I still have the equipment, but is not hooked up. Got to be that all on CB around here were nutt jobs. My grandpa could regularly talk to England from Ga. He Had a 1500 watt amp and 48 DB gain directional beams. Of course it was skip, but you got to have the juice to regularly talk that kind of skip.Do you currently have a CB radio?
in you vehicle, how about a portable one?
If so - do you use it often, sparingly - maybe you just listen?
Did you used to have one back during the CB craze of the middle '70's.
and what is/was you handle??

Do you still use it? That's what my granddad's radio was. I still have it, but have not talked on it in years. I am sure you know how to make it scream like an eagle when you key it?Golden Eagle

Don't make Mick Foley mad. Socko will get you.My handle was Cactus Jack, but I was in some kind of competition with a couple of truckers that used it.
me tooI’ve pondered getting into HAM radio strictly for backup communications
havent done much with it
I know zilch about CB communication equipment, had a cousin loved to talk, gift of gab, was into it big time back in the 70s. I’ve pondered getting into HAM radio strictly for backup communications in the event of a zombie apocalypse. Haven’t mustered the enthusiasm to do it yet.
