Good Morning Everybody,
Sue: Can't keep a good Woman down huh? It's great that you're feeling better[itchy nose and all], just don't overdo it; you did have a surgical procedure It's a little more serious then a "boo-boo" that you can heal with a kiss and a band-aid. Yes, your lesion was malignant, but it is gone and you are Cancer Free. I'd say take a bow, but that's not the best thing for you to do right now. How about if We give you a bow instead?
Cindi: Praying for Chris, and for you. Migranes not only affect the sufferer's world, it can rock yours too.
I brought in Egg & Sausage Breakfast Strudel, and Sausage Apple Quiche for breakfast. Enjoy.
I took my grandson Jack (6) to the doctor yesterday. he had a severe sore throat, and I suspected Strep-Throat. I was right, so he's home from school today. Our doctor is out of town for a few days, so he has another doc covering for him. There was no problem getting an appt. to get him in. I told the nurse what the problem was, and that I wondered if he might have Strep-Throat. She wrote the info. down, and soon the doctor came in. I noticed that he was kind of brusque, and coldly-clinical but I've seen that before, and it's no problem. This doc treated Jack with all the compassion and concern you would show to a piece of trash. I could feel myself doing a slow-burn, but kept quiet. He did a swab, and the results came back + for Strep. He wrote a Rx, then turned and asked me in a snotty tone "Anything Else?". Jack had to go to the bathroom, so I told him to go and then wait outside the door, I had some questions for the doc. Jack went out, and shut the door, I walked to the door, then turned around to face the doc and asked him what was the reason for acting like a jerk in front of a patient? He told me he didn't appreciate parents making medical diagnoses, that was his job. I blew up. So that's the reason to treat a sick 6 yr. old like a dog? Does that make you feel like a real "professional" to play mind games with a sick kid? I told him that I had a real treat for him, I'm 54 and have my Masters Degree in Psychology, I asked the doc if he wanted to play "mind games" with me? I told him if he did I'd turn his mind into a pretzel. The doc demanded to know who my superior was. I told him that I didn't have one, I wasn't sure if I even have an equal. I left.
I know it was a very poor witness, but I am not going to have my Grandson treated like a dog when he needs help, and compassion. I'll let my regular doc know what kind of help his buddy provided. For all the good his treatment was he might as well have given Jack a piece of gum, and called it a day. If I have to go to his buddy again, I'll go to ER and wait 4 hrs. instead. End of rant.
