For a minute I thought Bro. Jim was referring to Lady Sue.... Even though I know he is a gentleman and he would not say anything bad about another person. It happens you know, when the English is your second language. :)

Our hearty condolences to you and your family MargoWriter in passing of your Grandfather. May the good Lord comfort the family as only He can! :flower:

Hello Brother Barnabas. Perhaps I should have said, Sue happy! Yes, that would do it. One can detect the Chinese dialect in that even though I can't speak a word of Chinese.

At any rate, always good to see you. By the way, the two photos are not my fault. I removed the youngster and put a current photo in place, but lo...someone refused to let the younger one go.......It is rather neat having the before and after though, isn't it?

    Cheers,

    Jim

I knew what you meant, Jim. I was just teasing you.

    Good morning all,

It is a crisp 41º right now, but will be sunny and 77º by this afternoon. I am refusing to turn the furnace on at night as long as it's getting this warm during the daytime. I DO have a small heater, that we use when we take showers, to keep the bathroom toasty warm.

Speaking of which, I'd better go turn it on so I can take my shower for church before everyone else gets up! With four of us living here now, the bathroom is a busy place on Sunday morning...

    HAGD!

Margo-You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

    Good Morning Everybody,

I'm tired, I cooked half a day yesterday. After the early service this morning I saw the Women's Ministry President and she said everything went great with the conference. She said that the luncheon was very well attended, and everybody seemed to enjoy the food. She "scolded" me for hurriedly bringing in the extra appetizer[then she asked for the recipe]. Everybody got full. Nobody got sick, and nobody sued. All-in-all I guess I did what they wanted.

Today is going to be a lazy day, we're going to watch football, and the Nascar race. I made Eggs Benedict for breakfast(yes- I brought it in to the Coffeehouse too), so I can take it easy for the day.

We'll have Philly Beef Squares for lunch( at halftime), and Crunchy-Crust Southwestern Cubes Steaks, Warm Wheat Berry-Pilaf, and Chocolate-Cherry Crisp for dinner. Yes- I will make enough of lunch and dinner to drop off at the coffeehouse for those who want to snack.

I've got to get my food prep done so I can enjoy the day.

    Good evening all,

    Margo,

You and yours are in my prayers.:praying:

    Hi Friend of God,

I really like your quote from William Booth. I enjoyed his biography. Great Christian. Great Organization.

56 here this morning. Hi in the 70s. Wonderful day! Possibly rain Monday and Tuesday! We are desparate for rain. We've been in drought conditions for a year.

    See ya in the morning!

Well good morning! It's 3am and time to head back to bed. I simply can't quit sleeping! Took a nap this morning, took a nap in the evening, and went back to bed at 6:45pm. Woke up and had to eat something, figured I'd stay awake and study because I have a test today and I haven't even opened the book yet, but I'm about ready to fall back into bed. At least the test is during my first class of the morning. I can wake up for THAT long I think!

You guys have a good day. Someone send that FoG dude to my place to do some COOKING! I think I gain more weight just reading his posts! (when they're not shriveled to .5 font anyhow!)

    Good morning all,

Fair skies and 46º here this morning with an expected high of 76º and plenty of sunshine this afternoon. We're supposed to get rain the next three days and probably our first hard frost (30º) Thursday night.

I have some sorting and tossing to do in the basement today. The dumpster out back is already full and the trash man doesn't come until Thursday morning... I already had them take one extra load and had to pay for it so now I'm trying to keep it down to one load a week.

    Time for coffee,

That sounds like a plan! I thought maybe I'd wake up again early enough to open that book and didn't, so I'll listen to a cd of the vocab on the way in. (it's Spanish...wanted French but it didn't fit in me schedule!)
I really gotta get up and moving now, it's almost seven and I want to leave at 7:15. Ok I don't WANT to...My daughter woke me up five minutes ago. I'm not sure why she had that timing? LOL I won't even ask.

    Hey Y'all!!!
    (For you Yankees, that's "Hi".:wavey:  )

We got home Firday evening. Flew in to Jacksonville Thursday, got a room and took our time coming home.

Had a good time in Vegas Baby! M-I-L was very surprised!! (This surprise birthday party had been in the works since January.)
We were the last ones to arrive, so to keep the suprise going, they lied and told their Mom that we weren't coming.

Was supposed to have another one of those evil Faslodex shots today, but decided not to do it.

Hey guys - I'm back from the boat show.

I'll let that 'bodies' comment pass (since I'm DEAD tired). LOL!

