CDC now says coronavirus 'does not spread easily' via contaminated surfaces

“Dr. John Whyte, the chief medical officer for the healthcare website WebMD, called the CDC’s changes an “important step in clarifying how the virus is spread, especially as we gain new information.”

“It also may help reduce anxiety and stress. Many people were concerned that by simply touching an object they may get coronavirus and that’s simply not the case. Even when a virus may stay on a surface, it doesn’t mean that it’s actually infectious,” Whyte told Fox News in an email.”

Its not airborne. Its airborne. It spreads from surfaces. It does not spread from surfaces. CDC is a bunch of idiots.

The article defies common sense, is misleading and puts forth bad and unproductive advice. I guarantee that people aren't only spreading this virus by mere kissing and air droplets, this (information) is no revelation mystery that someone has discovered to "help reduce anxiety and stress" as they's like you to think. Like any virus it goes from hands to eyes-nose mouth! If it can transfer from hand <-> hand it can transfer from hand <-> door knob <-> hand or from mouth-nose-hand-air <-> grocery product <-> hand TO nose-mouth-eyes. I'll second that the "CDC is a bunch of idiots." to put out such nonsense which in this case is the opposite of teaching people to take important precautions to slow the spread.

Even when a virus may stay on a surface, it doesn’t mean that it’s actually infectious,”

I mean REALLY!!! Its infectious when it reaches where it needs to go to infect no matter the route!

In movie terms, the sequel to “We’re All Gonna Die” produced by the Doomers, now when faced with good news is “The Doomers Strike Back”.
That is not "good news" it is stupid news that shouldn't even be repeated because stupid people will believe it to be true .

The article defies common sense

Apparently, the Doomers insist that we should follow every little piece of advice from the “experts”, unless it is a piece of good news from the “experts”; in that case. the Doomers insist that we listen to them, not the “experts”.

I said it defies common sense not virus denier's sense. I'd welcome you to go around touching commonly touched items and sucking on your fingers to test this latest "expert piece of advice" out, that for some odd reason you seem to love and willing to accept - but common sense would hopefully tell you that would be a really stupid thing for you to do now wouldn't it?

God sent out covid19 as a conqueror to conquer. Nobody, not the cdc, not the WHO and company, no one is going to stop it until God says stop. It was supposed to affect all, and will affect all.

Satan and Bill Gates may want credit for any of the good it may have done, but God gets all the Glory.

Why don't we read the actual article and not someone's spin on it. Here is the relevant portion:

The virus does not spread easily in other ways
COVID-19 is a new disease and we are still learning about how it spreads. It may be possible for COVID-19 to spread in other ways, but these are not thought to be the main ways the virus spreads.

  • From touching surfaces or objects. It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes. This is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads, but we are still learning more about this virus.
Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) - Transmission

So, it's possible to get Covid-19 from touching surfaces and objects BUT is not the main way that the virus spreads. This is nothing new. We already knew this.

It's like they are saying you had a 40% chance of getting Covid this way, and now you have a 15% chance. (Numbers are for example only and not the actual odds.)

The Fox News headline states "CDC now says coronavirus does not spread easily via contaminated surfaces." This phrasing implies that the CDC once said it was easily spread in this manner.

OK, so when did the CDC say that Covid is spread easily by touching contaminated surfaces? Did they ever say this?

I bet you wash your hands. You do, don't you?

If so, why?

Dunno. In this political environment, you never know what's true.

Bottom line, protect those at risk and let everyone else back to their lives.

The bottom line is that the Doomers are now on the defensive and in an absolute panic as their efforts to use the force of government to enforce their control on society are beginning to be pushed back by the Resistance.

I read the Bible.

Could you be more specific? I have read the Bible, also, I don’t recall reading about COVID-19 anywhere in it. Are you sure you are not just reading news headlines back into the Bible? It is not unusual for people to do that.

I swear Fox News is getting as bad as the mainstream media's fake news, I'm rather sad to see them decline as they are and surprised they would not want to avoid reaching the same level of not being trusted as in the path the Left has chosen.
