is it true that national debt under Trump, apart from the Covid payments, is the worst ever?
I think that Clinton was the last president to LOWER the debt ... each new President after him tried to outspend the administration before them.

Heathcare and Social Security and Welfare and Defense have all been "large and growing budgets" that no one can or will cut.

OK.
  • We are already squandering TRILLIONS, so "more of the same" is no real change.
  • Israel already has Nuclear capability and only respect for the US prevents them from dealing with Iran unilaterally. If the US stops being an "ally", then Israel's hands are untied. The Seven Day War showed that God still watches over Israel.
  • China has already surpassed the US in GNP. The reality is that absent some radical change (and the US never changes policy RADICALLY), we have begun a long slow decline out of First Place ... like the British Empire of an earlier century. We can beat our chests and claim whatever we want, but the larger economy supports the most growth and toys so the gap will only widen. Besides, Russia will only allow the US to get so close to China before they manipulate the media with THEIR bots. Motivated self interest at its best.

Obama had a deal that the USA would attack Israel to defend Iran from an Israeli attack. Biden is sure to reinstate that.

I have always heard that democracies ultimately degenerate into totalitarianism. The US appears to be moving in that direction very quickly! So sad! :(

I think most in this area expected the DNC to win when the GOP Senate linked the 2K payment to non-COVID issues just after condemning the DNC in the House for linking the 2K payment to non-COVID issues.

If it were not for the 2K issue (which I do not believe should be paid out, but the GOP legitimized it in a way when they condemned the DNC for using the American people as pawns) and President Trump's condemnation for Kemp I think that the GOP may have won.

Obama deported more illegals than Trump did. Is that right?
Yes, that is right. Obama deported more than Trump, Bush more than Obama, and Clinton more than Bush.

And the system of putting children in "cages" was done by the Obama-Biden administration (although you would not know it looking at Democrat talking points).

Trump turned on many of his friends! I think that John Boulton should be the POTUS!

Not really. His platform was not deporting illegals but strengthening the boarder. We also have to consider where the people were being deported from (a border area vs mid-America), the ease of re-entry, and such. We can't just look at numbers on this one.

Yep. But at the same time that is why Trump was elected.

Trump's problem was his ego, pride, and character flaws. But he is far less corrupt than Biden, the DNC, and really the GOP. He has accomplished more (more good things) than perhaps any other President in my memory (I did not pay attention to politics until Clinton). In a way I think it is a good thing to have cracked the establishment, but I don't know that it'll fall apart. Both the GOP and the DNC are weak and conflicted, at the same time these are the only two viable parties.

In the end (and this is the end for the Trump administration) the best we can hope for is that having a businessman rather than a politician in office, while problematic, may have shown at least a few more people the failure of our government (both parties).

President Trump was right that the "swamp" needs to be drained. But he had no plan to drain it.

when Trump became President in 2016, the GOP had the WH Senate and House of Reps. In 2028 the GOP lost the latter. For his first two years, how much of his "wall" was constructed? Why did he wait till the Dems controlled the House of Reps, to try and get funds for this, knowing that they would never agree?

For Trump it was a battle from the beginning (even before he took the Presidency). The DNC fought to delegitimize the 2016 election and now Trump is fighting to delegitimize the 2020 election.

But that's part of what I'm talking about. The "wall" couldn't be constructed right off, it needed to be planned and funded. President Trump, I think, was unaware of the challenges it would be to get things accomplished.

The issue is that Biden is worse than Trump (we know Biden going into this thing, he's been around forever). Trump is not an honest man. But Biden is crazy dishonest (he makes crazy claims that is easily disproven).

It is not about Trump or Biden. It is about the GOP and the DNC. Both are corrupt and evil entities. Both use American people as political capital. Both are only interested in power. And neither will accomplish their goals because it is not in their best interest to do so.

Trump had no idea the swamp was so deep. You have been no help. What you call character flaws are just his salesman’s personalty. I worked in high end real estate for one of the richest Democrats in the country and his personalty was very much like Trump’s.

You would like Romney.
