Good morning all,

It was 80º at 5:00 a.m. this morning with the humidity standing steady at 100% and an expected high of 97º with a heat index of 105º. We have a Heat Advisory out until tomorrow night.

The county fair starts this morning, but I doubt it will do much until it cools down. People are dying out in the heat and this one is staying home!

We made orange/banana smoothies last night and they were the best we'd had so far. Tonight it is strawberry smoothies. We will keep experimenting until we find several favorites, then just make those. It should be much healthier than a sweet snack before bedtime...

I made enough smoothies to bring in here, so help yourself. They're in the fridge.

I'm going online today to order Brent's schoolbooks for this year (7th grade) at www.schooloftomorrow.com. I don't have to order the Score Keys because one of my granddaughters is one year ahead of Brent and my DIL is saving her Score Keys for me each year. We will start school once they arrive.

Time for breakfast,
§ue

Mmmm! Smoothies! Thanks Sue.

Ha! My girls are going to die next week when they have to get up at 6 am and get ready for school! I started waking them up at 7 yesterday. Jenna promptly finds another spot to sleep in and Cassie gets up and presents herself and then goes back upstairs, "to get dressed". Funny, it didn't used to take 3 hours for her to get dressed.

Chris was up before me and had his friend up too! They were in the LR playing video games. I told them they should have had the coffee poured and waiting on T and me when we got up. :D

Gotta bit of praise this morning: Chris' new meds seem to be working quite well. We were able to stop a migraine midstream yesterday for the first time ever. Yay!!!

Today will be spent sanding and sewing! There's not much sanding to do so I'm going to get it done first. I got the embroidery done on the baby outfits last night. It took all afternoon to get it exactly the way I wanted it. Now that it is done it shouldn't take long to put the outfits together.

Ugg! Cassie just reminded me we have dentist appointments this pm. I gotta go get started!

Good Morning!

Just wait until January and we won't be complaining about the heat, except for those of you south of the Mason-Dixon line. Heat advisory here for the 2nd day now. Our high yesterday hit 100 with heat index of 105, our low last night was 78 and it is now 90. Supposed to hit over 100 today.

I think I'll try a smoothie, never had one before.

Wonder of there is a minimum age for membership in the BB? Sean likes coming to the coffeehouse so much,as soon as I sit down at the computer he wants to be held so he can see the screen, then he looks at it like a cat watching a bird. What's that Sean?? You're not lookin' at birds, you're lookin' for chicks. Oh, I get it now. You're looking for Aunt Bitsy, Aunt Cindi, Aunt Gayla, and Aunt Sue.:love2:(in alphabetical order)

I posted last night that Sean will have his surgery next week, and unfortunately his Papa can't be there. I just don't deal very well with this:tear: , and my doc says that it's best that I'm not there. Great when You can't be there when you want to be, and need to be. So I'll be home watchin' the other 4 grandkids(ages 12-7-5-and 4), and waiting for a phone call.

I think I'll just sit back and enjoy my smoothie, and watch Sean make his rounds. He's like a six month old Hugh Hefner, cuddling in his PJs with his four playmates.:love2: .

Pulleeze! Don't compare my darling cyber nephew to that nasty old pervert. You'll make me grumpy! (and I bet it'll make for some interesting google ads. )

(((((Sean)))))

You'll just have to let us here on the BB keep you company Tuesday, Rob. Well us and FOUR KIDS!!!! I thought I was the only one here brave enough to have four or more kids in my house at one time, when I was the only adult!!!!!!

Hmmm, this post has turned out scarey two eeks in two sentences!

On to good news: THE SANDING IS NOW COMPLETE. WE ARE READY FOR PRIMER!!!!!!

Sorry Cindi,

I agree, talk about a dirty OLD man!
I just meant that Sean likes to be held by beautiful women( 4 in this coffeehouse in particular).:love2:

Sean is just so happy when he gets his hugs from his cyber aunts. We all know that they wouldn't think of spoiling him, would they??

