Can saved people drink alchoholic wine and really be saved?

From a cultural perspective, wine was oft used at the dinner table because of the poor condition of the water.

A drunk go to heaven and a person who lives by the rules go to Hell? What a testimony........

Both could end up in Hell,

Living by the rules in the Bible does not save someone..

Grace through Faith does...

Anything added to that, is an abominable heresy.

A person that drinks could go to Heaven... if they are covered by the Blood of Jesus Christ.

A person keeping the big 10 could go to Hell, if they are not covered by the blood of Jesus Christ.


It all depends whether or not God has declared them righteous...
None of us are righteous enough to go to Heaven.
We all fail to keep the rules...

God has to DECLARE us righteous based upon the finished work of Christ on calvary.

If a person is trusting on any of his own works to get to Heaven, that person does not have a proper understanding of what Christ has done for them, and therefore, they are on their way to Hell.

I will say though that a person who lived a perfect sinless life WOULD go to heaven....but actually he would never die in the first place.
But the point is that no one can ever do that at all.

What is the reason for drinking wine? One ansewer I worry about that was mentioned earlier was that "it made them feel better"

We know the bible warns against strong drink. We see the damage everyday that it does to peoples lives and families. There are a thousand of other beverages out there too drink,why wine? You can find all kinds of things that are good for your health and heart other then wine,and I dare say just as good or better. All easly accessable and cheaper too.
The truth is a lot of people like it for the buzz. I think you could easly bring some biblical principals into view on people who drink it because "it relaxes them" or "makes them FEEL better". Again there are other beverages or ways of relaxing or feeling better that the bible does not mention anything about, or warn you to stay away from. Why Wine?

Bottom line my friends and family drink wine, I don't buy thier reasoning but its between them and God. As long as they are not getting drunk I cannot say they are doing anything wrong.

I ordered a burgundy this evening with dinner and my wife drank about hald of it.
She had a really long day and it was so good for her.
She was really stressed and that small amount of red wine was just the thing to make her feel better tonight.

Translation: After drinking half a bottle of booze, my wife is drunk. Under the alfluence of incohol.

I am thankful to God for that blessing.

There are many reasons. I know a pastor who drinks a little for his heart. He was supposed to do this after he had a heart attack.

This evening after a VERY long and stressful day I got a glass a a mexican restaurant and shared it with my wife.
It cheered her up and made her feel better for the rest of the evening.

That is a blessing that I thank God for.
