When the weather is dry, the sun is shining, a gentle breeze is blowing, and it's about 70º out - yes it is fun.

However, when it's pouring down rain, or so hot your glasses fog up, or so cold your glasses fog up AND it's like a blizzard outside - no it is NOT fun.

Also, I have a lot of the Junior High kids who think the word "authority" means "rebel" and call names, etc. That isn't much fun either.

Still in all, it's a good job for what I get paid...

    Hello,

The City schools closed today and tomorrow
"in anticipation of rising fuel costs".
So far they haven't risen as much or as fast as after Hurricane Katrina. Guess they have to try to save some money where they can.

If I bought a lottry ticket, would y'all pray for me to win? :D ;) [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Our kids had school today and whinned all day that it just wasn't fair. Their momma said it wasn't fair that she had to hear it all day.

Oh, may Gayla win and give me half :D

Hear about the dairy farmer that won 3 million dollars in the lottery? When asked what he was going to do with his winnings he replied, "Guess I'll just stay in farming as long as the money holds out."

I just paid $2.89/gal for regular and felt like I was stealing it.

    Evening all:

CJ: That was an awesome testimony! Thanks for sharing! [IMG]

CILCO notified all it's cutomers today to expect an increase of $10.00 to $30.00 in our gas & electric bill starting next month due to the cost of natural gas going up. I don't like the increase, but I'm grateful I have gas to cook and keep warm with...

I am heading to bed. Brent and I played Nintendo after eating spaghetti & meatballs, salad, garlic bread, and jello salad for supper (yes we still eat supper - not dinner [IMG] ).

Bobby was able to join us - that is a special treat. I even got a kiss on the cheek and a 'thank you Grandma' from him. [IMG]

    Pleasant dreams all!

    Good night, Sue and all.

When I went to college, we were taught to eat Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So for years that is what I called it, but we have reverted back to the breakfast, dinner/lunch, and supper of my youth.

Thank you, CJ for sharing. I can just see that woman making the best of the situation, serving coffee, water, food and provided the needed bathrooms. I was glad that they helped her cleanup the trash and litter.

I so enjoyed that testimony, CJ.
I've always eaten dinner, although I have many good friends who eat supper. I was just invited over for "supper" to one of their houses Sat. night and I wasn't going to tell them they were using the wrong word!! [IMG] :D

    Morning all:

Sue, I guess I'm gonna have to start sending my mom some money towards her electric and gas bills. She's already about ready to pull her hair out because they are so high. They're going to be higher here, also, by 33%. But, God knows our needs.

It's foggy here and 68 this morning. Viv said the fog was really heavy up on TN 840 and on Midland-Fosterville Rd. 231 Wasn't so bad, though.

I didn't sleep much last night. I kept waking up with pain in my back and legs. I'm going to have to buy a recliner or go ahead and break down and buy the sofa with two recliners in it.

I'm praying for all of you today. May the Lord make his face shine upon you and his hand guide you in all you do.

Be good, Be kind, Be careful.

Growing up in England, we had breakfast in the morning, dinner at noon, tea at 4 (really a small snack) and supper at about 7. The main meal of the day was dinner,,hence the word dinner..supper is a light evening meal.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Good morning all:

Tony, I sleep many nights in my recliner when I have Bronchitis.

Jim, we have supper in the early evening, but it is our main meal. It would be healthier to have our 'heavy' meal at noon, but impossible with everyone working at that time.

It is foggy here too and 52º heading for a high of 76º. Rain expected tomorrow.

Dale is still injecting himself twice a day with Lovenox (in the stomach) and also taking Cumidin (sp?) to try and get his blood thinned out to the right level. He is getting a ProTime blood test every three days at the lab. Hopefully, that will happen soon so he can stop the shots.

I feel like a cup of coffee this morning so there is a fresh pot brewing for anyone stopping by and a pot of tea for Jim.

    Cruising,

Busy day here making new frames for windows. Since all my tools are at home and these windows are at village house, I am trucking back and forth.

Sue, things are quite different everywhere regarding mealtimes. It doesn't trouble me whether one calls the evening meal dinner or supper. I just can't get hung up on some words.

Dale must be very careful taking coumadin (sp..lol). It is rat poison by any other name, and a slight cut will bleed forever. I took it for awhile. Imagine the fun I had doing my 5 daily blood sugar tests and the little geysers at the tip of my fingers. I had to give it up, or charge admission for those viewing me doing a little dance.

Believe it or not, Brits drink almost as much coffee as they do tea. I drink about 3 cups of coffee every day...the shops just can't make tea properly and got into that habit.

My daughter, the doctor, faints when she gets needles herself, but it doesn't trouble her to give them. I'm not sure that we ever get used to the needles...I would like to forget them...just be sure to change location or a lump will form...maybe being on the tubby side does have its benefits.

    Cheers,

    Jim

You spelled it right! I just looked at the bottle. LOL

Dale has had two serious heart attacks and has one stint and a defibrillator. That's why he is taking Coumadin. They can't seem to get his blood thin enough.

His dosage jumps around from 2mg a day to 8mg a day depending on the results of his ProTime. Until his next test, Thursday, he is taking 4mg one day and 5mg the next. And, of course, the ever present 'baby' aspirin daily.

Dale has never been 'tubby' and he has lost a lot of weight before and since his last surgery. He looks like a broom handle! The shots go into a different spot on his stomach twice a day.

I'll be very happy when he can quit taking them as I know he will...

Coumadin sounds like something that should not be given to people! Rat Poison!?   ?!!??
Did Coumadin start the same time as the shots? Maybe he'll be able to stop both soon. (please, Lord)

Our electric company raised rates 7% back in the spring, so maye it won't go up again so soon. (Please, Lord)
[our last 2 bills have been pretty high, but someone in this house is having hot flashes that seem to last for hours.]
    We need a Praying Graemlin!

Y'all have a good day, and a good Supper!

    Hi Gayla. [IMG]

Dale will always be on Coumadin. Any type of blood thinner is rat poison and he has been on one type or another for a few years.

The shots started four days before his colonoscopy and should be discontinued in a week or so (please Lord).

    Morning all:

Going to be short this morning. It's a cool 59 here with a humidity level of 100%. There is medium to heavy fog.

Sue, I will be praying for Dale.

Asking for special prayer from ya'll today. I know this isn't the prayer forum. I mowed the lawn (most of it) by riding mower yesterday, and part of the neighbors since they had helped with part of ours, and had a severe asthma attack. I gave myself three breathing treatments, but I'm still not able to breath well. I can't just sit in this house all day long, and needed (YES NEEDED!!) to be outside yesterday. I needed some sunlight. I've already started on inhalers and breathing treatments this morning. Pray I'm well enough to be in service tonight. I'm claiming "I can do ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST which STRENGTHENETH ME."

God bless ya'll today and make his face to shine upon you.

Be good, Be kind, Be careful

    Love you.

    Bro. T

    Good morning all:

    Just prayed for you, Tony.

It is 55º right now with humidity at 84% and a high of 75º today with rain. 43º tonight and only 63º tomorrow.

My computer was messing up yesterday so I'm going to try and figure out what's wrong today.

    HAGD!
