Nothing quite like a cup of coffee and a donut to get things going in the AM.

    Good morning every one.:wavey:

We get much more rain, I am going to grab my broom and inflate the air mattress. The Mississippi needs another Tom Finn or Huck Sawyer.

[IMG] That's funny, SFIC. Here in northeast Louisiana ... we have a severe weather outbreak coming tonight into tomorrow morning. The rain is supposed to affect the rivers... uh-oh. I think I might be running for "higher ground," lol.

Well good morning, Linda! So nice to see you! I love rain, but not too much. I like the ground to get wet maybe once a week... that's it. However, I love storms. Oh how I love storms on a school morning. We get the chance of getting out, lol.

Rain?? Oh - we had some of that the other day. But today is bright and sunny - a little cool at 47 degrees but it's not too bad.

Thanks for the coffee - it's delicious and just what I need this morning! I've been waking up tired for some reason - I think I just need to get to bed early one of these days. LOL

As usual, it's the same old same old here. My life is boring but it doesn't seem like it to live it! LOL But atleast I get to go riding today in the sunshine and begin to break in my new riding boots! It was time - I haven't bought new boots in over 20 years. Paying the bill, I understand why - these things are EXPENSIVE!! But hopefully these will last me many, many years. :)

    Good Morning Everybody,

*SNIFF* *SNIFF* What's that smell? It smells like coffee, but a different kind of coffee.
I'm looking outside the window of the coffeehouse right now but I can't tell exactly where Mississippi is from here. Not really sure where the BB is located in relationship to a particular state or country. For all I know the BB might be located in Mississippi.

Greetings Shane, SFIC, Palatka51, and Linda! Long time no see for all of you. :wavey:

Got back from the water park yesterday. Everybody had a blast. The Gkids are already asking when we can go again.

One of our Daughter's favorite teachers died while we were out of town. Evidently one of her family walked in and found her laying on the floor. So we'll have a funeral to go to on Saturday. I called the family to express my sympathy and offer to take dinner in to them tonight and tomorrow night.

Since Shane brought in the coffee how about if I bring in Steak and Eggs, Hash Browns, Sausage Gravy and Biscuits. Enjoy.

You made a pair of riding boots last for 20 years Ann? WOW!! Come to think of it I might have some shoes and ties that are that old.

It's 10:35am do you know where your Cuz is? I think mine is probably hiding behind a sewing machine, turning out fabulous gowns and other seamstress magic. Don't tell me she can't do magic - she admitted to riding around her house on a broom last week didn't she?

I've got to take my suit to the dry cleaners, and get some supplies for two dinners tonight.. I'm thinking of Honey-Spice Rubbed Pork Tenderloin, Garlicky Mashed Potatoes, Creamy Baked Asparagus, and Chocolate-Mint Grasshopper Pie for dessert.

I'd partake of your coffee Shane, but; my stomach and coffee are mortal enemies. Funny, I can drink [diet] cola all day with no problem, but just mention coffee and my stomach sizzles like a hot griddle. Your Bayou-Blend sure sounds good though.

Oh my what a busy coffee house! :)

    Good morning everyone!

Hey Cuz! Glad you had a good time! Sorry to hear you came back to bad news.

I have not been to the sewing machine this morning and the broom is safely hidden away in it's corner for the moment. :D I've been helping several companies make payroll this morning as it was time to pay the monthly bills. PTL there was enough money to spread around to all of them. Just doing my part to stimulate the economy!

Now the rest of the day will be spent sewing and homeschooling. Chris is being a sleepy head this morning and hasn't gotten up yet. He really, really likes homeschooling! I'm sure I'll hear him stirring in a few minutes. He seems to have some sort of 6th sense that wakes him just about the time I start to post on the BB. Guess he gets that from his magical mother.

I'm gonna go see what all is going on here and then get to workin'.

    Ya'll have a good day!

    Good Afternoon Everybody,

    * Whew * What a day! A funeral this morning then Brenda and I and another couple took all our accumulated kids, Gkids, etc [8 in all] bowling then out for pizza.

Funny thing though, the Funeral Director that had the service today worked with me for 18 years. We were reminiscing in the church narthex before the service. Boy did that bring back memories to think I helped teach that kid everything he knows about being a Funeral Director.

Thankfully not much else going on tonight. Brenda and the Gkids are stuffed with pizza so I won't have to cook any tonight.

I noticed my dear Cuz was commenting on Karate on another thread. I just want her to know that I know Karate, Ju-Jitsu, Tae Kwon Do, and three other Japanese words. So there. :tongue3:

I'm going to relax in my recliner, do my daily Bible study, then try to unwind.

I HEARD THAT!! Somebody muttered "He's not wrapped too tight anyway." Better that then the mummy who went to pieces over nothing when Cleopatra barged in; he was a splendid young chap named Rameses Andrew the IV. He had a dream of something called a message board for Baptists [yes, we were around even back then], I think they were the originator of the term Primitive Baptists.

