OldRegular, I read all the quotes. I don't see one that characterizes all Christians. Can you provide simply one quote where he characterizes all Christians?
His latest challenge came Thursday at the National Prayer Breakfast. At a time of global anxiety over Islamist terrorism, Obama noted pointedly that his fellow Christians, who make up a vast majority of Americans, should perhaps not be the ones who cast the first stone.
“Humanity has been grappling with these questions throughout human history,” he told the group, speaking of the tension between the compassionate and murderous acts religion can inspire. “And lest we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ. In our home country, slavery and Jim Crow all too often was justified in the name of Christ.”

Yes, I did read that. That doesn't characterize all Christians based on those examples. He is simply stating that during those times in history, evil deeds were done in the name of Christ.

Obama would probably like to get away from a religion such as Christianity and join a cool religion such as Islam. I am worried that Obama may go on a crusade or something.

Reads like all to me!
Reads like all to me!
So, let me rephrase what he said:
"I've just got done telling you all about horrible things done in the name of Islam. Before we (he's including himself as a Christian) get up on our high horse and throw the first stone, we should remember that there were also evil things done in the name of Christ."
So that is what you call characterizing all Christians because of the deeds of a part?
Not really! As with most paraphrases yours does not do Obama's remarks justice.
Yes, we (all Christians) are clinging to our guns and Bibles.Obama has already characterized all Christians based on the actions of the Crusaders a thousand years or so ago! The Westboro Baptists haven't taken a single life that I have heard about!

Obama is playing it safe. He says: “In our household, the Bible, the Koran and the Bhagavad Gita sat on the shelf alongside books of Greek and Norse and African mythology”

Hmm, I wonder if "on the shelf" is where his bible stays.

No, the anti-Christ brings 3 1/2 years of peace and safety. Obama represents liberal appeasement trying to bring peace.
Appeasment? You keep using that word.
"I do not think it means what you think it means"
If by appeasement you mean sponsoring bloody regime changes, funding and arming proxy murderers to do the neocon's dirty work of building G.H.W. Bush's "new world order" and antagonizing other nations with threats of force and economic warfare then yeah ok I agree. Obama is an appeaser.
But, if you mean appeasement as the dictionary defines it then . . . . . . congratulations, you've once again succeeded in placing yourself far enough away from the truth that you should have no worry of being tainted by it.
I'm curious, what would it take for you to change your mind about Obama's "appeasement"? Would using nukes on Russia, Iran and Cuba be sufficient?
