Carrie Underwood succumbes to Hollywood pressure

This could possibly open a HUGE can of worms here. If you have people in church openly supporting gay marriage, then what is the next step? Before you know it, they will be supporting taking them in as members of the church.

Jerome, thanks for sharing the message from gracepointe. I really enjoyed the first part dealing with Romans 14-15 on "judging". I do not follow his lead and direction into the cultural discussion of sexuality. If his message had ended after the first part, imo, it would have been great. I do think we need to wrestle with these things, but to communicate real love and truth in relevant, honest and genuine ways rather than seeking some "happy compromise".

I agree 100%

Actually, I thought about the 1st half, maybe a bit more, was just superb.

But the rest...not so much.

There is simply NO..POSSIBLE..WAY to come to any conclusion, regarding homosexuality, then 100 % condemnation. There is no other option.

Do you treat homosexuals kindly and respectfully? OF COURSE! Can you be friends with them? OF COURSE!

But we HAVE TO be honest with them and tell them the truth

Well there was a meeting in the Spring that had several "learned persons" in mental health profession who were seeking to remove the stigma of same sex with under age children, so after gay marriage, that would ne next thing to be coming in!

Time Magazine Jan. 29, 2015

For the past three years, GracePointe has engaged itself in a time of listening on the topic of sexual orientation and identity. It began around the time that the country star Carrie Underwood, who goes to GracePointe, spoke out in favor of marriage equality in 2012

on Sunday, Jan. 11, the church reached a conclusion, as Mitchell shared:
“Our position that these siblings of ours, other than heterosexual, our position that these our siblings cannot have the full privileges of membership, but only partial membership, has changed,” he said, as many in the congregation stood to their feet in applause, and other sat in silence.

As I pointed out in an earlier post, many gospel musicians have ties to this church. Buck Rambo and one of the gals from Avalon are ministers there, Michael English attends, and Mark Lowry has been closely associated with the church. As well as Lari Goss who just passed away.

The main reason government gets involved in marriage are for tax purposes. Government doesn't care is a homosexual marries a Zebra. It's all about the tax. :tonofbricks:

Corrupt and greedy lawyers turned politician(s) are only concerned about their next election so this issue of homosexual marriage is a gigantic throne in their back-sides and they do wish it would go away.

Truth be known..., I am so thankful to the Lord that I'm just a regular guy with nothing to boast about. Nothing for the world to marvel over or buy albums from. Had I graduated from Yale..., oh, never mind.
