Anyone but us have a problem with their cats tearing up the Christmas tree ?
Only once! Been to the Pit Stop lately?

Hang the tree OR the cat from the ceiling.
Sue, you are my kinda woman! Been to the Pit Stop lately?

better not let blackbird or any others of the Pit Stop crowd hear about letting the cat out. They done been singing songs about smackin' cats & loadin' guns!
That's 'cause we missed Scarlett.

Guess I should go do some Christmas shopping! Have a great day folks!

Good Morning.....
sleeping_2.gif

I am soooo sleepy this morning. I need some of what Gina and Sue are on so I can wake up and get busy. For now I guess another cup of coffee will have to do.

Last night was Christmas with T's family. Now the kids have money. I've already heard the word "Walmart" coming from thier direction. Unfortunately, I have to actually go to Walmart today and pick up some groceries. I hate Walmart with kids!

Bro. Curtis, somehow I missed your cat question. Our kitty has undecorated the bottom third of the tree. Lights, garland and all the purple and dark red bulbs she can reach are gone. When she couldn't get down the purple bulbs by just jumping and swatting at them, because they were to high, she started climbing the center of the tree! I finally took all the purple bulbs down. There weren't many left, anyway. Have you guessed yet that purple is the cat's favorite color? Never had a cat before that had a favorite color.

I'm going to try to get things together and get moving. I have to go to the coop after hay and pine bedding(for guinea pigs and dogs), then one last extra kid is coming for a couple of hours to play with Son.

More caffiene! I need more caffiene!

MK, maybe purple and dark red are her least favorite colors, and bother her, and that's why she tried to get rid of them. Or at least those colors as lights.

Back when those styrofoam, satin-wrapped balls were in style, I had a cat that always had to unravel at least one every Christmas! That was a funny mess to discover when you came downstairs in the morning! But at least it was easy to clean up, not like ribbon that had been eaten on its return trip....

No, Preacher. I got tired of reading about how to maim, destroy, and eat cats. </font>[/QUOTE]Nobody in the Pit Stop eats cats. They're too stringy.

I thought dogs and cats were colorblind too, Sue. But Hairwolf definately prefers purple. She loves these little plastic balls with bells in them. They come in packages of eight, two each of pink, purple, green and yellow. She ignores all but the purple. The purple ones she plays with. The others one only get attention if a human picks it up and tosses it for her or if she is bringing it to us meowing for us to find her a purple one(she brings it, drops it at our feet, meows, sniffs it, turns her nose up, walks away a few steps, then looks at us pointedly and meows again)

And the only balls she bats off the tree are the purple or dark red(kind of burgandy colored) ones. I've never seen the like. Hershey(our last cat) was an equal opportunity tree destroyer.

Debby, when this one isn't pulling the garland off the tree, she is wrapping herself up in it. How she can tangle herself up in and then just slink out of it, has to be a cat talent. I really just think she does it so I have to untangle it to put it back on the tree! Thank goodness I don't have any satin balls. Those wouldn't last a second.

I know Sam can tell colors. she has a green, blue, & reddish tennis balls. whichever one I tell her to get she does so she has to be able to tell the difference in the colors.
Now BH I dont know for sure, cept I know she see's the color red if ya try to mess with her food....

Evening everyone!

Actually I should say goodnight as I'm heading for bed! I never really woke up good today and the sleepys are catching up with me.

The critters are happy with thier clean cages and fresh hay. T and his BIL are playing video games with Son. The girls are doing their own thing. That means no one needs me(finally!) and I can take control of the bedroom remote and doze in front of the tv.

See ya'll tomorrow!

Hmmmm... looks like everyone's gone! I think I'll walk over and see what's left to eat. Coffee pot's empty, donut box open and empty on the counter, a couple of plates with little bits of what appears to be the remains of Festive Holiday Cookies. Wow, I haven't seen the CGCH this empty since...well... last Christmas.

Oh, my! There's squirrel tracks in the donut sugar! Heading over to the Pit Stop. Stay out of stores today. They are full of evil people with short tempers and tunnel vision.

Hey padre!

I may not be here, but I came in early this morning and made coffee, baked fresh donuts, and cleaned up the mess.

Man, the weather, she is caaaarrrrrrraaaazy!!!! 38 degrees today, probably colder in the mountains. I hope it gets back down, I don't want the snow to melt away....

I let Phyllis open a few presents last nite, since we will be so busy this weekend. She hadn't wrapped mine yet, so I have to wait.

The presents she opened were mostly camera accessories, and she will need them to document the holidays.

Tonite my company is taking us to bowling, dinner & an open bar. Since we don't drink, they're getting off cheap. I'll make up for it by getting an extra big meal.......

I'm glad someone likes the cold temps. For my part I'm glad it is supposed to get into the 50's today. It was warm enough yesterday that I got the garage cleaned out so Santa can rest his reindeer for a while Christmas Eve.(Well that excuse worked on the kids! ;)

)

Today is cleaning, baking and sewing day. T's family may be up this evening for Friday night pizza.

I think I slept last night. At least I'm not yawning every two seconds. I'm almost in the Christmas spirit. It is boosted by the fact that I shouldn't have to go to Walmart again before Christmas!

Ya'll have a good one!

BH said the only thing she disturbed last night was knocking off a couple of ornaments when she fell out of the christmas tree. She thought it would be a good place to keep a lookout, but she forgot agout not being able to balance too well....till it was too late!! I guess thats why she was in a bad mood this mornin'.
Guess I didn't clean up as good as I should have.
