COMMON GROUND COFFEE HOUSE #74

We hung drapes today and OREO climbed the 8-foot ladder and then couldn't get down!

He takes running and jumping spells like that too. He tears from Brent's bedroom, through the kitchen and family room, into the living room (that would be two-90º turns), jumps on one recliner and leaps from it to the other recliner (8-feet apart)! Crazy cat...

My body is tired but the Prednisone makes me SO hyper that my mind keeps going, no matter how tired my body is, and it is hard to sit still and relax. I did manage to get an hour's nap in today though.

I am sick and had three loads of laundry washed, dried, and put away. Baked two meatloafs, made mashed potatoes and a peach pound cake for supper - and this was all before 10:00 this morning!!!

There was a father, of a little boy that Brent has played with at the school, here looking for his son about three hours ago. His mother was just here 15 minutes ago. I would have called the police in by now.

Brent says the little boy is only about 7-8 years old!!! He hasn't seen him all week and had no clue as to where he could be. Brent is only allowed to play at the school and it is only 1/2 block down our alley. He doesn't go anyplace else, so he doesn't know where that little boy goes either.

The parents said they live about three blocks from us and the little boy hasn't been seen since this afternoon.

Pray that they find him and he is all right.

Goodness. Any news about the boy?

We had a good day today. The girls and I went out to eat, just us, then went on to a state park campground to watch the sunset. It was nice.

No news. I doubt they'll get back to me. I don't know them and Brent doesn't even know the little boys name.

Had I not been sick, I would have offered to help look for him. I'm sure the parents have been everyplace they think he might be though.

I don't know why they haven't called the police. With someone that young, you don't have to wait 24 hours to file a report...

I'm also wondering why it took them several hours to miss him?

Okay, I'm back from the camp meeting, and have a coupla minutes. Lots of good threads going, + a couple worthless ones on cats. :(

Well, no news about the little boy, so I am going to pray for him, and all the BB 'sicklies' (including me), and try and read myself to sleep.

Pleasant dreams all!

Good morning all:

It is around 36 degrees here this morning and the wind is around 5mph out of the NNW. It's a cool one!

I'm sitting here looking out over the fields, watching as the sun slowly starts to shed it's light.

Not much going on in TN. Our church is licensing a new preacher this morning, and we are having a special speaker and a fellowship after the morning service to mark the occasion.

Well, ya'll have a good day.

Good morning Tony and all:

It is 36º here this morning too.

I couldn't get to sleep until after midnight and got up at 4:30, having awakened at least three times during the night.

I am very tired, but the Prednisone just won't let me settle down enough to get much sleep and I've got nine more days to take it! :(

The doctor told me not to go around crowds, so I will be sitting at home this morning, hoping hubby will remember to bring me a cassette of this morning's sermon.

The doctor is not so much concerned about me being infectious (although I am ) as much as he is concerned about me 'catching' something from someone else.

Happy first day of

Will be praying for you, Sue. I know I have to go to the doc. Don't know if I've got bronchitis or pneumonia or both, but haven't been able to breath for two days now and hacking and coughing a lot. Hope I make it through SS, church service and the church fellowship afterwards. I know my temp is running right at 101, but I don't have any choice in this mornings attendance.

Ah, yes! The first day of Spring! :)

Happy Lord's Day to you all!

We had a lovely service this morning. They gave the children palm branches this morning before service to bring down during the children's message. It was so sweet to see them all bring them down and lay the branches on the altar, reminescent of the branches the crowds laid on the path Jesus took into Jerusalem.

I remember when I was a kid and everyone would recieve a palm branch as we went into church. For some reason I always loved Palm Sunday as much as Easter itself. Still do.

Anyone else's church celebrate Palm Sunday this way?

Our first day of spring is not very springy! It's cloudy and damp around here. Not really cold though, just a little cool.

Gonna, work on Bitsy's Easter dress today. Got the pattern cut out and decided on some of the details last night.

OK, everyone. SUNDAY AFTERNOON NAP...2:00-4:00

I'm starting a little early today because of the soothing raindrops hitting my windows. Perfect napping weather conditions!

Peace-

Just dropping by for a minute or two. Jim coughed so badly last night that I moved to the sofa in the t.v. room at 2:00. I got to sleep after 4 but my hip hurt so badly from trying to sleep on a hard sofa that I didn't sleep well at all.

Tony, please do go to the doctor. It sounds like you have what Jim has. Don't put it off too long! A lady in church told me several other church members have pneumonia. Jim's is double pneumonia. One member had double and one has walking, then there's Jim. :(

The children were SO good in Sunday School! One of the mothers helped and we made those lovely cards off a site Sheila had shared. They were so pretty! We sang a LOT of songs and learned about Palm Sunday. Jim stayed home but is trying to walk around to keep the fluids in his lungs moving. His head hurts from all the coughing. :(

Happy Palm Sunday and Happy Spring!

Wild Day. Snow flurries early, rain during church, then thunder/lightning this afternoon (cut power twice during NCAA game).

Finally got all grands for a nap. Wife too as she is shot.

I am in too much pain to sleep and too much to type much. Ugh. With the house topsy-turvey, I walk carefully . . but not carefully enough.

Smashed my foot last night, woke up with two broken toes and half the left foot swollen and purple. Will go to the doctor in the a.m. but nothing can be done.

My broken toes on the right foot (Mothers Day 2003) have never healed and it was thru this that they found my disease. No chance of these healing, either. Just lots more pain.

Enough whining . . :( . . God is STILL better to me than I deserve!

Oh, Dr. Bob! You poor thing!

I know how painful a broken toe feels! Not much you can do but tape it to the one next to it and I'm sure that would cause you even MORE pain.

Start keeping a flashlight next to your bed so you can see when you get up at night.

I will be praying for you - I know you're hurting.

Dr. Bob, I am very sorry about your broken toes. I know from experience that they are extremely painful. And I am sorry that your other toes never healed.

Even though we all believe, like you, that God is better to us than we deserve, pain is still pain. Pain is oblivious to our personal beliefs.

My mother, the optimistic eternal prom queen who always thinks of others before herself, is in constant back, neck and leg pain.

All I can ever do is pray for her and I will pray for you, too.

Peace-

YSIC

I've had a broken toe before but not with your condition which only multiplies your pain. Praying for you now.
