it was factual reporting. Instead of the lousy excuse that he was misquoted, he should have admitted to misrepresenting facts, that is if the deal is still in place.
The statement was so clear, free of ambiguity or possibility of alternative interpretation. It was not the media houses fault that everyone understood the deal to be off. For crying out sake even Fox' caption is clear on that. Did you listen to Navarro interview, or do you get your news from Trump's Twitter handle?

Navarro never 'misspoke', he either is as incompetent as his boss who suggested zapping your innards with UV to kill Rona, so bad that he had no idea the deal was still in place, or he was accurate in his statement that it is over but Trump is just lying to save face since he has been touting the deal as an achievement.
My personal take is, China discovered how much power it wields and it pushed for renegotiation. America is helpless and had to follow through. China is calling the shots. The fickle sanctions on officials running the Uiyghur detention camps but not on China itself tells you China is no push over. China is not Iran.

It is a lie (half-truth is giving you the benefit of doubt) that he did anything more than raise the possibility of looking into UV or other light therapy WHICH FYI we have barely tapped the surface of light therapy and as one who who practices physical therapy I've used UVB to cure psoriasis several times where conventional therapy has failed and there are currently multiple studies looking into harnessing the power of UV and developing subcutaneous transmission and UBI has been proven to be effective in treatment of several diseases. You might want to get past your TDS and open your mind like Trump who thinks out of the box rather than simplemindedly discount the idea of developing a new therapeutic remedy out of spite that could potentially save lives.