I can't go to the hospital because I can't stop crying. Everybody's going to be close to the edge anyway until the surgery is over. I wouldn't be helping anybody, including myself, by being there.

With the exception of CJ (the youngest) the kids are easy to watch. They entertain themselves, and all I really have to do is check on them, and make sure they get fed.

I will almost certainly be spending next Wednesday in the BB. I know I'll be a nervous wreck until the surgery is over. That's the nice thing about the BB, even if I can't control myself enough to post. I can still read other's posts.

I will be the person who needs the (((( ))))) that day.

Ha! At least part of you IS here, Rob. The rest of us seem to have left the building! Not even a lunch crowd today!

Of course, I have an excuse. We've been dentisting this pm. And that brings me to my mini rant of the day.

T saw this car on one of our local lots over the weekend. He told me to stop by and see what they wanted for it and whether it was a 4 or 6 cylinder, automatic or manuel, etc. So on the way back from the dentist I drive in and park. One of the the salesmen is standing at the door talking to another person. Now I know he saw me. But do you think he bothered to come where I was. Nope. The other person left and the salesman disappeared! Lowly woman with three kids couldn't possibly be in the market for a sports car could she?! Grrrr! Wouldn't buy it from that dealership now if it were the last car of that type available. Seriously considering calling the dealership and telling them so.

Anyway, I'm am now soothing my ruffled feathers with Sonic's new Hot Fudge Brownie Blast. MMMmmmm! Chocolate!

Are you melty yet, Preacher, after running your route?

I didn't have to spend 6 hours out in it, only two, and I'm definately melted. I hope the air conditioning is working tonight at karate. The last few days I've been, it wasn't working well. I don't do well in the heat.

Good to hear BH is better. Will she be back in the Coffee House tonight or does she need another da--night recovery time?

Since it seems I'm the last one in the coffee house, I'm cleaning out the coffee pot and getting it ready for morning. Anyone comes in after make sure you clean up after yourself. I'll leave Mishka out back in case preacher don't get here with BH for guard duty. She'll lick any intruders to death. ;)

I'm exhausted after karate tonight, so I'm headed to bed.

Night all!

Morning all!

Well, good morning all:

Hope you all are having a great day so far. It's 82 degrees here. It was 85 at 3AM. It's going to be another scorcher here. We reached 100+ yesterday, with heat indexes in the 115-120 range. Today is supposed to be much the same. Please, remember to be in prayer for the homeless in the area here and in Nashville today as they will be in very very dire need of water, shade and other necessities.

I know I've not been here much of late. There's been a lot going on. But, Lord willing, after this Friday, most of that will be passed on the family front.

I came here looking for some blueberry donuts with glaze on them, and I see someone's eaten the last one...again! ;) Guess I'll just have a Sierra Mist and an oatmeal pie. :)

Make it a great day, everyone. You never know just how long you have and each moment is precious.

Morning all!

coffee & tea are on. Donut Holes are out :D

(((((((((sean)))))))))))

Tony -- you are awfully pink today! You are so right about enjoying today!

I'm knee deep in school work and having a hard time keeping my little duckies in a row.

I'm also working on a new purse (and no, mr. smarty pants Gib, it is not made of burlap!). I've got to get the closet doors back up in Brandon's room. It's a long story why they are down, but he and two friends are coming in from TX in August.

Catch you guys later. Have a wonderful day!

Good Morning Everyone!

MC, I took Chris closet doors down two years ago in order to paint them. Actually my FIL was supposed to paint them. Anywho, they are still in the garage, not quite finished. They were always hanging open anyway!

How you making that purse? I found a magazine with some cool quilted purses in it. I want to make one for this fall.

Gotta sew today. I should have any interuptions so hopefully I can get these baby things made. Gonna let the kids straighten through the house a little so things don't get too bad on that front. We've been doing pretty good here lately keeping things cleaner.

