COMMON GROUND COFFEE HOUSE #86

Thankful

Good Morning, All. This is our revival meeting week. We are spending more time at church than at home. We think each day is Sunday. The services are wonderful with many people attending.

The light for the 30 gal. was broken and Wal-Mart doesn't have any, so it looks like we will be going out of town to try and find one. The 10 gal. one is up and running.
Entertainment for the kitty? Hope it doesn't go fishing!

Good day, all.
Thankful, revival weeks are great. By the end all the extra nights out kind of catch up with me, but it's worth it!!
A day off from repair work going on today...am so glad!! Looking forward to church tonight...

We are back from Springfield and we have a new light. We had to buy the whole hood because they didn't just sell a replacement light.

Anyhoo, both aquariums are up and running and they are SO pretty AND soothing!

Entertainment for the kitty? Hope it doesn't go fishing!

The fish might entertain him, but the tanks have hoods on them so he can't get at them.

Brent did school work all the way to Springfield and back, so I have a lot of grading to do.

Well, it's 96 degrees here with a heat index of 103! YUK!!! Humidity is over 80% and the air quality alert was just sent to me. No wonder I couldn't breath!

I have dinner in and hung four of the five sets of mini-blinds. I don't have the patience or the energy to hang the ones in our bedroom. I don't have the energy to hang the curtains, either. So...Oh well!

Was going to try and be in Bible Study tonight, but, doesn't look like we're going to make it. I was put back on the Lydocaine patch, and it's making me sick as a dog! I'm wondering if there wasn't a problem with this batch.

Morning all:

Well, the Lord answered prayer and I WAS able to be in the Bible Study last night. I was glad to be there. I had called the pastor and told him I wasn't doing so well and that I might/might not be there, depending on whether the nausea and twitching passed. They weren't totally gone, but I took my shower and went anyhow. It was a great study and I thank the Lord He gave me the strength to go.

It's been quite warm here this morning. So far, no fog. It's 75 and pretty clear, which is unusual, at least this year.

Hope all is well for y'all today.

Be Good, Be Kind, Be Careful!

Good morning all:

We are getting ready to leave for the hospital.

Dale has his colonoscopy early this morning.

I will check in when we get back, not sure how long we will be gone, but several hours anyway.

Good Morning everyone!

Wonderful news Gayla! I hope you continue to feel better.

Tony, is your vertigo allergy related? Ragweed is blooming here and the whole house is suffering! I hope and pray things get better for you. Oh and check your patch dosage and make sure that the pharmacy gave you the correct dosage. To much will make you sick.(I have a friend on the patch that this happened to, it took her a week to figure out why she felt soooo bad)

Praying for Dale, Sue. Is this colonoscopy a follow up to his surgery? Good luck with the aquariums, I can never keep the fish alive. I do much better with things that breathe air!

I'm going to be around a bit today. I cleaned the house yesterday and only have just a few things to accomplish today. Mostly I'm just going to keep Bitsy company. She woke up with a little stomach virus, let's hope it stays little.

If ya'll are lucky I may come around with some apple fritters or muffins.....

Thanks, Jim and MK.

We just got home. It didn't take as long as I thought it would. Dale will be resting today. He hasn't eaten since Wednesday night, but he isn't hungry right now.

I don't think they were really looking for anything because when they had his stomach open, repairing his colon, they found no signs of cancer anywhere.

I think this was a follow up test to make sure the intestines that were sewn up have stayed where they belong and no staples have come loose (they're supposed to be permanent).

Bobby is home today with bronchitis and I'm having a bout of IBS. We are not a 'peppy' group today!

I slept in the recliner last night and didn't get much sleep. I think I'll try to take a short nap while Brent is doing his school work.

CYAL,

Good Morning, everyone! I'm so far behind in reading what has been going on.

Besides three hours attending the Revival each evening, I had to play for a funeral and then make an emergency run to the vet for Muffin (not Ed
laugh.gif
) Ed's allergies have been bothering him. It seems that Muffin had something wrong with his ear. He scratched it so much that the ear and the skin around the ear was infected. They had to shave that area (so he was embarrassed) Then they gave him two shots and when I got him home, he was so hyper, he would not settle down. I had to rock him like a little baby to get him to go to sleep. He had not slept for a day and night because of his ear.
I gave him benedryl yesterday and today so he is sleeping. He let me doctor his skin this morning without a fight so he is better.

I'm exhausted!

Thankful

Goodness, the Board is "Depressing" today.

Maybe someone will come up with some new subjects that are uplifting.

Praying for all the people who may be in the path of Rita. We may even get some weather because of the Hurricane. Many of my friends and some relatives are in the Texas area.

Mk, Are the Apple Fritters, ready yet?

Thankful

<img src=/BettyE.gif>
Yea, that's a thought. The weekend is here and it's pay day for some people!

I think I'll take a nap.

Muffin is feeling better, but I need to cut back on the benedryl. He is sleeping too much.

Today is my oldest grandson's 18th birthday. When he was a year old, we went fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. Sure couldn't do that today.

How about an orange supreme cake instead Thankful?

I lifted something yesterday and hurt my back so I haven't been able to motivate myself into any real cooking. The orange cake is from a mix(ie, not real cooking). I'll try for the fritters tomorrow.

I'm with Sue, I'm glad the weekend is here! I'm sure T is glad also since he has been leaving the house before 7:30 in the mornings and not getting home till 10 at night this whole week. He is just about exhausted.

I think you're right about the board being "depressing" today, Thankful. Think I'll head back up to the General Discussions and try to get a conversation going about something else.
Give me a minute....

Good morning all:

***Praise Report***

Dale's colonoscopy came back fine and he is back at work today! So the surgery was a big success!

We are getting rain today but at least it's cooler.

I am 'toying' with starting a big project, stay tuned for more details later... ;)

Cruising,

We're getting some wind gusts from Rita here---about 300 miles away from the storm eye---probably in the 15mph range----not much rain, though!!!

Frost in the night. A sure sign of things to come, but it is sunny to-day. Might have to wear long johns under my short trousers to-day.

Sue, good to hear about Dale's medical report.

Almost have the rental house ready for occupation. It is all painted now. Carpets to be laid Monday, then wait for worker to finish installing the washer/dryer and Bob's your uncle.

Cheers,

Jim
