where does the Bible say that we must "repent of our sins"? This is a mistaken theology. Nowhere does the Bible teach that one must repent of their sins--an impossible task, BTW.
Once saved we are always saved, that is true, but it does not give anyone a licence to sin. Once saved, one will have or ought to have, the desire to live a more holy life, not a carnal life. For the carnal man cannot please God.

If one receives forgiveness for sin by being covered by the blood of Christ, and is then sanctified by the spirit, or made right with God, I don't see how that could be undone. It is a "once for all" experience that isn't conditioned on time, and I think the scripture would support that. It isn't the idea of living in a state of sinless perfection, but under forgiveness.

Grace is a concept that is difficult to understand. There is no pit so deep that grace does not abound immediately. I think there are some people who get saved, but who never really get much in the way of discipleship, and are prone to misunderstand the changes in lifestyle that belonging to Christ can bring, but they are still saved. On the other hand, I would think it would be impossible for someone who is indwelled with the Holy Spirit to step out of being sanctified. I think the spirit would intercede long before that happens, with convicting power. That's not a free will violation, since the choice is still up to the believer, but I think there is enough evidence to say that this is the case. If God isn't powerful enough to protect his own, then he isn't God.

The actions of the people you know are not proof that a person can lose their salvation. Their attitude MIGHT mean they are not really saved in the first place.........OR it could mean that God must deal with them more in that area.

But their actions don't mean they lost their salvation.

I was talking to a young man about this earlier today.........he said he thought he had lost his salvation once because he backslid. However, he described his time of being backslidden, and said that the Holy SPirit was convicting him the entire time.......he was just running from that conviction for awhile. He has since repented and is back in fellowship with God. If he had not been saved in the first place, do you think God would have been convicting him of his sin? No. He wasn't bothered by conviction when doing those same things BEFORE he'd gotten saved. So there was a difference! He was a NEW creature. He could not do those old sins without the chastening of the Lord now........

Plus, the Bible says that if it were possible to lose your salvation you cannot then regain it, because that would be recrucifying Christ. So it's either Once Saved Always Saved, OR it's Saved, Lost, Lost Forever.

First, there is no objective test for salvation.

Second, if it was possible to lose one's salvation the person who lost it would not care.

1John 1:9 has nothing to do with salvation as the OP did. So why bring these red herrings into this discussion. 1John 1:9 has to do with our daily walk with God, wherein the believer confessis his sins on a daily basis. Show me a verse in the Bible where an unsaved person is admonished to confess or repent of all his sins. Acts 2"38 doesn't teach that either.

Please explan yourself. Where in the verse does it say an unsaved man must repent of all his sins. Please be specific.

True Salvation

The true plan of salvation is repentance towards God and faith in Christ Jesus (Acts 20:21). We prove our repentance by our deeds (Acts 26:20). The Lord Jesus taught the road to life is "hard" and only a "few" will find it (Mt. 7:13,14, NKJV). Many get saved, but afterwards fall away (Lk. 8:13; Jn. 6:66; 1 Tim. 1:19; etc.). In other words, after initial salvation we must endure to the "end" to enter the kingdom of God and escape the lake of fire (Mt. 10:22; Heb. 3:14; Rev. 2:10,11). Eternal life comes to the repentant the moment such believe on Jesus for salvation (Jn. 3:16; 6:47; 1 Jn. 5:12,13), but there is another important aspect of eternal life that many are totally unaware of in our day because of the false teaching of once saved always saved (OSAS). According to true grace teaching, eternal life is also a HOPE (Titus 3:7), yet to be REAPED (Gal. 6:8,9) in the AGE TO COME (Mk. 10:30) for only the ones who PERSIST IN DOING GOOD (Rom. 2:7) and DO NOT GROW WEARY AND GIVE UP (Gal. 6:9).

If a saved person sows to please his sinful nature he'll die spiritually (Rom. 8:13; Gal. 6:8,9). The prodigal is a clear example of this (Lk. 15:24,32). The end result of sin is spiritual death, so DO NOT BE DECEIVED (James 1:14-16). Do these verses have anything to do with salvation? I didn't think we needed to earn salvation, it's a free gift. Flesh is flesh, and Spirit is Spirit, isn't that the key to understanding these verses? Aren't these verses speaking of punishment and reward?

It seems as it you don't know what grace is. Do you have problem in defining it?

If one is saved by grace, he cannot fall from grace. Otherwise grace would not be grace. See Romans 11:6.

Salvation is the Lord's. It is not man's to win or lose.

Our responsibility on earth is to work as if it all depended on man, knowing that it all depends on the Lord. We tend to forget the divine side.

You answer your own question:

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Do you really think he would be a Christian if he did those things. Would his "profession" of Christ had been a genuine profession. The Lord knows them that are his.

This thread really took off The answer to the opening question is no a person can not lose their eternal salvation. A person doesn't "do" anything to get it, so how can they "do" anything to lose it?

Eternal salvation is a one-time event that happens in a person's life. Once a person believes in the substitutionary death and shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, then they are saved. That is where eternal salvtion becomes a non-issue as far as God is concerned. It's over and done with.

We have to start teaching people the Truth. We have so many false ideas as to what eternal salvation is or is not these days that Christians have a hard time moving away from the milk and on to deeper issues.

Eternal salvation is not a linear event meaning that it lasts until someone dies. It is a one-time event that happens and then is done with.

What happens in Scripture though is somewhere along the way people have misread context and come up with a false salvation that is one that is linear instead of one-time. They have misread a totally different subject and tried to force-fit it into eternal salvation doctrine and that's why we have so many variant topics on the singular subject.

Galatians is speaking to "saved" individuals. It is a warning to believers that God will not be mocked. What a "saved" person sows he will also reap. If sowing to the flesh they will reap corruption. If they are sowing to the Spirit then they will reap life.

If that passage is dealing with eternal salvation then you have a works-based salvation and Scripture contradicts Itself. And that is an impossibility.
