Good Morning everyone!
Whew! The days keep getting busier! We've had fun the last two days though. Thursday the kids had thier karate awards and dinner afterward. Friday was the Reading is Fundamental distribution at Son and Bitsy's school and then Precious had a part in the eighth grade production of the "King and I".
This year I'm giving up being coordinator of the RIF program. I've done the job for the last 6 years. It was so nice to let someone else do the worrying. The new coordinator is did a great job! She is very well organized, unlike me, who couldn't remember which supplier I had used for the wonderful hardback books we had gotten last year.
The play was very well done. It was a pleasant surprise considering how I'd been led to believe that not everyone had learned their lines! The kids did a great job.
Thankful, I hope Muffin gets to come home soon. I'm the pet mama that drives the vet nuts calling and checking on my babies. I usually make the trip down to actually see them with my own eyes if I have to leave them overnight. Be aware though that they don't act or look well after being under the anithestic, especially the first day. Mine have always slept the biggest part of at least two days after I've gotten them home.
You and I also have car trouble in comman. My car will be in the shop until at least Monday afternoon. My first sign of trouble were some gauges that were acting up and then all of a sudden I had no heat. Seems there are two problems, the first being a faulty sensor in the gas tank that was keeping my fuel gauge from working correctly(by the grace of God alone, I didn't run out of gas because of it). The second is a gasket in my cooling system that was leaking out the coolant. That was the cause of no heat and the temp gauge that was constantly in movement. They also have a recall on the tail hatch to fix. Thank the Lord I'm still in warrenty! After just having to have my heat pump fixed, I don't have the funds to pay a big repair bill.
Sue, I want to bake today myself, but I'm not sure I'm going to get to it. I need to supervise the kids while we finish the holiday cleaning, cut out three items that have made it to my sewing table, and watch the Auburn/Alabama game! Cookies may have to wait until tomorrow.
We'll probably wait till Wednesday to hang the Christmas lights. It's supposed to be fairly warm that day. My hand won't hardly let me work outside if it's cold. They just stiffen right up and start hurting.
Ya'll have a productive day.
