Can you be a Christian AND (insert sin here)

Doesn't seem fair that Christians live like or worse than the unsaved, yet go to Heaven, while many people who are unsaved, live upright and even treat Christians better than God's people.. Yet they go to Hell.

How do you know they were really saved? The Bible speaks of people who profess to be Christians, but are not. Not all who say Lord, Lord will be in heaven.

I sure do hear that a lot! "Wrong Amy".

I did not say that Jesus did not pay the debt for all sins. I said that if a person rejects that payment and doesn't "believe", they still owe the debt. That's just my interpretation. But hey, I'm obviously wrong a lot of the time. :)

They cannot owe a debt that has already been paid... whether they reject it or not.

That would be like saying when my dad bought a new motorcycle for me at the harley davidson dealership, it was not truly paid for until I went down there and drove it off the lot.

NO, when Christ died on Calvary, the sin debt was paid whether I accepted His gift of Salvation or not.

It's not yours until you sign your name to the title, no matter who paid for it.

You may be wrong sometimes, but this time you are right.

If a person rejects Christ's payment for sin.. then the sin goes unpaid for.

The payment is available, Christ paid it.. but you have to appropriate it to your account... That is called propitiation...

Without God applying Christ's blood to your account... you still owe a sin debt.

The Bible in no way says this. The Bible does say:

Matthew 7:21 Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father wich is in heaven.

In no way shape or for can one have a biblical basis for the Kingdom of Heaven being "heaven" or "eternity.

There is a condition for those who desire to enter the kingdom. Only believers can "seek first the kingdom of God." The condition to enter is not "get saved." Believers are already saved. The condition is to do the will of the Father.

To say this is saved and unsaved people being compares is to say one must work for entrance to "heaven." You cannot use part of the verse without believing the other part also.

We must look at and believe every Word in the Scriptures.

God Bless.

Sin has been paid for regardless whether a person accepts Christ or not.

Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe.

Christ said on the cross, "It is finished". There is nothing else owed for sin, for Christ paid the debt for sin on the cross.

One goes to hell for rejecting Christ, the sin debt has been paid already.

Well I was going to comment on this, but it looks like my brother Accountable has already beat me to it :).

The Bible does not talk about professors, but not possessors like some claim. You either are or you are not. You either believe or you don't. If someone professes to believe, then they are saved no matter how much a person may not want them to be.

And those that cried Lord, Lord, where in fact saved individuals. There is no way they would be unsaved. Accountable has already touched on that, but there's even more that could be said.

Absolutely! I can elaborate if needed but I felt like I don't need to try and put out too much at a time. If one will read the whole chapter, one can clearly see who, and what He is talking about.

I thank God for sending His Son to pay the sin debt that I may simply believe, take Him at His Word, and be saved. Now that I am saved, I can now enter the race and fight the fight. My prayer is to be one that He can say "well Done" to. I do not want to hear "depart from me." Therefore, knowing the terror of the Lord, I gladly serve Him and see His guidance daily.

So if everyone's sin debt has been paid for..

Then everyone gets to go to Heaven...

When they reject Christ.. they reject his payment therefore the payment is still owed.

The payment has been given. Christ's blood was sprinkled in heaven as the atonement for the sins of the world. A person who rejects Christ goes to hell with his or her sins already paid for.

I give you the words of our dear Brother Arlen Chitwood in his volume: Salvation by Grace through Faith pg. 4 (Not copywrited and Brother Chitwood encourages us to quote him when it can help a Brother.)

God's message of eternal security in Scripture is so clear and simple that a child can understand all one needs to know in order to be saved. Christ has accomplished the work of redemption on our behalf, and His finished work has been extended to man as a "gift." Unredeemed man can do no more than simply receive (or reject) God's gift of redemption through His Son.
"Jesus paid it all," and God is satisfied with the price which His Son has paid. As in the words of Jonah immediately before being delivered from the place of death, "Salvation is of the Lord" (Jonah 2:9).

This is indeed just how simple it is.

In that case, there will be nobody in the Kingdom of Heaven because NOBODY does the will of the Father ALL the time.

But, that's why we have an all sufficient Savior.

I give up...

You all believe what you want.

If I say the sky is blue.. someone will say it is red...

Salvation is simple

God good
Man bad
Christ died
Man accept Christ
Man good

So easy a caveman can understand it..
but yet we make it difficult.

Before you go to bed tonight, thank God for His love and grace.

If a person rejects God's payment for sin, the sin is still paid for---salvation is a gift. You can reject a gift and it will still be paid for because someone purchased it for you. Christ's blood paid for all sin---if a person rejects that payment, it does not mean that the debt was not paid. A person will go to hell for the rejection of that payment for his/her sins.

Appropriate is NOT the same as propitiation.

APPRO'PRIATE, v.t. L. ad and proprius, private, peculiar. See Proper.

1. To set apart for, or assign to a particular use, in exclusion of all other uses; as, a spot of ground is appropriated for a garden.

2. To take to one's self in exclusion of others; to claim or use as by an exclusive right.

Let no man appropriate the use of a common benefit.

3. To make peculiar; as, to appropriate names to ideas.

4. To sever an ecclesiastical benefice, and annex it to a spiritual corporation, sole or aggregate, being the patron of the living.

APPRO'PRIATE
, a.

1. Belonging peculiarly; peculiar; set apart for a particular use or person; as, religious worship is an appropriate duty to the Creator.

2. Most suitable, fit or proper; as, to use appropriate words in pleading.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PROPITIATION, n. propisia'shon.

1. The act of appeasing wrath and conciliating the favor of an offended person; the act of making propitious.

2. In theology, the atonement or atoning sacrifice offered to God to assuage his wrath and render him propitious to sinners. Christ is the propitiation for the sins of men. Rom.3. 1 John 2.

Webster's 1828 Dictionary

Jesus Christ is our propitiation--we don't propitiate anything to our account---Jesus Christ paid it all.

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; (Romans 3:25)

And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. (1 John 2:2)

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. (1 John 4:10)

Are you denying the scripture given in Matthew? We cannot argue with Scripture.

I agree nobody does the will of the Father all of the time. What does this have to do with what Jesus said? The Bible didn't say we are perfect but it did say we are to strive for perfection.

Remember Romans 12:1-2?

Just to cover all ground...... to you have any Scripture to reject accountability before God and the gropunds for rewards?

QUOTE]

The truth would be

God good
Man sinner
Christ Died
Man accept Christ
Man saved sinner.

We do not lose the sin nature, not till we take our last dying breath.

You would agree with this wouldn't you?

If there is no accountability and man becomes good at salvation, we would never have a problem in the church. Never a cross word as husband and wife. As our children believe upon Christ they would no longer need discipline. They would be "good."

I sincerely believe you meant something else. Would I be correct?

You said only those (believers) who do the will of the Father will be in the Kingdom of Heaven, so
What is the will of the Father?

Actually it is all but blue since the wavelength of blue is what is reflected back.. therefore it is every color but blue...blue is bounced back...:wavey:

Now see what you all have done... I am now disagreeing with myself!!!
This is one symptom of being a BB addict...
I may have to be admitted to the BB detox unit...:praying: :tonofbricks:
