    Good afternoon everyone:

It sounds like I'm not the ONLY one who's busy!

Jeff: The Splenda is right behind the Sweet 'n' Low... Glad you could make it by - come back anytime! :D

Tater: I hope you have a very nice visit with mom and Grandma and I'm SURE Grandma will love the doll (what a sweet idea)! [IMG]

Wendy: I fixed Cabbage Dump last night. If you have cabbage, you could use your hamburger for that. If not, just boil some macaroni and make 'goulash'! [IMG]

Barnabas: If your day is THAT busy, you should have taken THREE DPs! I am on my first DDP of the day (sounds like an insecticide doesn't it?). ;)

Debby: That sounds good! I used to make meatloaf 'mounds' that way and lay them on top of a bowl of packaged noodles (cooked of course), with gravy over everything. Yummm! [IMG]

We are having a reunion Sunday (my mother's side) and I was asked to bring salads. I fixed 4 LARGE salads today. Brent helped me cut everything up. I am also having 4 people from Kentucky for the day tomorrow - so I made enough for both days - plus sub sandwiches for tomorrow.

I made Macaroni salad (sweet), Kidney Bean salad, Weindorf [IMG] (Waldorf) salad, and Pink salad - that's what my kids named it years ago - (crushed pineapple-cottage cheese-wild raspberry jello-coolwhip).

I'm worn out and still have the paper route and the corner to do...

    TTFN!

Diane - You're really gonna have a house full for a few days, aren't ya? ;)

Wendy - I like the chili idea and the meatloaf ball idea. The Meatloaf balls could be frozen for later baking, couldn't they?

Everybody - Hurricane Frances is HUGE and headed this way! Please say a prayer for the folks in FL when you think about it.
We won't get near the force that Fla will, but we're definitely gonna get some. We're in south GA.
How about Gib, isn't he on the GA coast?

Well I was feeling pretty bad by noon so I called around and found a clinic for families who earn under the poverty level and was seen by their nurse practicioner. I had a double ear infection. I knew one ear was probably infected.... My blood pressure was through the roof (185/82) but went down some while I was there. It was back to normal by time I got home and calmed down (137/76). I'm on 875 mgs. of Amoxicillin twice a day. I'm expecting stomach aches. It always does it to me! She also gave me Alegra to take once a day and told me to avoid Benadryl with my b/p being unstable. I have to take it daily while calm and quiet and report back in a month or so to see if I need to go on meds.

Get this.... I mentioned I should probably lose a few pounds and she told me no. She said for my age, my weight and height match just fine. That made me feel good. I don't like how my face looks when I'm thin. Makes me look OLD!

I make individual meatloafs and smother them with a grape jam, chili sauce, worchestershire sauce, ketchup and mustard mixture. YUM!

    Evening folks:

Papers are delivered and supper is over. I have 3 days off from the 'corner', but have to get up in the wee hours of the morning ALL THREE DAYS to deliver papers! Grrrrrrr

I am signing off for tonight. I bought "The Passion of the Christ" on VHS and none of us have seen it. We are going to watch it before bed. I doubt I'll feel much like posting after watching it so I will wish y'all PLEASANT DREAMS!

    Cya in the morning,

Wow Sue, I hope you can go back to bed after delivering the papers on Sat. and Monday at least! I'll be sleeping in for a week. Ty won't be coming until 7:45 all next week.

I'm SO sleepy after not sleeping last night. I'd fallen asleep on the sofa until Jim got home. I have to take some more amoxicillin before bed. Oh I sure hope it doesn't mess up my stomach again! I'll head right to the store tomorrow to stock up on yogurt!

Sheila should be in North Carolina by now. I sure hope she and Rob have a wonderful time. Sheila's birthday is the 11th.

Well WE had Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes and Corn for dinner and everyone loved it. I've tucked away the Meatball recipe for later ;) Thank you!

Diane I've had some of those ear infections they are NOT pretty. But, the proopping up encorages drainage.

Barnabas It might be safe but, you never know they might decide to do a Dr Pepper intervention on you some day  ;) .

Sue I hope that you got some much needed and wonderful rest. I'll check in with you in the morning

P.S. I did 4 loads of laundry today only to find when I looked in the kitchen tonight 2 more waiting on me for tomorrow -whines-, Oh well.

    Sweet dreams all !

I will prop myself tonight Wendy. The doctor doesn't want me taking anymore Benadryl. I can take Sudaphed tho but think I'll skip it tonight. I took my second 875 mg of Amoxicillin with ice cream so I hope it doesn't give me stomach cramps. My tummy has been very sensitive since I took Clindamycin for an abscessed tooth 1 1/2 years ago. :(

I don't have ANY laundry for tomorrow other than what we take off tonight. [IMG] BUT... and I know I shouldn't start a sentence with a preposition / linking word... BUT... I've got lots of other housework that needs to be done!

Sunday is 'graduation Sunday but we know all the little ones since we've had them in Cubbies for several years. No surprises there. [IMG]

    TTYL in the morning.

I will lie down in peace and sleep for You alone, Oh Lord, will keep me safe!

I haven't laid back down yet as I have to wake Bobby up and there's no sense trying to sleep THEN!

By the time he showers, eats breakfast and leaves, hubby will be home from work and then our company will be arriving. (early bedtime tonight).

There is a birthday greeting for THREE people (on one card). Please take the time to wish these BB members well...

    Good Morning everyone!!

I'm counting down the installation of my Cable. It is very hard to get around on the internet with Dial-Up. I can hardly even work on my website. I've given up for the duration :-/. Stiffling my creativity. I don't know though, it's kind of a good thing because i've been reading more and spending time with my kids.

I've gotten 2 loads of laundry done this morning [IMG] i'm done for the day maybe. The kids and my dad will be having hot dogs for dinner, I'm going to make something else for David and I.

I do so worry about him. He's been told that he's going to have to stay where he is, for longer than he thought at work, and he's so down about it. He could sure use a few prayers of upliftment [IMG] .

Diane I hope you had a wonderful night!

Sue Early to bed, Early to rise makes a woman, healthy, wealthy and wise! (just a little encoragement -ducks the pillow she is gonna throw at me- hehe)

    Talk to you later

    Wendy

Wow.... I was asleep by 11:00 and Nick woke me at 10:00 a.m. saying 'Mom, Dad's not in bed with you!' Jim has to work straight through. In fact, the store expects him to work 6 days a week! He is going to have issues with that! His boss did tell him on Sunday's to just come straight from church. It's an hour drive so Jim thought he'd have to skip service or go to the early service.

My tummy already feels a little crampy from the amoxicillin but the doctor seems to think by taking large amounts 2 times a day that people have less stomach upset than taking smaller doses 4 times a day. Hope she's right! Whatever... I'll go get some yogurt today.

Whoa! I awoke at 11am. We are going to the beach today. Not getting in the water, but watching the surf. Seas are choppy and winds are elevated. It should be very exciting.

Gib, I'm expecting Frances to skirt the coast and slam into you. It's already causing major problems in West Palm Beach! 40,000 without power.. and that's before the storm!

BE SAFE! Do you have an escape plan or a generator for your personal air?

We are prepared to go if we have to. If it's only winds, we'll head to the church and sit it out. We may wake up and already be at church for church. I guess we could take a bath in the baptimal pool.

Hello. We are back and great grandma LOVED her baby doll. We had a wonderful visit and ate Thai food for her birthday supper. It was great.

We're keeping an eye on the storm, too, looks like we'll get alot of rain, but thats probably it. Praying for the folks in FLA!!!!
