Christ the risen Saviour, not potential Saviour! 2

The fact Christ died for the lost while they were yet sinners is not in dispute.
That they were reconciled to God while enemies is in dispute by you. Rom 5:10

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

The word of the Gospel of reconciliation is found in 2 Cor 5:19 per non imputation of sin. You don't preach that , you dont preach the Gospel. And anyone whom the Lord doesn't impute sin is highly blessed and forgiven Rom 4

7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

The world in 2 Cor 5 19 is forgiven and blessed

As I said BF your understanding of scripture is distorted by the calvinist views that you hold.

You filter the word of God through your calvinism.

Yet another idiotic absurdity. The issue is not that Christ died for the lost, but the utter false claim when He died He reconciled the lost.

When are the lost reconciled? When God transfers them into Christ and they undergo the washing of regeneration. Not before.

If thats what you want to call the Gospel, thats on you.
Here, once again, we see the Calvinism character on display. He edits my words and then attributes a false meaning.

This is their standard behavior on this board.

Christ became the means of reconciliation for the whole of humanity by His sacrificial death, His "ransom for all." And He saves every lost member of humanity God gives to Him based on crediting their faith as righteousness.

Matt 1:21

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Acts 5:31

31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

In these last and evil days the Christ of scripture has been sorely misrepresented by mans religion, for they make him out to be a possible saviour, a contingent saviour, based upon the performance of a condition by man.

However, that's not the Saviour Christ of the scripture revelation, far from it. The Jesus Christ of scripture is a Saviour because He shall save [not all without exception] His People from their sins, its a word of promise, therefore conditioned on God in Christ alone! 2

The "We" refers to those in view at that time, after their faith had been credited as righteousness, and after they were once "nut a people", and after they were children of wrath. Your view is absolute nonsense and everyone should know it.

The we are believers but they testify of what Christ death did for them while they were unbelieving enemies. It reconciled them to God.

More time travel theology, more putting the cart before the horse. And note the fact every lost person is conceived in iniquity as a "made sinner" means they were not yet a chosen people, not yet mercifully washed in His blood. Ask yourselves, if you had been chosen for salvation, would you be a child of wrath or a child of God. Would you be without mercy or would you have received mercy? The doctrine of the dark ages falls apart under study.

You striving against the truth
You have flamed out and crashed, unable to even address the many verses that prove your doctrines are falsehoods.

1) We were once not a people, therefore not yet chosen to be His own possession.
2) We were once children of wrath, therefore not yet chosen to be children of God.
3) We were once without mercy, therefore not yet mercifully chosen for God's own possession.
4) We were once dead in our sins, therefore not yet made alive together with Christ. Therefore we were not individually chosen "in Him" before the foundation of the world. Rather we were chosen and placed into Him when God credited our faith as righteousness, 2 Thessalonians 2:13.
5) When we were chosen and placed into Him, Christ went from our potential savor, to our actual savor. Those that deny the lost have the opportunity for salvation because Christ provides their means of reconciliation, deny the very gospel of Christ.

The Elect were Elect before the foundations of the world.
Here seems to be a valid statement. God chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, Ephesians 1:4. The assumption is God chose us as foreseen individuals before we were created. What alternate interpretation is possible? God chose us not individually but corporately, before the foundation of the world. The idea is that when God chose His Redeemer, His Lamb of God before the foundation of the world, He also chose corporately, those His Redeemer might redeem according to His redemption plan. This view is consistent with being individually chosen during our lifetime after we have existed as "not a people," having not received mercy, having been a child of wrath, having been dead in our sins. None of this fits with the view we were individually chosen before creation, thus never being "not a people" for His own possession, having received mercy, and being a child of God.

I have yet to met a poster who even addresses the issue, they just ignore the fact their view is in conflict with many verses.

Ever wonder how a person could be chosen to confound the wise, if they did not exist in a fallen culture? Or be chosen as someone who is poor to the world? Or chosen as someone who loves God before they were even created?

Eph 1:4
even as he chose (ELECT) us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love

I am surprise that you would make such a obvious mistake in understanding that verse.

Calvinist place the emphasis on "in Him, and "in Christ" and they fail to understand that if we are already in Christ from the foundation of the world, then we were never "in Adam" and never needed salvation.