Notice to the Administrator holding the frying pan in a threatening manner: This is not a double post. 48 hours have elapsed between the posts. :saint:

    Good Afternoon Everybody,

Boy, this place is quiet when it's empty.

Just got back from running errands in town and decided to take a few minutes to relax.

I think Spring has finally arrived in Michigan, it is 50 degrees and sunny right now, headed for a forcasted high of 60 today.

Too late to bring in breakfast, so how about I bring in what we're having for dinner tonight? Whole Oven-Barbequed Chicken, Roasted Red Potatoes with Bacon and Cheese, Crunchy Asian Broccoli Coleslaw, and Double-Chocolate Strawberry Shortcake for dessert.

My break time is up, time to get back to work.

4 out of 3 people have trouble with fractions.

Hey everyone! Who's been here? Rob, I see but anyone else??

Well, I took my daughter to another portfolio review yesterday for another college. She doesn't want to go here but we can possibly play the scholarship game - see what they offer us and if it's more than the other school that she wants to go to, we go back to the first school with the greater amount and say "Can you match it?" So we did the portfolio review yesterday and we were told we'd hear in a week to 10 days. They called at noon today that they want to interview her!!! So I set it up for Thursday afternoon. The head of the department was beyond impressed with her - even saying that her work is gallery quality, people will pay for what she's already done in high school and that she's already 'got' it. He then went to 2 of the other sub department heads and I saw him whispering and pointing to Lauren's work. SOOO, I have a good feeling about this but if you guys can pray that she gets a great offer, I'd appreciate it. $24,000 is not an easy amount for us each year (it's an impossible amount) so a full scholarship is our goal. The other school offered her $8,000 but she also told them that she wasn't looking at any other schools so there was no incentive to give her a good number, you know??

Other than that, things are quiet finally. We had a great parenting seminar this weekend so I was way busy. Glad it's all over!

It's SAT-10 week for Chris, so ya'll won't see much of me. We have just gotten home from the first day. This sort of long day is what comes from having the closest homeschool association that met our needs being an hours drive away.

Ya'll be good, maybe Thursday I'll get to come back!

    Good Morning Everybody,

Ahh yes, Cuz I remember the SAT days. Tell Chris [and Mom] not to worry, you've heard of Terry Bradshaw, guess what he got on his SATs?... a coffee ring!

It is a blustery 40 degrees outside and guess what is forecast for Saturday and Sunday?, that's right snow flurries. Don't worry Ann and Cuz I'll pm them to you so you can enjoy their natural beauty [see, I can get sarcastic in the morning.]

I brought in Waffles, Eggs, Bacon, and Sausage Gravy and Biscuits. Enjoy.

Doctor's appointments, pharmacy and grocery shopping today.

It's not hard to meet expenses...they're everywhere!

Wow - snow?? We're actually supposed to get to 60 today and possibly 65 tomorrow! Amazing! Spring really DOES exist!

Not much going on today. Just chores, homeschooling and then church tonight. I'm making my family's favorite dinner tonight - quesadillas and I'll serve it with quacamole, sour cream, salsa and salad. YUM!!

Catch y'all tomorrow! I left fresh blueberry muffins on the counter. Enjoy!

    Good morning all,

I have been on the couch the last few days and am heading there again now. Don't know what I have, but it isn't pleasant!

I have busy months coming up in May and June so I'd better GET WELL!!!

I am driving to Fort Leonard Wood, MO for my oldest grandson's graduation from 'boot training' in the Army (May 2nd). He will be a PFC...hey, ya gotta start someplace. :)

The next day, my youngest daughter is getting married (May 3rd) about a two hour drive from the Fort in MO.

May 9th, my pastor's youngest daughter will be getting married and Pastor Bob and his wife will be in IL to sing for that.

The next week, I will be making my yearly trip to WI to see my son, Vern, and stay overnight. I will visit him for 4 hours on Friday night and again on Saturday morning before I come home. No, with all the phone calls and letter writing back and forth, we still never run out of things to talk about on those visits!

Then in June, I will be hosting a wedding reception, at the park, up here for Shawna's Lincoln friends and her husband's family.

I also have 3 birthdays in May and 2 birthdays in June plus, Pastor Bob's 25th wedding anniversary when they will be renewing their vows. He will also preach that evening.

On top of all that, the lawn needs reseeded and flowers planted. My 'crew' trampled them all down when they put up the siding last year and since I was busy painting inside, the lawn was sadly neglected.

Please pray that I won't let stress get to me and keep me sick. I've got too much to do!

    HAGD!

Good Grief Sue, did you get bit by the hyper bug?

Oh well, at least this year it's all fun stuff! :)

Cuuuuzzzz, you gotta get out that snow blower and blow that nasty white stuff back up to Canada! We are half way through pollen season here and if I don't get the weeds mowed soon they'll be up to my knees! Oh, and I got sunburned today sitting outside on the school playground for an hour WITH SUNSCREEN!!!

We are finally through with the SAT's. Chris got Dr. Pepper on his soooo, we'll see!

The sewing and cleaning has stacked up in the meantime though so ya'll won't see much of me until probably Monday. Have a good weekend!
