Sue, sorry to hear about the truck problems. Hope all works out, and will be praying too.

We almost didn't get to church this morning. My stomach is bleeding again and I may have to go back to the doctor on Tuesday, providing he's in. If not, I'll have to go to the gastro-surgeon I had. None of the piano players are going to be there tonight for the sing, so I will probably have to play for all of it. Hope I know all those songs!

    Ya'll have fun....

Diane...made a mistake...it was from BMG thwer I got my CD of Gaither.

I'm sorry to hear about your stomach Tony. Go directly to the surgeon since the doctor hasn't been able to find the cause or get the insurance to okay all the tests needed! In fact, if you're losing a good amount of blood, go to the ER and have them call in the surgeon!

I'm so sleepy again this afternoon! Jim took Nick to see the new Star Wars Movie about an hour ago. Just me and the cat, folding clothes and working on things for VBS. I got a LOT of broken crayons for the crayon cars but now have to remove the paper and melt them all. I'm thinking the one child I keep might just be the kid who'd love to remove the paper off those crayons. Hmmmm

If they want my business, they will accept me
    as currently cookie configured.

BTW, it took me about 15 minutes to post
this post AFTER checking the sight. I'd hate
to think that site messed me up, for sure
something did mess me up. I finally had to
reboot. I couldn't get to any web site on
any browser window, so i couldnt' post nor
    read the BB.

I got the message about cookies but then just clicked enter and had no problem at all. Hmmm

I left their site open and even opened a few of the pages to read the list of songs. No problems. Still can't find the CD you mentioned Tony, but Jim says he's seen it at a BIG music store near his work. I want it on DVD.

Well my boys should be getting out of their Stars Wars XXXIIIVVV by now. Hope it was worth the money!

BTW... we rented 'The Final Cut' off our Direct TV last night and it wasn't worth the $3.99. Boring! Jon bought 'White Noise' and it's not at ALL what you think it is. The dead wife is trying to communicate to her husband to stop a serial killer. It got noisy once or twice but glad I didn't pay for it!

It is past my bedtime and I have to deliver papers at 5:00 in the morning.

Tomorrow morning, we will also be going to the Memorial Day service to honor our fallen Veterans and then will go to the cemetery to honor our loved ones. [IMG]

THEN, we will come home and cook our dinner. Brent is baking the cake. [IMG]

    Pleasant dreams all!

I took my kids to see it last week---one of the best!! My favorite character(besides the screen named Obi Won and Anakin) is Master Mace Windo----I wish that Lucas would have found a different way for him to "get it" besides with the Force Lightning and Force Push "way, way out" of the window!! I would have had Count Dooku "beg and plead" for his life----I would have "hamed" that scene up a little more---and I would have had Obi Won doing the "pleasure" of putting him out of his misery!!!!

All in all---Obi Won is my favorite followed by Master Windo!

    Lucas struck "Paydirt" again!!!

Well I didn't go see it but Nick said it was 'just okay.... too much yakking' and Jim said the ending was weird.

I've sure enjoyed going to bed early and sleeping past 5:30. [IMG] [IMG] Tomorrow I have to be up at 6:00 and can't go back to bed.

Rain, Rain, Rain! Looks like a full day of it and then a chance all week. You'd think we were back in Florida. We lived there for 50 years, oh I mean 4 years. Hated it! It's okay to visit but can't tolerate the 'sameness'. Used to go to Lakeland with my college big sister a few times a month. It was nice just to get away from college but ........ give me some SEASONS. [IMG] My father and his wife live there now. She grew up in Lakeland City and they live in Ft. Meade now.

Say, Hurricane Season starts this coming week.

Send us some of your rain, Diane. We need it. April and May have been two of the driest months on record in Central Oklahoma.

My son and his family LOVE Florida and they survived three hurricanes in their first year of residence.

They want us to move there when we retire, but I like the lower cost of living in Oklahoma. We can always go for a visit which we probably will be doing for five graduations.

It is very cool here today. Great for cookouts, ceremonies, shopping, and cemetery visiting. We are staying home after a short trip to the cemetery. As one woman said, "her praise was that she went to the cemetery yesterday and returned."

