Hi Barnabas!

I switched from Diet Dr. Pepper to Diet Vanilla Coke, but I'll always keep plenty of Dr. Pepper around just for you.

It was kind of a lazy day around here. I DID go to Krogers and buy food supplies I couldn't get at Aldi's.

And I managed to fix supper and do the dishes and that's about it.

Pleasant dreams all!

Good morning all:

It is literally freezing here at 32ºF!!! I am not ready for this quite yet!

Another grandson (Seth) turned 12 Wednesday. He, Brent, and a few other boys are eating supper at Pizza Hut tonight and then they are going bowling (Seth's dad is chaperoning). Brent is looking forward to that!

HAGD!

Good morning Sue and others:

It's quite cold here (at least for the South, and especially for this time of year!) at only 28 degrees. There was a lot of frost on the windows of the Lumina, even though Vivian just left for her job a few minutes ago. They have her coming in at 8 am today. After she gets off, I'm going to my PCP to get a steroid shot and some antibiotics. I'm still running a fever of over 100, but don't really feel all that bad. Just a runny nose, coughing and sneezing and pressure in my sinus area.

Tonight we have a prayer meeting at our pastor's home in Murfreesboro. We are still praying for some facilities to meet in other than the two homes. I know it's hard on the two families, but I've been praying for God's special mercies and grace upon these two families. They've become like our own family and we love them so much and greatly appreciate what the Lord has led them to do for the church.

Sue, it sounds like your grandsons are going to have a blast! Though I don't know Seth, tell him Happy Birthday for us.

I got one set of curtains hung (living room) yesterday before the dizziness took over, and I felt blessed that I was allowed to get even that far. I'm going to try and get the curtains hung in the office and the spare bedroom this morning and afternoon. I'm also going to try and clean up the office a bit and finish up the dishes.

MK, YES! I was once a child! ;) My wife say's I still am at times!!! LOL

Good evening, everyone!

Time flies when we are having fun! I don't think I have accomplished every much today. Didn't even have time to post or read much on the BB. Now that is really terrible! Painted this morning and ran a few errands, but most of the time I was balancing our bank account. :(

It seems I always forget to record a check and then I'm 2 cents off. I really can't stand it when I can't balance it so I probably waste at least $15.00 trying to find 2 cents.

Oh I forgot, I'm retired so I don't get paid for my time.

It is another lovely day here. We have fall cleanup today and tomorrow. The city picks up stuff that they will not pick up on regular trash days. We only had some huge cardboard boxes to get rid of and a broken and torn canopy (result of Oklahoma wind).

Howdy ya'll!

Another normal day at the menegerie. Son woke up with a fever so we spent 3 hours at the doctor's office getting him a nice shot and a round of antibiotics. This dumb cold he and I have had this week gave him a sinus infection. I just got off the phone with T and he is coming down with it too. At least he has Monday off so he'll have time to get over the worst of it.

All these sick folks AND Precious is off on her first "date".   The fella she is "going out with" came all spiffed up to get her for the school dance. His mother is driving, I'm picking up. Precious loves this poor boy so much that she didn't even change her outfit!

I gotta wonder though, where did my baby go? Who is this person who is big enough to wear my clothes? I need chocolate!!!! (or maybe something stronger but not in front of the kids)

Gonna be busy tomorrow. The kids have a board breaking clinic first thing in the morning then Upward Basketball evaluations after that. Then we have to pick our pumpkins and pick up a few groceries. I hope Son is feeling better in the morning!

I spent some time on my check book this morning as well, Thankful. Our bank merged with another and last weekend everything got, moved. My Quicken program won't download anymore due to things I don't understand. I had to figure the check book BY HAND! :( I'm praying I didn't make any mistakes.

I also did next months budget since next month technically starts this weekend. Since I also can't use Quicken for this, I decided to do it in Excel. So I got down to totalling it all up to see how much I'd have left over for groceries and I didn't have anything left. I almost had a heart attack, but since I don't use Excel very often I decided it was the programs fault! Upon further investigation however, I realized that I had entered a $9 service charge as $900. Good thing I don't work in someone's office, huh!

MK, your daughter is dating?! Don't you know all them little boys are trouble! My baby just turned 21. She can either start dating in another 21 years or two years after I'm dead-whatever comes first. First boy that called on her never came back. Hmmm, could it have been something I said?

Good morning!

I left work a little early yesterday to go renew my driver's license. Did you know they now take your fingerprints? I was stunned. So...now they have your D/L number, your S.S. number and your fingerprints. So much for being an anonymous member of society.