I'm planning to work solid once I get started so I may not be around much.

Tony, it was nice to see you this morning. You take care of that sunburn. ;) I know what you mean about the heat, it is hot, hot, hot, here as well.

Ya'll take care of yourselves today!

Good morning all,

Tony, it's good to hear you'll soon be joining us on a regular basis today.

After reading what all Cindi and Bisty are involved in, I feel like a slouch!

I have been doing good to just stay inside with air conditioning. I even have trouble breathing in here if I try to do too much.

This is for you Sean.

Hey Sue, maybe the correct thing to wonder is how long it's been since either Bitsy or I cooked a meal or really cleaned house(no, just ask Bitsy, cause I'm afraid I'd be to embarrassed to answer  ).

Where's Preacher this morning?

Good HOT morning everyone!!

Well, it's another HOT morning here! It was 84 degrees when Vivian left here this morning and is just now 82 degrees. It got to 102 here yesterday and heat indexes of above 115. There were a dozen or so people in Rutherford County who passed out and were hospitalized because of the heat. There were 20 or so in Bedford County. The heat is supposed to be just as bad today with a POSSIBLE cooling trend into the lower to mid 90's by this weekend.

I had been posting a lot on the Fundamentalist Forums, also owned by Brother Andrew, but, I found that they had become quiet cumbersome in their arguments and bickering, and that I was being sucked back into that type of "Christianity". I signed off officially day before yesterday, and yesterday finished out my "PM" box. I might scan from time to time for subjects of interest, but, I won't be posting there again. I have once again come to the conclusion that a moderated forum is the best way to go...it keeps the discussion civil, and though at times some moderators can be overly heavy handed, this can be remedied by a PM or email to the Webmaster. Or, one can just take the higher ground and stop posting on all forums altogether. Since the attitude on the BB is somewhat more "Christian" than the FFF, though owned by the same individual, I will most likely be posting here, but probably only in the Coffee House and the "Other Discussion" threads.

Please, if you all remember to do so, pray for my little sister, Becky. She's got to go back to Georgia today and tomorrow to have the hearing on whether or not her ex-husband gets custody of the girls. The three oldest have signed affidavits that they want to live with their mother. But, the other two are still young enough to be manipulated by their fathers misuse of Scriptures and bad-mouthing of their mother. We believe the judge saw through his little act (they caught him in two or three lies in court two weeks ago) and will be happy if these girls are also with their mother who has a far greater capacity to provide for them. Please, also pray for my ex-BIL that they Lord will get ahold of his heart and bring the blinders off his eyes, and the hatred from his heart. These things are literally eating him up and hurting him more, and nobody in our family wants to see him go beyond being reached.

Anyhow, I'm glad to be able to be posting here again. I missed y'all.

As you go throughout the day, remember to be good, be kind, be careful. :type:

Good morning all,

Glad to have you back, Tony. The FFF is too 'rough' for THIS poster! The BB and it's moderators used to get 'bashed' on a regular basis there. I haven't visited for over a year and don't plan to go back at all.

It is somewhat cooler here, but the humidity is still 94%. The county fair started Tuesday and we would like to be able to take Brent, but I sure hate to take my oxygen tank out there and I know I won't feel 'safe' without it (plus it's doctor's orders that I keep it close at hand). I guess I'll have to break down and get a small tank that I can carry. The one I have now has to be wheeled (very obvious). We're aiming for 2/3 hours out there tomorrow evening. We shall see...

I have to see the cardiologist at the end of this month. He will then decide if I need a heart catherization or simply stay on this medicine regime. Most doctor's don't believe in miracles. I'm sure glad I do!

Warm homemade donuts rolled in cinnamon and sugar are on the counter. The coffee is hot and the tea is brewing.

HAGD!

Where's the coffee? I had the hardest time getting up this a.m. !

Sue! The cinnamon sugar! What a wonderful smell.

I'm gonna just sit in a booth until the coffee clears my head :tongue3:
