Hi Diane:

The light has only been on for a week. I wouldn't care about the gas mileage if I could just get there.

Dale drives a truck that is in MUCH worse shape than my car! I doubt if he can get off work at this late date, but what worries me is driving that far and back by myself in this kind of weather on bad roads.

I am getting too old for these turn-around trips, plus the emotional drain that goes with it. If I go, I will be visiting my son, Vern, also.

It's to be 18° here tonight with wind gusts of 28mph. I always am concerned when it's like this because so many live in mobile homes with electric heaters for warmth and every year many children and elderly die in fires during the winter. Since Christmas we've had a 3, 4 and 5 year old die in home fires in the Atlanta area. Not far from here, a mother and 3 of her children died. The oldest, aged 7, got out. The mother's night gown had caught fire while she was cooking breakfast and the trailer quickly was gone.

Sue, Barnabas is right and you must listen to the Lord and NOT allow guilt to mask God's voice. If Shawna needs you for long term help, you'll find a way there. We just need to keep praying that only little is needed to be done and that she is forever healed from this torture!

Well I don't weigh much but I carry a lot of weight through Christ Jesus my Lord!

My over 8,800 posts, divided by the number of days I've been a member comes out to 24 posts a day. I've never taken any time off so that's about right. Plus, I read the board from early 2002 waiting to decide if I wanted to join. A friend and her husband had joined in March of that year also after reading for awhile. I waited almost another YEAR! You guys can be scary!

Hi Diane!! Gwyneth's mom has been ill so she has been spending a lot of time taking care of her. I think Sheila started back to university this week, so I'm sure she is quite busy!

In the Christmas swap, Gwyneth had my name and I had Sheila's, so we got to know each other a little better, and we are keeping up via email!! It's really been fun making new friends across the ocean!!

I started back to work this week, so my BB time is now back to normal...limited!! I see Dan is really into multiple-posting and I would guess it's to get his post count up. I, on the other hand, like to post when I have something to say!!! However, I noticed I am pushing 1000 posts...can't believe it!!

But I won't succumb to multiple posting just to get to 1000 posts!!!

VERY cold here...was 22º this morning and only got to about 35º today. Brrrrrrrrr...... Will be in the low 20's tonight but up to mid-40's tomorrow. No snow, sleet or rain, so that is good...just cold! I actually can wear some sweaters I have that I can't wear when it it so warm!!

Hey C.J., thanks for letting me know! I was concerned and will pray for both their needs. I was watching a news program on Princess Diana's inquest and couldn't help but wonder if the lady sounded like our friends!

It's cold here too! Down to 17° tonight but the wind chill will be single digits! Great for killing the bugs tho! Speaking of sweaters... I was telling Sue that I've got a very itchy heat rash this week! I think I dress for winter and then it gets so warm.... and with dry skin anyhow... itchy, itchy, itchy! It's mostly my back where I sit against the chair. I think God is telling me I sit too much. LOL

Thanks again. I was worried about them! I did not remember reading about Gwyneth's mom until you mentioned it. I knew Sheila was back at school and had asked about her courses of study this term but then didn't check in to see if she'd answered and I missed her reply. It's hard when our time zones are off by so many hours! By time I'm up and got my housework done and have Nick at his studies... those ladies are thinking about cooking supper!

Hey CJ!

VERY cold here...was 22º this morning

It was 3º when I went to work this morning! You were having a heat wave!

I thought maybe Sheila's computer was down. I sent her an email last night, with some pictures of my mouse collection, and didn't get a reply. That's not like her at all.

I know Gwyneth has been busy with her mom (among other things). She hasn't posted very often the past couple of months.

Well, 3:30 comes real early in the morning, so I will bid you all a good night.

I can't sleep till 9 a.m., however, I CAN sleep till about 7:00!! (Did it when I was off!) When I'm working, I get up at 5:00 a.m., have my quiet time, and am at work by 7:30! Still working a 4-day week, so get to "sleep in" on Friday and Saturday..."sleep in" meaning 7:00!! Now, getting up at 3:30 a.m. is a little extreme, IMHO...seems a little pointless to even go to bed if you're going to get up THAT early!!!

BTW... my youngest birth child, Jon, turns 27 tomorrow! That was 22 hours of back labor and natural child birth! I don't 'do drug's'. All 3 were natural and then Nick was also natural. MY gyno was Erin's gyno and since I was paying the bill, he followed MY instructions and let her SUFFER! LOL
