Good Morning all. There is a nasty viurs going around. I hope Dale gets better he sure is in my prayers this morning.

I have a 10 am appointment with the Neurologist. they are going to see if i Have a brain  hehe.

All seriousness aside, I hope that they can find the source of my headaches.

It's 72 right now with low humidity they are talking 97 before the weekend is done. I'm off to do some more web surfing so protect your topics ;)

    Good morning!

Sue and Wendy Lea, God bless during your appointments today.

I was so sleepy this morning that I fell back to sleep while I waited on the coffee to make. I woke up 30 minutes later! Still didn't want to get up but T had to go to work, and I had made him late. Not too late but I hope he didn't have an 8 o'clock appointment!

I am still sooooo tired! I've considered going back to bed but would really like to get the house straightened back up. The kids have kinda wrecked it this week. So I'm trying to move even though I really don't feel well.

The sun is shining beautifully today. To bad we had so much rain yesterday or I could have worked outside a bit today. I have some holes to fill in with some of the extra dirt that we moved this weekend and some small trees to drag out. As wet as it is I'd probably get the mower stuck. If I'm lucky it'll dry up enough in front so I can mow there this evening. (just in time for the rain to start again Monday with Dennis and make the grass grow again  )

    Ya'll stay cool.....

    Good Morning, everyone!

Hope Dale gets to feeling better.

My two grandchildren are back from Florida. They had a great time, but I believe they appreciate their home more. There is no place like home.

Two more are here visiting, but they are over at the other grandparents house for a few days.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Gracious! I sure hope Dale is okay! Broken ribs can cause serious concerns! I'm not sure about the spot on his colon. I always thought they had to do 'other tests' (Dan had that test) to find things there.

Wendy, I had a tummy virus type thing for 3 days. Felt fine other than that tho. I thought mine was from a diet change. I'd been eating only salads and the salad dressing Jim bought tasted like it had a lot of pepper. Pepper does NOT agree with me! Finally took some Imodium and all better.

Cindi, we got 4.91" of rain last night! It was still storming after midnight! It's only 68° and it's almost lunch time!

Dennis? Gotta check 'him' out! Didn't realize another had already formed.

Well I have the preacher's kids tomorrow for LONG hours so I'd better get all my chores done today. I've got some people coming to pick up some things I'm giving away through Freecycle.org too.

Have a great day and hope everyone's tests come out good. My friends son is at the urologist already. Talked to her hubby but he's not heard anything yet.

Sue, am praying for Dale. Am praying for all other requests and burdens here. There's a lot going on here in Augusta today. Viv's uncle tried to talk her into taking her name off of her mother's bank account so he could have free reign to do as he jolly well pleased without any accountability. Viv said no, but that she would ADD him to the account, which she did. It will take them both to close the account, and Viv will still have access to find out what is going on with the proceeds of the insurance, etc. We personally don't care if we get a cent of the insurance, though there will be enough left over. We just don't want to see the other two get ripped off again. If they've got money coming to them they should get it, not their uncle. Anyhow, it's all in God's control. Viv's tried to stay calm through it all and has done amazingly well.

They did get Viv's mother into the cemetary she wanted to be in for a fairly reasonable price. She will be buried fairly close to her own parents and to my father. I'll be glad when it's all over with. Would appreciate ya'lls continued prayers.

Tony, I wish it weren't so far from here to Augusta. I think you and Viv need a big hug. Praying tho!

    Tony,
What will stop the uncle from spending the money in the account? If his name is on it, too, what control does Vivian have other than knowing what he already spent?
Pay the funeral bills immediately before he spends it otherwise!

OUCH! I got an Ab-Doer off www.Freecycle.org today and it came with 4 tapes. I did the 5 min. morning workout and about 7 mins. of another tape before gave in! [IMG] I also was VERY good again today with not one snack and I ate a tuna salad on lettuce for lunch and then tuna salad with a boiled egg for supper. I'm serious about this extra 20 lbs (weighed on scales at another dr. and it was 8 pounds heavier than my home scales)

So, do keep Sue and family in prayer and PTL her granddaughter doesn't have a brain or ear tumor!!

We're expecting Hurricane Dennis by early next week. Jon was supposed to go to Fla. on Sunday for a week. He's sort of thinking about leaving a few days later to miss the bad weather (driving).

