It doesn't say. It says it's the "park usage" fee. But, as it says to have the ticket displayed on your windshield, I'm assuming they aren't going to charge if you walk there, they just check the cars. It's in reasonable walking distance, but Anna often can't go that far without getting exhausted, and my piggy back ride giving days are over!

Goodnight Thankful!

Preacher, I say you listen to sfiC and dress up BH!

Boomer Sooner!!!!

Did I tell y'all the kids put three little pieces of nacho chip in the fish tank yesterday? So far the fish, named Fluffy Tree Goldie, hasn't tried to eat it.

Well...actually I tried that once, didn't go to good. She was strippin' them off faster than I could put'em on & using them to stuff in her box!!
She told me she was like EVE...she'd just wear a coat of skin!
But mabey Agee could, she's usually more relaxed with her. I think it's the way she rubs that little fat belly!

I used to have a preacher friend in Lenoir who was pastor of East Hudson Baptist Church.

He and his wife travelled and put on a play called 'I Looked All Over Heave For You' I went to Wadsworth, Ohio back in 93 with them and played the blind man.

Good morning all;

SFIC, we don't usually double or triple post. When you have an afterthought, just hit the edit button and you can add it on to your first post instead of double posting. We used to have a poster who was a 'pro' at that. He did it on purpose, but we finally broke him.

Hubby is home today and hopefully will get the outside decorations insided and the lights down before it rains this afternoon.

Brent and I are going to work on the inside decorations. I don't like to take them down. It always looks so bare after Christmas.

I have been "decluttering" again and have 'gifted' several things on FreeCycle. Four items have been picked up and two more are going this week-end. I still have a few left.

Saving the earth, one gift at a time...

The last time I heard from him, he was busy with work, family, and church. I got a nice Christmas card from him and Jan.

Good Morning, everyone!

It isn't very nippy here, Jim and we are still looking for rain. The weather person said that the next fronts that come through are going to be dry!

We have another funeral to attend today.

I think I'll cruise the other forums and be back later.

Take care,

Betty

Just taking a break from packing Christmas decorations away. Brent is a big help. We've got just about everything down except the tree. Dale is taking down the outside lights.

It is supposed to start raining this afternoon and rain/snow for the next few days, so I'm glad he's getting them down now.

The Nativity Scene and the candycanes that light the sidewalk have to be washed off before they can be stored. I will get to do that once he brings them inside.

Back to work,

Good morning all,

Please forgive me for the double posting. Will try to remember the edit button next time.

Slept in... was up on the ol' PC pretty late. When yer retired and eyesight is not the best, ya sorta change sleeping habits.

SFIC...sorry I haven't been in sooner, had a bunch or runnin' around to do & just got on line.
Lenoir...you're talking out toward the coast, we're in Davidson County, about 30-40 mi. from the Highpoint greensboro Winston-Salem area. Just about the middle of the state. But I love it here!
My wife though would rather be back in the hills.
No work there though or we'd still be there.

Preacher,

Ah, ok. You were close to where I lived back in 91 - 04. I lived right there on South Elm Eugene Street in Greensboro. Also lived in Randleman, Level Cross, and Coleridge.

Couldn't tell ya how to get around those places too well though. They have laws against blind people driving. Go Figure!!

Yeah...got a friend of mine with the same complaint. I tell him one day I.m gonna find an empty parking lot & turn him loose behind the wheel! :D
But I do know where Elm & eugene are! Lived rite next door to Randleman too,..in Asheboro. Denton is about 25mi. south of there.

ahhh!

I think I am going to take my case to the Senate and get laws passed to get blind people their license. Hey, it ain't our fault the roads are in the wrong place

Actually I am a great driver. I stick the cane out the window and follow the curb. Don't do too bad a job. Except the last time I drove I tripped three pedestrians. LOL

I always have my seeing-eye dog beside me when I drive,,besides, people around here know my truck and they should know enough to avoid me on sight.

Cheers,

Jim
