I'll answer as honestly as I can.

It depends. Some brand new Christians - still dripping water from Baptism so-to-speak - have been taught error, have their own baggage that includes error, and have MUCH ROOM for growth.

The Bible says of itself that "all scripture is profitable.....". To me, that means from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21 and everywhere in between.

It's not just that some don't accept the words of Paul, others reject the Old Testament.

I don't understand any of that rejection of God's Word, but I've seen it.

If someone has been erroneously taught that Paul's words conflict with Christ, then they need some correct teaching and they need some sanctification from the Holy Spirit.

You can be saved and initially and wrongly believe that something is wrong with Paul's words, but if you are INDEED indwelt with the Holy Spirit and follow his leadership that should change.

Any of Paul's teachers or all of them?

1 Corinthians 15:3-4, For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: . . .

Galatians 2:21, I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

But what did Paul write about in his letters? The same things that he preached about:

“For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” (1Co 2:2 NKJV)

If someone doesn't believe Paul's letters from the bible, why should they believe anything else in the bible?

I have occasionally come across people who when faced with something taught in one of Paul's letters, say something like "That was just what Paul wrote."

You would actually need to point out what Paul taught differently than Christ.

After all these years I haven't found anything that he taught differently.

I Cor. 3:11
"For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ."

Paul built his entire foundation on Christ.

The question was once asked if one could be a Christian without believing in the Trinitarian nature of God.
I believe that the answer to that question and the question you asked are quite similar;

One who professes the know Jesus can do so without knowing about the Trinity or believing the teachings of Paul, …

…however anyone who might deny the Trinity or who denies following the teachings of Paul after they are taught about them, that person I would suspect didn’t really make a true confession of faith.

********

There’s a cult church in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania, not too far from where I used to live.
Followers of the New Church, Swedeborgian’s had a very limited New Testament canon including only the Gospels and Revelation.

I had a homosexual tell me that Paul corrupted the teachings of Jesus by adding so much to it (like a Pharisee might).
He stated, "What did Jesus say about homosexuality? Absolutely nothing!"
In other words, Jesus didn't condemn it. That was Paul adding to the Gospel. *Sigh*

I did not believe in the virgin birth when I was born again. I had heard the term but was unclear even what a virgin was or how such a thing could happen. Obviously, I was a pre-teen :)

BUT when I learned what the virgin birth was and what it meant to the deity of Christ, I embraced it. To have rejected it with full understanding of the doctrine would have anyone question the validity of my testimony of saving faith.

This is akin to an honest question of Paul's writing. (Side note: We have more people in my area who accept Paul's writings and reject all the rest of the Bible!! And some who only believe Paul's writings AFTER his imprisonment (Acts 28) which eliminates all the Bible except I &II Timothy and Titus.

I was thinking the same about the doctrine of the Trinity. It is one thing to be saved and not believe it (obviously the norm wouldn't be to believe it and later be saved) and another thing to reject it.

Where is a complete plan of salvation in John?
Are you saying John's account omits the death burial and resurrection?
John 20:31, But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

If that's all you have to do, the Demons are saved.

1 John 3:8, He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

The complete gospel is not presented in John.
You do not get the complete gospel without the Pauline Epistles.

Luke, John, and Paul's letters lack Psalms 22:1 which only Matthew and Mark include. Only John's account has Jesus' word saying it is finished.
