    Good evening all!

Great news Doc - now we can expect many more years of your harassment here on BB!

Took my computer back to COMP USA today. All that's wrong with the machine is that the sleeve that hold the on/off switch in place - has a plastic retainer - smaller around than a pencil lead - and maybe 1/4" long break off. The new part includes a plug, a switch, and two lights. Cost $120 - on June 15, 2004 - I paid 149.99 for a three year service contract - so I'm just getting part of my money back. They will UPS me the part when it comes in - I should have no problem replacing it.

Here's the kicker - the tech said that normally he wouldn't be able to get just the switch. Usually he would have to get the whole case. But must be lots of people were having the same problem - cause they list the switch as a part that is available. But with my machine - there is no part number for the case. So if they didn't have the switch - and as they don't have the case - they would have had to give me a new computer. Now that wouldn't have been such a bad thing!

Well - I'm glad the computer still works - I would be lost without it.

    Morning all.

Had a pain in the neck (no, not Mary [IMG] ) so had to get up early this morning.

Its cool enough here for hot beverages this morning, and cold drinks are in the fridge.

We're trying to share the cool air (its 41F and dropping hard). But we have serious warm up on the way, so this is our last blast.

    Arctic blast.

(And we won't mention to Mary what you think about her today . . [IMG] )

    Good morning all:

Dr.B.: That is GREAT news! PTL!

We are getting your cool air. It's supposed to be 50º tonight. Thanks for sharing!

Busy day yesterday with Brent. We had lots of fun things planned to do and we did all of them (including a 125 mile round trip)...

Hubby had to order some kind of 'kit' for his truck yesterday and it won't be in until later this morning, so we all just relaxed last evening (all that gardening wore us out!).

Preacher stopped by last night and is ready for one of my pecan pies. I never could say 'no' to him. LOL

    Off to check other forums,

    It's raining again today.

My head deacon and his wife - along with his brother and his wife (or I could say - my head deacons wife and her husband - along with her sister and her husband) are each celebrating their 50th wedding anniversaries today - looks like in the rain.

Confused - my head deacon says - "My older brother married my wife's younger sister!" [IMG]

    Morning Dan and Ed:

Hopefully, Grandpa will get his truck fixed early this morning. Then we are taking Brent fishing at the Sportmans Club. $50.00 dues a year and NO FISHING LICENSE REQUIRED.

    Can't hardly beat that!

My 'boys' are hungry, so I'd best go fry up some sausage and pancakes (request for today)!

I have my "Deep Woods Off", I will pack lunches for us, and we have Grandpa who will take the fish OFF the hook, and Grandson who will put worms ON the hook...what more could I ask for? [IMG]

I will be back sometime later today or early evening...depending on how the fish are biting.

    Have a great Saturday everyone!

Enjoy your day fishin Sue, and thanks to all for the kindness shown. I am still reeling from the good news. Did not know how burdened down I was in the spirit over impending doom.

How gracious God is in NOT giving us even a glimpse into the future in this life. Why pray when you can worry?

BOY HOWDY and it's a beautiful shabbat morn here. Partly cloudy, 46F and climbing to 66F. My son GrifDog (Josh) and his family should be arriving about time for food and we are so looking forward to hugging Christian and Austin.

Still busy with the "clean up" of my stuff and looks like 4-5 more trips to the garbage. And a quick vacuum. Wife doesn't go into the clinic until afternoon and we're hoping the kids come before then.

Will only stay a minute. Wife is nagging, er encouraging me to get off the 'net and get busy.

    Morning All,

We are going to hit 106 today, how we long for rain! Got called to the church at 1:30 in the am because someone was spinning circles in the lot and ran over water faucet, produced the closest thing to rain we have seen in months.

Dad seems to be doing better each day. I am heading off to the hospital they will be placing a feeding tube in his stomach at noon today. Thank you all for prayers, they have really made a difference.

Have a great day in Jesus one and all.

    Bro Tony

Just in for a cool down, potty break and quick lunch and then we have to hurry back out. My fingers are vibrating and my left knee ACHES from the clutch. I did the driving this morning. We had all old trailers down LONG drives and are heading back out to do a new subdivision with steep front porches. We'll all do those to try and get it finished more quickly. I still cannot believe it is possible to get this done by Tuesday. WAY too many homes spread too far apart! BUT.... we need the money and praise God for all his blessings, even the painful ones!

Amen Diane! Have been praying for you and rejoice how the Lord is making provision for you.

Maybe we need to pray for some cool weather now [IMG] ?

Cool air made it to the Ohio Valley, but all the pressure in the South looks like will hold it off. Ugh.

Hate heat. REALLY hate humidity. Cannot imagine voluntarilly living in places like that!

Diane, I used to do something similar. One word of warning is to check out what happens at tax time. It's not considered being employed by a company if you're doing what I used to do, and I lost about 40% of what I made to taxes I had to pay on the income at tax time.

Hi Gina, since we only made $11,000 TOTAL last year and have made almost zero this year, I think I don't have to worry bout taxes. LOL. Bellsouth will take out taxes and S/S from my check. I had to give them the info. This was a very bad decision on my part. I never guessed it would be such horrible work. My left knee is in such pain. I've got it wrapped in an ace bandage part of the time but it sounds like velcro pulling apart when I go up or down stairs. OUCH.

We still have SO much to do! It's still 92° at almost 5:00 p.m. so we came home for supper and some cooling down but have GOT to go back out and will have to work all day Sunday plus as much as we can on Monday til it's all done. All for $200. I figure that means we'll have made $30. a day. [IMG]

    Hey Diane,
I sent you an e-mail several days ago. But sent it through BB and had no carbon copy. Did you happen to get it?

Well folks, no fish today. We had fun though.

That is until Brent and I both started coughing, sneezing, having trouble breathing, and got 'itchy' eyes. Brent rubbed his eyes so they were all swollen. The swelling is going down now that I make him keep his hands away from them.

I guess this wasn't a good time to go to the woods fishing! Brent didn't bring his inhaler down, so we are both using mine. The doctor said it would be all right (even though my prescription is stronger). He said the lungs will only absorb what they need of the medication...

We are going to use our wheezing bodies to watch TV and relax tonight so (hopefully) we will be able to go to church tomorrow.

Grandpa is taking Brent to the Video store to pick out some movies to watch and then will pick up supper so I don't have to cook for a change...

    Have a great evening!
    Cya tomorrow!

    Good evening All

The 50th anniversary celebration I told you of this morning - went well. It quit raining shortly after I got off BB - and it was sunny and cool.

Food - lots of it - chicken, pig roast, salads, rolls, chips, salt potatoes - it was good!

    Dan - time to sleep!