We liked Florida for the first 9 or so months. It got SO boring tho. I love the change of seasons.

The rain has stopped but is all around us and we're expecting showers every day through Wednesday. It's nice and cool tho. Rain or cloudly days have never depressed me. In fact, I have more energy when it's cool like this, but I'd gladly share some rain if I could, Thankful. [IMG]

That's wonderful about your trip to visit your grandkids. I have two that I never get to see and now our daughter has taken a full time job working split days and weekends. The little kids go away with her husband's family for vacations each summer too.

Today is our youngest granddaughter's 2nd birthday. Our daughter has to work. No one's home for us to speak to her. Hope she likes her present!

We don't get much of a change of seasons here in Tennessee. We didn't in Augusta, GA either. After having grown up in Illinois (just about 45 minutes from where Sue is) I missed the changes of seasons. But, the old arthritis couldn't stand being up that far. Was even worse in Minnesota. It's nearly bearable here.

The fifth Sunday sing/fellowship supper went great last night! We started out with about 30 people, and I bet there were nearly 80 by the time the singing ended and we went to dinner. A lot of good music and fellowship in the Lord!

It's starting to look like rain here, and I can feel it coming in (so can Viv), but, I don't see any on radar. Strange.

There is a possibility of rain or storms later in the day. We just returned from the cemetery. I was surprised that the number of people that were there decorating graves.

My grandchildren's other grandparents have taken them on many, many trips: Alaska, Italy, across the US. I was so glad that they could afford to take them to all these places. I did not want the responsibility to take them by myself, but now Ed and I can take them places.

The problem is that we now have eight. Well, we are taking two to Florida and then one to Alabama.

I thought last summer was busy, but it looks like this summer will be even busier.

It doesn't look like Jim will ever be able to retire, Thankfull. I'm not much for traveling but it sure would be nice to be able to pursue hobbies or go visit our grown children once in a while.

The rain comes and goes but it's a pleasant rain. It'll be nice sleeping weather tonight!

Also, Thankful, We cannot compete financially with the grandparents of our daughters children. They rent homes on the shore for a month at a time. We have a small tent. I send a video for a birthday present and they buy hundreds of dollars worth of things and special order cakes. I feel like the girls will understand when they're older but at 2 and 5, we're just pictures on the fridge and a voice on the phone.

I would just like to thank everybody who posts here. I've suffered from Severe Depression for over the past 15 months(I lost both parents and my Grandmother over a 18 month period).
My Therapist wants me to be around happy people, and try to find enjoyment in day-to-day activities again. I'm on BaptistBoard every day and you all have helped me get thru many "bad days". I may not know your faces, but I know the size of your hearts. A big THANK YOU to all, you're helping me to, hopefully, eventually find my way out of a deep, dark, hole.

    Thank you Friend!

A lot of us have gone through bouts of depression, anxiety, etc. and have found a measure of peace from the support and prayers of our BB 'family'.

I hope you become a regular with us here. We just stop by a few times a day and chat. Just light subjects to get away from the 'weightier' forums.

    Blessings,

Hey, Great to see you posting, Friend of God! Sue has this lovely Coffee House for such a time as this! We try to keep it upbeat and enjoyable. If all else fails, we laugh at ourselves!

Sue, how's that tummy today? Hope your discomfort has passed!

Tony, has the bleeding stopped? You WILL see the doctor tomorrow, won't you please?

Just talked to our son in law! The birthday party for our 2 year old granddaughter is just about to start. We had sent two 'Donut Man' DVD's for her and stickers and a Veggie Tale book for her sister who is turning 5 in Nov.

NEAT news! The big house on the corner sold to a family with an 11 year old girl and a 6 year old boy. I've not met the family. They're just moving a few items in tonight. The previous owners had added on a three tiered deck leading to a wooden playscape and gorgeous landscaping. This is the house directly across from Ashley and Warren and only one house is between us. I can see the backyard very easily but have to go onto my front porch to see their front yard.

Nick is thrilled and so are Ashley and Warren! Need to invite them to VBS!
