Diane, sounds like you may have a bed partner there, too!
Say, I forgot to mention that we had a surprise added to our Christmas weekend! I thought something was up when the pastor was done preachin' at 12:05 instead of 12:30, and I could let the kids go early. After we were done cleaning up from the mess the kids and my daughter had made (another story), we were ready to walk out of the church when we noticed something was getting ready to start in the sanctuary! A wedding! Sort of the spur-of-the-moment type. They grabbed the pianist to stay, her husband (who always has his camera) was taking pictures, they put some pointsetias on the communion table, and about 25 people were gathered in the front. Pastor asked us if we'd stay. Who could say no to a wedding? Turns out it was a couple we had just met Christmas eve. Their families had been at odds for a long time, and the couple had just made a commitment to Christ, and the families had reconciled. And, since they had been living together for 10 years (imagine!), they decided that as new beleivers they should make things right. They went out last week and got a license and rings. The "bride" marched down one aisle, the "groom", the other. They were wearing just what they had worn to church that morning. But it was so beautiful! I was glad we were there to represent the church. Pastor was so thrilled to see it all work out, he was beaming. Such joy! Praise God for healing and reconciliation!! Isn't that a great story?
