It's the opposite here, Diane. My parents are coming but my brother is not. I was even willing to do separate events, since there is division between them. Brother said leave it be so....I've left it be. I'll still be here when he works out whatever problem he has going on. My side of the family is a good description of disfunctional and there is not a divorce among us!

T will take the kids out tomorrow and shop while I play Santa's elf and wrap presents. Hope I can find everything!

Diane your party sounds great. T's office(s) did a potluck lunch and then everyone went back to work. Family wasn't invited.

Ya'll pray for T, he is being considered for a position that would fund his entire salary. That would be a blessing as now his salary is funded by 3 different departments and he does different things for each one. Not having to split his attention between what is basically 3 jobs for one salary would take a lot of stress off him.

Cindi, Hubby says my mother could suck the happy out of a room full of clowns and he's right! Our Jon (28), on the other hand, is fun, helpful, upbeat, loving.... [IMG] His momma (me) raised HIM right!

Mother most probably won't come. She'll string me along until late tomorrow night and then back out for some silly reason. She spent last Christmas all alone.

Jim said Nick and I can get a cat we've seen at the animal shelter. I just pray they haven't put her to sleep already. If they're open in the morning, he's taking us to get her. Since we're low income, they'll pay for her spaying and updated shots.

I'm just checkin in to make sure i've not been forgotten about. Like that is possible. LOL

I've been working so many hours it's amazing to me how fast it's gone. It seems the last time I looked at a calander it was only November. I tell you though. I wouldn't change it.

I might be busy, but it's a good kind of busy. Where I had tiem to sit and think about what was wrong. Now, I only have time to think about what is right. And, what I really want to do.

At Christmas so many people leave the Christ out of it. Happy Xmas? -shakes my head- I don't think anything bothers me more than seeing that. If you can't recoginize that Christ is behind Christmas, skip the holiday and the bills. So it's easier to right . PIFT! I will gladly write out Chritmas over and over again to Pay respect to my SAVIOR .. -hops off soap box-

It's off to bed for me 5 am comes so early.

Diane that is a very wonderful tree. I don't think i've seen a tree that beautiful in a long time. Thank you for sharing.

You all have a wonderful night and I love you all

-hugs and hot choclate to everyone-!!

    Wendy

Diane, thanks for posting the pictures. There is a road I will occasionally turn down to look at a pond, and since we went to "Vella Reeca", Wesley asks if we're going to "Vella Reeca" see Miss Diane.
Today I turned and he asked "Is this Vella Reeca? Did Miss Diane decorate her house?"

He got to see your decorations. [IMG] [IMG]

Hey everybody! Its been a partying week here, too! We've partied with DH's family, the youth from church, ladies group from church, deacons/wives, church family, and today - my family. I have finally gotten the house back in working order since everyone left. We had a great time, delicious food, sweet fellowship, and another great memory.
So now I am sitting here sipping some peach/ginger tea. Just finished off the last of the taco dip (its really like a 9 layer salad) and a spoon of peanut butter.
I was thrilled to be able to give my bro his gift today. He served in Iraq for over a year, and by reading his letters, I realized how eloquent he is. I never knew he was such a good write, so I asked him if he'd like to write some lyrics, I'd set them to music. I didnt think he'd do it - he's a tough virile type, not "artsy" at all - but he did! I have only seen him once since he came home from IRaq and didnt have it ready then, so today I presented him "our" song typeset and framed as well as a recording of it as well. He had forgotten about it and was thrilled. Made one for Mom, too, who had no idea we had collaborated.
I am so proud of my brother, and to have been such a stinker growing up, I kinda like him now! [IMG]
Well, yall stay warm and enjoy the celebrations!

It's 3:07am, Dec 24th....Christmas Eve morning. It was strange to be in bed by 9pm last night since Viv was off yesterday and doesn't have to go back to work until Jan 3rd. But, we were both so worn out emotionally (still waiting for the appraisal to be finished up at the bank so we can have the utilities turned on at the house and get this move under way...but the snow and ice didn't help by downing power lines and computer servers) and physically from trying to get everything packed up.

The ice is still on the ground here, and many are still without power. I thank the Lord we haven't had a problem with power outages this time.

    Ya'll have a great Christmas. :)

    (Which characters Roger?)

    Good morning all:

Papers are finished until tomorrow morning. No one got frost bite. Temp is 5ºF with a -10ºF windchill. Expected high of 11ºF today...

Gonna grab a cup of decaf. I'm already awake, so I don't need the caffeine, but I need the warmth!

    Cruising,

I hope all my BB friends have a great holiday with their family and friends.

May Jesus Christ be preeminent in all that we do!

    Dan

PS - nice tree Diane, my wife would be jealous. She just has a three footer fake tree in the window. Anything more and the cats would ruin it. In fact we have had a big tree (would still be fake - as my lovely bride is allergic to the real ones) since the fire in 2002!

Good Morning Everyone! I slept late today and have a few things to do. Unwrapped presents arrived late yesterday from our oldest son and his wife so those need to be wrapped and I need to make a list for Jim of the things I haven't gotten for Christmas dinner. His work gave everyone a gift certificate but to a store a decent drive from our town. Then there's the usual cleaning and prepping.

    Diane