My cable connection is just about on it's last leg. After several calls to tech support, and one visit from them, they have decided my modem is about to go out. So today, I get to go swap out my modem. Hopefully that will fix it as my connection has been almost "unusable" for the last week or so.

Then I'm going to my brother's for my birthday dinner! Trying to stretch this into my "birthday weekend"! :D

Good Afternoon everybody,

We've spent the last two weeks, day and night, at the hospital with my wife's former Mother-in-Law from her first marriage.

She moved here from upstate New York and was living with my Mother-in-Law who lives just down the street from us.

Talk about The Twilight Zone. My wife's ex and her former Mother-in-Law in the same hospital room together with the rest of the family.

Joyce had surgery two weeks ago, and had been improving, but then she developed a severe infection and wasn't able to fight it off.

She passed away early this morning. We'd been at the hospital until about 1am then left to come home to get some sleep. My wife's ex called us at 4:30am, and said to come back to the hospital.

Joyce was saved, and loved the Lord so I know where she is and that she isn't suffering anymore.

It could have been a very uncomfortable situation, but Joyce treated me like her own son. I'll always remember that.

We'll make the arrangements tomorrow, but today; after two weeks 24/7 at the hospital we feel like we should be doing something, just don't know what.

Sorry about the length post, guess I just needed to vent a little. Thanks for your understanding, and patience.

Sorry to hear that, Rob. At least you know she's in Heaven.

It's nice when extended families can get along. I see more and more of that all the time. What's the sense in fighting?

Thankful

Sorry for your loss Rob. May God Comfort you and your family.

Hi, CJ. OU beat Nebraska today and I'm watching a very exciting OSU vs Texas Game. OSU 21 Texas 9, 2nd Quarter. Well, it will probably change after the half, but it is exciting now.

I would be for Texas if they weren't playing an Oklahoma team.

Good morning all:

Rob, I am so very sorry to learn of your loss. You are indeed in my thoughts and prayers. God give you peace.

Well, I went to the doctor on Friday and he told me that I had a bacterial infection in my lungs and in my sinus'. I'm not really happy about that. I also had to undergo and ultrasound for my heart. It was beating irregular and they wanted to make sure there was no fluid around it. I was also informed I would have to go back to the pain clinic for my back and resume the spinal epidural injections of steroids to try and bring the pain under control. I go Monday afternoon to get started again. Tuesday I go to the otolaryngologist for my hearing/menieres.

I don't think I'm going to be able to go to church this morning. I'm running a fever of over 100 and am having a hard time breathing. I've been coughing since two days ago and can barely talk.

Lord give ya'll a great day.

Be good, Be kind, Be careful.

Good morning all,

Tony, so sorry to hear of your additional health problems! I pray you will be over your newest malady soon.

It is cold this morning, but supposed to be sunny and in the high 60's. We have a yard full of leaves that need taking care of so we will probably be busy this afternoon.

Blessed Lord's Day to all,

Good morning one and all, I think this is my first or second visit to the coffee house.

This is for friendly chat, well I thought I might learn how to be friendly if I hung out here.
I forgot to make biscotti and I forgot to make French roast, I only made Costco brand regular coffee. Forty lashes with a wet noodle.

I hope everyone is well this morning and Praising the Lord for His Blessings and another beautiful day, no matter what the weather is, it's another beautiful day.

Speaking of weather, the temperature is 51 degrees and it's overcast and it's supposed to rain today.

We played hooky from church today, we are having our house resided. They should finish today, they started last Wednesday. Theres has been a lot of hammering and tearing off of the old siding before installing the new.

We have leaves in our yard too, I'm too lazy to rake them. I run my mower with a mulching blade over them and that pretty much takes care of it. When I was growing up in Minn. we used to rake leaves into a big pile, then dive in the pile and the leaves would go all over the place, that was fun.

Does anyone have plans for Thanksgiving?

Have a wonderful day. God Bless!
Bruce

Just curious! Have a wonderful day.

Tony - You take care of yourself and do everything that the doctor tells you to do to get rid of that infection. I'll be praying for you.

bruren777 - Ha! I have noooooo idea from where I got that phrase. I haven't said it for a long time and no one that I know says it, so I must have gotten it from a book or something. I do read alot.

OK, everyone, it's that time again!! Do I REALLY need to say it??

~~~~~~Sunday Afternoon Nap!! 2:00-4:00!!~~~~~