We had a great time away. DH and I drove to Baltimore, MD on Saturday morning, checked into the hotel around 2 and then went to the Inner Harbor. it was nice but rainy. Had a great dinner at Houlihans (they had an awesome Tuscan salad - mixed greens, rosemary white beans, herbed goat cheese and balsalmic vinaigrette - YUM) and then I was asleep by 8 - it was wonderful! Poor DH watched the ball games - we're NYers and the Yankees were such a disappointment in the post season. Oh well.

Sunday was a beautiful day and we went off to the sailboat show. What was nice was that the only boats we liked better than ours were huge multi-million dollar boats. None of the others were as good for our family. It's nice to find that out! We were able to speak to a few manufacturers of things on our boat that are not working well anymore (namely our hatches that leak and the boat isn't even 10 years old yet) and it sounds like they may do well by us. I certainly hope so!

So we got back at 1AM this morning, woke up and decided to do the youth group outing to a corn maze with the kids. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time - fresh roasted corn, venison (the guy who owns the maze sold us a bunch of Bambi that he's allowed to shoot on his property when they come in to eat the corn - he's loaded with it!), salad, chips, etc. It was a great day. I came home with fresh green beans (the little ones are demolishing them now raw), acorn squash (found a recipe for Maple Chicken and Squash so I thought I'd get some squash fresh) and some great looking lettuce. I'll be cooking that tomorrow since we're shot tonight and it will pretty much be FFY (fend for yourself) or CORD (clean out the refrigerator dinner). ;)

Annsni, everytime you post I end up sitting here singing "Ananci he is a spider, Ananci he is a man, Ananci he is a clever one..!"

I finally noticed you're not a man though, so the song doesn't quite apply.
Thanks though, for making me sit here and try to remember the words every single time I see your name!

Gina - No problem!! Anytime I can make someone laugh is good. LOL!! My username is my first name - Ann and the first 3 letters of my last name. When I first started on bulletin boards, I was SO uncreative and went with their suggestions - and have been using that for over 6 years now. I HAVE come up with another name but didn't want to use it here because I was kind of checking up on someone who posted here a while back who was not too happy with me and I didn't want it to be THAT clear that I followed her. LOL!!

    Good morning all,

Just checking in briefly before I drive to Springfield and have my stitches taken out. We have to stop by "Fish Man" pet shop while we're there to exchange a fish we bought last week (he has been in a baggie in the freezer since his demise).

Then the telephone repairman is coming to charge me a bunch of money to figure out why I can't receive calls. I'm sure it's the inside wiring because I hooked the phone up to the outside box and it worked - and I don't have their maintenance plan so...it's $62.00 when they walk in the door plus whatever work they do.

    Busy, busy day today!

Y'all have a good one and I'll check in when I get back.

    Good Morning Everyone.

Big weather system headed our way so it is a migraine day here. :( I sure wish we could find something to stop these things. Chris says maybe he should be a weather man when he grows up since he has a built in front predictor.

I'm going to sit around for a while today and vegetate. Then I'll decide whether or not to attempt karate. The instructor about killed me last night so I'm not sure I can handle another class today. Since my meeting with Cass' school went well yesterday I don't even have any agressions to work off.

Either way, I have sewing to do. A jacket and skirt for Cass plus halloween costumes for the girls. As I think about it, a relaxing day at the sewing machine is looking much better than karate. Hmmmm......

    Ya'll have a good day!

    Afternoon Everybody,

Sue: That is fantastic news about you having your stitches out. Plus you don't have to cook tonight either. Don't let it go to your head though.

We've been running around all morning with Doctor's Appts, shopping, and other errands. Time for lunch, and we're having Smothered Chicken Sandwiches, and Tomato Basil Salad.

I made extra, and brought it in to the Coffeehouse. Enjoy.

What are your plans for Sweetest Day(this Sunday)?

    Time to finish my chores.

MK, I remember those weather patterns all too well! I'm so glad I don't get migraines as often as I used to! It wasn't fun to KNOW that if a storm came, it would be a migraine regardless of what you did!

The weather here has been great this week. Nice and cool in the mornings, warm afternoons and evenings, cool nights. I keep thinking it's gonna rain, but it doesn't.

    PS

Preacher, you ok? I TOTALLY slammed you on another thread and you didn't slam me back? Frankly? I'm worried. This is most unlike the preacher I've come to know and tease incessantly. Did BH bite ya? Sam?
Ok I should do some schoolwork here in a minute, but tell the short one hi from me and give her this: :flower: (for puttin' up with ya) :tongue3:
