Well the lymph nodes in her neck could be from all the sinus infections. Seems to me I read that lymph nodes can take 10 weeks to return to normal. Poor kid! I saw a report on the internet that said misaligned teetn can cause severe neck pain. Adding resin to the teeth that are 'low', realigned the jaw and stopped the cranial / neck pain.

She hasn't been to a chiropractor has she?

I need to break down and get an appointment with a TMJ specialist. Our insurance won't pay for dentists but will for TMJ treatment. My teeth don't touch so I have trouble chewing and my jaw hurts most of the time now. I sure feel bad for Precious!

Tav---my wife, Miriam---has TMJ!! Pain "comes and goes"---mostly comes---leaves slowly!!! Ibuprophen helps releave swelling of the jaw joints. The specialist said to lay off of hard foods---junk like raw carrots and chewing gum---and no steak or any other junk thats hard to chew!!!

She hasn't been to a specialist in a long time---but I have a friend in Jackson that she will soon go to---the best TMJ specialist in Mississippi.

Morning all:

It's 75 here and there are huge storms coming our way from the North. Viv's still in bed and probably will be for about another half hour or so. We finally got to bed at about 10pm last night and she's getting some sleep. About time, too! She needs it!

She's taking me to the doctor as a walk in at 8am this morning as soon as they open. I was supposed to go to him at 5:30pm on Monday night, but forgot that I had an appointment. It wasn't hard to do with all of the other junk that was going on. It was a follow-up with him about what had gone on with the neuro-surgeon and also to get my blood work done for this month. If my hemo counts are too low this month it's back to the hospital for more blood. Lawdy, I hope it's not in the "8.something" catagory. It was 9.1 last time and is supposed to be up around 17. Two months ago it was at 12.9.

Diane, Blackbird, I have a brother and a sister in law that both have TMJ and they say it is painful as all get out. Will be praying for all ya'll. (Oh, Lawdy, I has been down heeya tu lawng!) ;) )

Have a great day all!

Good morning Tony and all:

I hope your tests come back all right and good for Viv - getting some sleep!

It is already 80º here and will be close to 100º, for the next four days, at least.

Dale has to drive to Springfield this morning for a check up. He insists on driving himself so ya'll be praying for him please.

I need to fix breakfast early so he can take his medicine before he goes.

I'll be back later...

Well, just got back from the doctor. He looked at the report from the neuro-surgeon and was pretty disgusted with this guy's lack of integrity and respect towards my wife and I, and his lack of concern towards the problem. Seems like he's had this problem before with this surgeon. I don't think he'll be using him again, at least that's what he says. The letter that he received via fax this morning was full of half truths about the conversation and some outright lies, and my wife and I told the doctor so. We also told him that this would lead to a complaint from us to the medical licensing board this next week, and it definitely will.

Anyhow, the doc is sending me to another neuro-surgeon that his father in law went to in Nashville at St. Thomas hospital. My docs father in law had a far worse back than mine and this doc fixed his father in laws in two or three surgeries. His father in law was 55 when he had the first surgery, 12 years older than me, and 60 something when he had the last one. No back problems since. I hope to get to see this surgeon next week. My doctor advised me to cancel the pain clinic and did prescribe some pain medications since the pain clinic seemed to be giving me the run around. Thank the Lord. Maybe this will help.

Well...it's lunch time and then we've got to go into Shelbyville to pay some bills and get some groceries.

Thanks, Tony!

My mother had back surgery at age 72 and never had another problem (she lived to be 94).

Dale is back home safe and sound and the doctor said everything was going according to schedule.

He lifted some of his 'restrictions' but will not give him permission to go back to work until he can give him a 100% clean bill of health. Which is a good thing because there is no such thing as 'light duty' at the factory...

Hey Tony, would your insurance cover an out of state doc? University Hospital in B'ham has an excellant doc by the name of Mark Hadley. I understand that he is one of the best in the country.

B'ham isn't that far from you, is it?(about 4 hours from Nashville)

Diane, thanks for the links. I saved the last one to my favorites so I could go over it more carefully. We do not use chiropractors although I've been tempted to use one for Son's migraines. I did some googling for thyroid and neck pain and I didn't like the results! Thyroid and lymphnodes was even worse. I think I may wait and just see what the docs say when these new tests come back.

Son is very down with a migraine today. He has had it most of the week. We're trying a new medication today. Pray that it works.

Poop and Worm Report, EH?

Still going (outside only) and he's passing an occasional dead worm. He's exhausted right now. The children had him outside for a few hours and he was dragging these long sticks around the yard. Silly puppy is so small. LOL

Patches finally took her pain killer and antibiotic. I had to put it on my finger in some soft food and pry her mouth open tho! She's sleeping on my bed.

I've had the minister's kids since just after 4:30. They DID go back to sleep tho! They're getting noisy now and Jon's got to sleep so he can work tonight so time to make one nap and the others calm down and turn on a movie.

Yuck, I hate worms. I don't mind practically every type of creature out there, but parasites and cockroaches make me squeamish.

We got our second cat about a year ago in the church parking lot. He was a scrawny little kitten--3 pounds. I thought he was about 3 months old but found out from the vet by his teeth that he was 6 months old and 50% underweight! When we got him he had fleas, worms, and ear mites. He got Revolution and Capstar for the fleas and Droncit for the worms. Blech.

Droncit takes care of Tapeworms but I don't know if it takes care of everything.

Patches had tapeworms when we got her. The vet gave us the big pill. Hard to get her to eat it!

Scooter is doing VERY well potty training. He does need to be taken out if he's been running and playing tho!

Just popping in to say good night.

Monk will be on in 30 minutes and Brent and I always have a 'special' snack and watch it together.

Pleasant dreams all!

Well, good morning Sue!

I woke up at 4:30 and couldn't go back to sleep. :(

It is almost 80º already and is going to be another very hot day. Tomorrow and Monday, the actual temperature will be 100+º. The heat index will be over 110º with no relief in sight.

Since our garden shriveled up to nothing, I am off to the Farmer's Market to buy some tomatoes.

CYAL,

Scooter woke me at 1:30 and 4:30 to go potty but I did sleep in til 7:00. Nick's still sleeping. Jim's working today.

Wow, Sue! I had no idea it was going to be that hot up north. That's a little hotter than here! Our heat index over the next three days is to be 107° with an actual temp at 98°. I'm so thankful Jim was able to fix our air conditioner AND that we have the window unit for this room.

With it getting so hot for the next 3 days at least, I think I'll find some inside work to do that I've been putting off.

Our previous pastor is preaching tomorrow. I sure wish he'd not ever left but he felt it was God's calling so not for me to question.

Ug, I took my vitamins on an empty stomach today. YUK. Makes me feel so queasy!
