Christ the risen Saviour, not potential Saviour! 2

Its a disgrace to the Name of Jesus Christ to teach Salvation is merely a possibility or potential through Him.

Matt 1:21

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now who are His People here ? Lets look at Jn 17:1-2

These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:

2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life or save to as many as thou hast given him.

These persons, some of mankind, not all, were given to Jesus Christ by His Father to save or to give eternal life to. These are His People.

Again Jn 6:37-39

37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

There is nothing potential about Christ Saving His People from their sins. Theres nothing about Jesus Christ merely making Salvation possible. Jesus saved all whom His Father purposed to be saved by Him ! 2

He saves them to the uttermost !

Those sinners Christ came to save, He came to save them to the uttermost as He lives to make intercession for them Heb 7:25

25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

That word uttermost means :

all complete, entire

completely, perfectly, utterly

Yet in man's religion, He's a potential Saviour.
More idiotic absurdity, Jesus is the means of reconciliation for all of fallen humanity, but not everyone "receives" the reconciliation. That is why we have the ministry of reconciliation, begging the lost to be reconciled to God.

All this wordplay to push false doctrine by inference and innuendo is demonic deception.

Jesus only saves those given to Him. John 6:37

God gives to Him everyone who believes into Him, those whose faith God credits as righteousness. John 3:16, Romans 4:23-25.

Jesus became the means of salvation not only for us, but for the whole of humanity, 1 John 2:2.

Jesus paid the ransom for all, those to be saved and those never to be saved, 2 Peter 2:1.

1 John 2:2 says Christ became the means of reconciliation for the whole of humanity, unless that refers to the potential of salvation, the denial pushes the false doctrine of universalism.

Try reading the verse this way, Christ reconciled not only us, but the whole of humanity. Not what it says...

Thus Christ became the means of reconciliation, laying down His life as a ransom for all. But not everyone "receives" the reconciliation. That is how to correctly present the gospel.

Jesus saves everyone the Father gives to Him, after crediting their faith as righteousness!

False teaching, Jesus by His Death reconciled the elect to God Rom 5:10

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

Again, amen.

When God's elect were enemies ( in their hearts and minds ), they were reconciled to God by the death of His Son...
Much more, being reconciled ( and at peace and in friendship with Him ) we shall be saved by His ( Christ's ) life.

His death accomplished reconciliation for them.

Yes thats the legal phase of salvation
Much more, being reconciled ( and at peace and in friendship with Him ) we shall be saved by His ( Christ's ) life.
The elects spiritual phase and eternal phase of salvation are ensured by Christs life, also His Intercession
His death accomplished reconciliation for them.
Absolutely and it ensures all application of spiritual blessings.

I think the doctrinal argument laid forth in the 1689 London more than adequately addresses that view.

Yet you believe Jesus Christ by His Death saved no one. How is that trusting scripture?

Because that is what the bible says BF.

1Co 15:17 And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins.

His death covered the sins of the whole world BF.

1Jn 2:2 He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

His death made it possible for all to be saved but faith in the risen Christ is why one is saved.

Rom 1:16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes,

What is the gospel message BF?

1Co 15:3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
1Co 15:4 that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

What are we told we must do to be saved BF?

Act 16:30 Then he brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
Act 16:31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household.”

BF you can continue t trust what your calvinism has taught you or you can believe the word of God but only one is true. Choose wisely.

This is referring to those already reconciled during their physical lifetime after putting their faith in the truth.
More false teaching, its only elect reconciled world here.
More false teaching, 1 John 2:2 refers to the whole of humanity, and not only to those who have been reconciled.

His death accomplished reconciliation for them.

But you are overlooking the truth that God through Christ reconciled the world to Himself.

2Co 5:18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation,
2Co 5:19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

When you imply that only the saved were reconciled to God then you shortchange what the death of Christ accomplished.

God, through Christ, reconciled the world to Himself thus making it possible for man to be reconciled to God. Man must submit to God's terms of mercy, faith in His risen son. God has removed all the obstacles to reconciliation which existed on his part. Now it remains that man should lay aside his hostility, abandon his sins, embrace the terms of mercy, and become in fact reconciled to God.

As I see it,
If the entire world is now reconciled to God, Silverhair, then no one should be in Hell right now, and no one will ever face the Lord's judgement for their sins.

Instead, we're told that there are indeed people in Hell, and there will indeed be people who will experience the torment of everlasting punishment...
and that death and Hell ( I take this to mean the contents of it ) will be cast into the Lake of Fire.

So, if "world" there means everyone, then everyone is now reconciled to God... and will never face eternal fire.

Wouldn't you agree?
