Not unless he wrote it, which obviously he does not have the scientific background to do.

</font>
Craig,

Actually, about half the book is about scientific issues, and I do have the scientific background to write about it.

This is exactly what I have been complaining about, when people submit posts about a book they haven't read. I'm looking forward to getting my new restricted forum going.

You are pre-supposing that I am running a "ministry" of some sort. I'm not, I'm just writing books and selling them, and there is nothing wrong with honest work. But some of my customers try to re-define it as "ministry" so they can get something for nothing and they expect me to give my books away free, and if I don't, they steal the books off the church bookstall.

I'm going to start a new thread about qualifications to write about creation. This will be interesting as you should see. Join me there, please.

No, I didn't get a mail order diploma, and I could do without all the junk mail that comes from America.
If it were not for America, both your posts and your books would have been written in German, if written at all!

You seem to enjoy bashing:

• Individuals who have a formal education—and the more education they have, the more you bash them

• Christians who think differently than you do

• 99.9% of the scientific community

• Institutions of higher learning that are noted for academic excellence

• Americans

Is it any wonder why you have to resort to the most desperate of means to sell you books?

Craig,
What makes you think that you can put yourself in the place of God, and judge another when you don't even know them. You neither know this person, and other than the degrees that he has posted do not have the faintest idea of the amount of personal study that he has done.
Please refraim from such personal attacks. It will only earn you either a suspension from the board or a possible ban.

Personal attacks will not be tolerated. The board has an edit button enabled. We encourage you to use it and edit your own words. Moderators and Administrators will be visibly proactive in dealing with potentially offensive situations. Posts of a violent or threatening nature, either implicitly or explicitly, will be deleted, and the poster's membership revoked. We encourage personal problems with other members be resolved privately via email or personal messaging.
5. No trolling. Trolling consists of provoking large volumes of responses by posting absurdities, deliberately offensive insults, etc.

I am not judging this man but only critiquing his qualifications to write books on the subject of creation “science,” a subject in which I have more than enough knowledge and professional training to evaluate this man’s credentials, and I have found them to be very much wanting. If you had the knowledge and professional training that I do, you would see this very clearly for yourself.

However, you are the moderator, and not I, and I shall simply ignore Mike’s posts from this moment on.

</font>
Craig,
You have no idea what credentials and educational background that I myself have in this area. While Mike has been kind enough to share some of his background you haven't shared your's. So, concerning your childish rant: "I'm better qualified than you are: na, na, na, boo-boo." I suggest you shut up, or put up. Enough of your childish nonsense, and enough said!

Reply to the topic at hand, and not attack the person or the reply will be deleted.

You have me very confused here as to what constitutes a personal attack as opposed to an important contribution to a thread the very topic of which questions the salvation of several members of this message board. It appears to me that you have falsely accused me of a personal attack when I critiqued Mike’s qualifications to write his book, and that you have deliberately and falsely quoted me as saying something that I have never said, casting a shadow, not upon my academic credentials, but upon my character. Is that not what a personal attack really is?

Is this one of your very "important contributions to a thread?"

I have lots of good friends in America, and I am not in any way anti-American. However, I find it distasteful when I get junk mail from America telling me I can buy a degree for just a few dollars.

This topic seems to have fizzled out during the week between Christmas and New Year because people were distracted by the festivities and forgot all about the questions of apparently lesser importance being discussed here.

For the benefit of those who do not have a problem with creation, the flood and the dispersal of nations, I have written a new topic in the History forum called Tracing your Ancestry to Adam.

Very interesting Mike. You might want to go to our other threads on evolution, they have been quite active lately. There are two, one about evolution in general based on the fact that most Christians voted "non-evolution", the other is "impossible steps for evolution". The last dealing with steps that would not provide a better organism without the whole. Therefore, supernatural intervention would necessarily be required (or YEC is the alternative).

Oh, and if you will send me about 1000 (English, Euro, UK pounds, I don't care--anything is more than nothing) I'll send you a very nice PHD certificate from the "University of Phillipi". Now, how's THAT for a deal? :D

Thanks for redirecting me.

As I've said already, I'm not into buying and selling degrees, but we are on the same wavelength here. I would consider it the ultimate indignity if I went somewhere with nothing to sell.

I posted the following on another thread about evolution but believe it equally apprporiate here:

Unfortunately many professing Christians have compromised the Biblical teaching of creation with the claims of evolution and embraced a concept called ‘theistic evolution’ teaching that God uses evolution to accomplish His creative purposes. The term ‘theistic evolution’ is self contradictory since the fundamental postulates of evolution are unlimited time and chance without design. The following remarks by leading evolutionists [from The Modern Creation Trilogy by Henry M. and John. D. Morris] show the absurdity of theistic evolution [and for that matter punctuated equilibrium].

Nobel prize winning biologist Jacques Monod writes:

“Natural selection is the blindest most cruel way of evolving new species. .... I am surprised that a Christian would defend the idea that this is the process which God more or less set up in order to have evolution.”

Evolutionist A. J. Mattell is even more perceptive:

“Those liberal and neo-orthodox Christians who regard the creation stories as myths or allegories are undermining the rest of Scripture, for if there was no Adam there was no fall; and if there was no fall, there was no hell; and if there was no hell, there was no need of Jesus as Second Adam and Incarnate Savior, crucified and risen. As a result the whole biblical system of salvation collapses. .... Evolution thus becomes the most potent weapon for destroying the Christian faith.”

And that is all I have to say on this subject. I have learned that discussion with an evolutionist, even those who claim to be Christians, is as useful as shoveling manure against a tidal wave.