Also, a mom recommended me for emergency child care for a 7 year old for 3 partial days next week so that'll be a few extra dollars. I probably didn't charge enough but it's what the Lord led me to ask for and the mom just works at a grocery store so can't make a lot of money.

Tomorrow is my mother's 73rd birthday and I don't have any idea where she is. She always does this. She WAS at a hotel in Ala. but checked out and was supposed to go to my uncles. She's not answering her cell and they never answer their phone. She might be back at her cabin in Ga. by now. Oh well.... Our oldest son's birthday is Sunday. He'll be 34!

    Night all,
    Diane

Praising God that wife and daughters missed the terrorist actions on the London tube by exactly one week. The previous Thursday, they were at all those stations and rode those trains.

The underground is open for business to-day. Londoners are rather resiliant and will take this in stride as they always have.

A photo is taken of every passenger and the police there will find out who the bombers were.

    Cheers,

    Jim

GOD IS GOOD - ALL THE TIME!

Dale had emergency surgery last night at 9:00. He got out of surgery around 11:00 and spent the night in Recovery. We arrived at the hospital ten minutes before he went to the OR and we got to see him again in Recovery.

    NO CANCER! PTL!!!

His colon had twisted, and adhered to itself, causing the blockage. It was the scenario we were praying for, but not really expecting. Funny how we do that, eh?

I have already talked to him this morning. He is in pain from the surgery, but the other pain is gone. He is in ICU and still has the NG tube in...nothing by mouth yet. They are rehydrating him via IV.

He should be home in 5-6 days and back to work in 4-5 weeks.

Before surgery, the doctor gave me all the worst scenarios. The one that really happened was not on the list!

When he was talking to me after surgery, he told me he did NOT expect to find something so simple. Brent and I, in unison, held up our Bibles and smiled. ;)

    I repeat:

GOD IS GOOD - ALL THE TIME!

Thank you so much for your prayers. They rode with us in the car and I have no doubt they were surrounding Dale in surgery.

    Pray for a speedy recovery.
Thank you again, from §ue, Dale, and Brent! [IMG]

Sue, it's good to hear your husband is alright.

I don't get to the board a lot anymore, but I noticed I don't think I've seen Dr. Bob, is he on a crusie, or just visiting or what? Hope his health is alright.taylor is a little jaundiced and they've been doing some tests, so keep her in mind. Pam is depressed becasue she couldn't nurse, now she is being overly protective and isn't wanting anyone to hold Taylor.

Isn't that GREAT news AND I thought, too, Jim1999 how close a call that was but God's timing is PERFECT!

Donna, praying for Taylor-Ann and sent you a pm with a trick they shared with me for Nick.

Now.... Jim's very depressed today. His old boss quit and they didn't replace him. Head of the office said less than 4 appointments a day is a fireable offense. Jim only has 2 so far today and the first one stood him up. Mention him in prayer, please?

What kind of work does Jim do?

He sells pest control services for Cook's Pest Control so he goes out and inspects houses, attics, crawl spaces and then gives quotes for bug control or termite. He drives about 200 miles a day making sales calls but they're supposed to give him the places to go! Now, if they don't have any, you've got to find them yourself! He's working about 14 hours a day and every Saturday til 3:00. He's been there since Nov. 1 and we have GREAT insurance, too. It's a Christian owned company.

Now see... I asked people to pray and I just called Jim and he's got 7 appointments for today and has no idea how he'll get to them all because they're so spread out all over a big area.
    THANKS FOR YOUR PRAYERS!

    Evening all:

Prayer is amazing; eh Diane? PTL!

Dale is still in ICU (Intensive Care), and can't eat or drink with the NG tube in. He is having quite a bit of pain, but it is from the surgery and not the original problem. That is a GOOD thing. They are keeping him pretty well 'out of it'.

I am hoping he gets moved to IMC (Intermediate Care) tomorrow so he will have a phone in his room.

We are going down to see him tomorrow morning, after breakfast and then Brent is going to spend the day with his half-brothers when we get back. I think the kid deserves a break (not literally).

I came home early today as we had to deliver papers and, we have to deliver them early in the morning also, and I'm still really tired.

Brent and I just HAVE to stay awake long enough to watch the Season Premier of "Monk" though. ;)

I need my brakes checked. They started 'squealing' on the way home from Springfield and have been getting worse. There's no place to have it done until Monday though. Dale usually takes care of things like that - but not THIS time...
