UC is a state university. Far from hunting Christians who teach "non-evolutionary biology", they simply don't accept "non-evolutionary biology" as real or sufficient science. They don't accept 3rd grade phys. ed. as a creditted science course either.

The results of this case will hopefully award extensive punitive damages to the plaintiffs.
I don't see how if all they have to do is prove proficiency by passing the GED test.

University policy and shall be without regard to race, religion, ethnicity

USC IS NOT A STATE SCHOOL
It is a highly-regarded and academically excellent school. I did graduate work there.

Why would you expect one of the great universities to accept creationism as a serious theory?

University policy and shall be without regard to race, religion, ethnicity
Right. That means that creationists can't expect the university to endorse their religion.

USC

University of Southern California ...

"The University of Southern California is one of the world's leading private research universities."

web page

Catholic in origin if my memory serves me correctly ...

But, it is NOT part of UC and using it as an example when discussing the discrimination of the UC campuses against believers was evasive.

Oh, well, if it's a private university it can discriminate on whatever grounds it likes. Indeed, Bob Jones University at one time had a policy against interracial dating.

But wait, this is UC, not USC, and UC is a public university. In which case I'll keep my original position that as long as the class prepares students comparably to secular classes, the only reason for rejecting it is ideology.

Although the following website doesn't specifically say that UC is the California state university system, I believe it is because UC at Berkeley is one of its campuses.

Wow, we can't even figure out if UC is a state university system, a private college or a Catholic one.

Thanks, El_Guero. The lawsuit was filed against UC. Is that a state university? I thought so.

Yes, UC is a STATE of California school.

That is the school that is discriminating against Christians.

Earlier someone used USC's online documentation to support discrimination at the UC schools - that is not correct logic.

I see. Is USC not part of the state university system in California, then? What organization is it affiliated with?

OK. At least we agree that UC is the State University System of California. I guess if Christians want to attend any of their schools around the state, they have to go through a central admissions office.

Gee, imagine the State University System of California discriminating against people just because they think that neo-Darwinist biological theories are racist and shouldn't be taught in public high schools, universities and colleges.

It was a mistake - I googled on univerity & california and that was one of the results.

Nice the way some people automatically assign the worst motives to others - so much for charity.

I doubt that came up on the admissions interview. Students are expected to successfully complete certain courses, whatever their personal opinions may be. Those students did not.
