COMMON GROUND COFFEE HOUSE #74

Bob Krajcik

New Member
Stopping by for a donut and coffee.

I've got the radio tuned to Voice of Vietnam, and it's non-English now, but they have been playing enough Vietnamese music that it is pleasant to listen too. I don’t understand their language.

Those in Vietnam must not know that Pres. Reagan ended communism, because early this year, February I think, I was listening to Voice of Vietnam English language broadcast and they were celebrating 75 years of Vietnamese communism.

Hope all is well.

Great coffee and donut. Thanks.

Feel a little like Tom Sawyer. I'll show you my sore toe if you whitewash the fence . .

Big toe and second toe were damaged last summer and never healed. Almost lost the little piggy who stayed home but they didn't have to amputate.

Now the little piggy (and swollen surrounding area) is crying all the way home!!

Actually flying to SoCal to be at Saddleback for Easter and planning on hitting two of my favorite places there - the BEACH and Krispy Kreme.

Limping on the sand on the beach is going to be tough, so guess that only leaves ONE option.

Good morning all:

Dr.Bob, that foot looks bad. I can only imagine the pain you must be feeling! We have been praying for you. I hear Krispy Kremes are good for broken toes... ;)

Well, feel like it or not, I must go back to the 'corner' today. It is costing me WAY too much money to continue to pay alternates. I have to pay their taxes on what I pay them.

It is 32º and fair here this morning. Supposed to be 51º and partly cloudy. High of 44º tomorrow, with rain the rest of the week. Maybe Spring is bypassing Illinois this year.

Cruising,

Suddenly Blackbird looses his hefty appetite and sells all stock he has in Krispy Kreme!!!

Get well soon, Bro!!

Dr. Bob,

I will continue to pray for your foot and toes.

I'm off to work now. My mother sent fruit to my 4th graders last week as a breakfast treat before they took their standardized tests. She even peeled the apples and cut up the oranges and put them in little individual sized cups with red grapes, too.

She even left the peeling on the apple slices for those who requested it!! You see, on the first day, some said, "But, I like the apple peeling."

I just know when I get there today, they are going to demand, "Where's the fruit!?!"

I may have a pint-size mutiny on my hands.

Peace and good morning-

Scarlett O.

OUCH! That looks really sore! Will keep praying. I think nice warm sand will feel good but I'm guessing you'll need to wear a firm shoe when trying to walk so you don't bend that toe! OUCH

Morning everyone. I slept on a sleep sofa last night so Jim could cough when he needed to without worrying about waking me. He seemed to sleep better. He's gone to work!

I don't have Ty all week so can sleep late (and still get paid). Eight days of sleeping in....

Good morning everyone!

Bless your heart, Dr Bob, that foot looks painful! I'm with the others, Krispy Kremes are good for the foot and the soul! Won't talk about waistlines, though.

Between housecleaning and working on Bitsy's dress, I've got to run Son over to the dentist. He's has a cavity that I really thought could wait till our regular check up, but of course that would have been much to easy. It abscessed over the weekend, two weeks before our checkup. The tooth in the same spot on the other side did the very same thing right about this time last year. Poor Son has inherited his father's teeth and not mine(I rarely have teeth problems).

Anyway, I'm here long enough to drink coffee and then must get started on the day. Somewhere along the line I hope to find Bitsy's glasses that have been missing since sometime Friday afternoon.(crossing fingers here) This is the second time in a week that she has lost them.

Dr. Bob,will be praying for your toes! Will also be throwing away the rest of my Krispy Kremes! ;)

Morning all:

Got up at 2am with Viv, as usual. Had to go back to bed when she left. I'm still not breathing normally, and one lady who used to be a nurse practitioner said I had pneumonia in one lung and possibly in the other. I don't know if I'll be on much today, as I'm probably going to be in bed. I'm too far to drive into the doctor with my vertigo attacks, and he can't get me in until Thursday anyhow! Would appreciate your prayers.

MK, sounds like your busy! Will be prayin' for you, too.

TONY! You could be DEAD by Thursday! Did he send you out any antibiotic? If you have pneumonia, you must see the doctor. Tell him I said to get you in!!

Cindi, I've got those teeth too. Sure hope Son isn't in much pain. Does he have swelling? I've had one abscess but LOTS of cavities. Now my teeth don't close. My back molars may have shifted out of place (?) and they're too high for the rest of my mouth. No detal insurance tho.

Sorry All but Krispy Kremes are only effective if a lot of people eat them at once. Now if Dr. Bob will just overnight express me some, I'll gladly join in.

I appreciate your prayers, and will return the favor by praying that you'll feel better soon. Is there not an afterhours clinic or ER you could go to before Thursday? :(

Diane, Son has no pain at all! I'm not sure how that happens with it pooched out like it is. This is a baby tooth though, so that probably has something to do with it. The one he had pulled last year has already grown back in! This is the third abscess he has had. I'm getting used to dealing with them so it's just one more thing added to my list of things to get done today.

Ah! A baby tooth! I'm glad! Mine was as large as a grape cut in half with no pain but I had to have a root canal and then a crown. If it weren't for the kindness of 'stranger's', I don't know what I'd have done.

Will they pull this tooth? Does he have to be medicated for a few weeks first?

Boy Howdy. Sorry to ruin everyone's appetite and that pix might have been over the top!! Mea ouchie.

Drizzly, rain/snow 32F "skies ARE cloudy all day" here in the Mountain West. Wife is headed to the chiropractor as playing with the kids (yes, they are still here) has wrenched her neck pretty badly.

The photo was fine, Dr. Bob. It certainly gave us a good idea of what you're going through.

Not flying out 'til Saturday. New granddaughter Alexis Brianna needs holding by her Gumpa and G'ma! THAT, of course, is the real reason for travel.

Hate to miss Easter Sunday in a new work, but we had a number of trips planned for 2005 BEFORE we knew that we would be in a new work. Folks there are understanding (or maybe they LIKE it when I'm not there preaching . . . )

It's out! I called the dentist just after posting earlier and they said come on in, so we did. The tooth was just about ready to come out anyway. Not much root left on it. Son is back to annoying his sisters already.

Lovely grandbabies, Dr. Bob.
