You mean I got you two mixed up?

Can I blame it on strong meds?

Supper was delicious (no okra) and everyone is stuffed. Tomorrow night it's venison steaks.

I'm not going to bed yet, but I'm signing off for the night so I can play some games with Brent.

Tomorrow is stove shopping time. I've been putting it off for a long time, but the one I have is over 40 years old and almost impossible to get clean anymore. Plus, hubby can't seem to fix the gas leak (or get it leveled), the thermostat is shot and the spring is broken in the door.

I'm switching from gas to electric and it's gonna have a self-cleaning oven!!!!!!!!!

Pleasant dreams all!

I got tired of being called the follower of a false teacher on another thread, so I came in here for a breather.

Me either, Betty! What a great game, but it kept me up WAY past my bedtime!

I was a Texan before I was an Okie so if Sooners can't be #1, then Texas can be #1.
I've always been a Texan, but have lots of connections with Oklahoma...so if the Longhorns can't be #1, then the Sooners can be #1! In fact, I love to watch the Sooners play, and even cheer them on...when they're not playing Texas! :D

Shh Linda, don't tell anyone but I'm hiding out in here too. Not from BB members but from kids! (though I've had my share of disagreements here too)

The party's not over yet! They've shopped me nearly to death, talked my ears off, eaten pizza, hotdogs, chips and cake(they'll be back for icecream in a minute) and now they are blowing each other up(or maybe they are united in blowing up the enemy  ) on the video games.

Bitsy has decided to hide out with me and is playing in the corner with her horses and polly pockets. Poor thing, four boys are just to much for her.

Precious though is holding her own! She's bigger than they are and she knows karate!

preacher,

If I were still in Greensboro, I could teach ya some. Took up karate many years ago.. was able to even break hands with a brick... er, reverse that... break bricks with the hand.

lol

May not need it now....know how dogs have a "sweet" spot that you can scratch & their back leg does like Thumper?

Well I learned a while ago BH has one too!! Right in the middle of her backbone. I WISH I had a camcorder!!

Good evening everyone! Thanks for the prayers. The Lord always seems to work things out better than we can even anticipate.

I think Ed and I set a record today. We went to Walmart and did not buy anything. Nothing. We did not spend a cent. They did not have want we were looking for, but we did get to visit with a young woman who has had several deaths in her family this year. She was an active member of our church, but has been taking care of her mother and visiting another church. It was good to see her.

I'm so far behind on our household paper work I have decided that I am going to wait until February to tackle it. All the tax papers should be in by then and I can do it all at once.

See you all tomorrow.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!

The party is over! The kids have gone home. Son is happy. Hubby is home and fed(finally, a late meeting made him miss the cake and ice cream). I'm exhausted.

To exhausted to even go get a cupcake. Maybe Precious will get me one.

And it is cold, cold, cold outside! The weather man has been promising us this cold front for a week now. Well, it's heeeerrrrrreeeeeee! Brr! When we got home the huskies started howling for me to move them to the front(where they have nice beds of hay) and didn't hush till I did. They are all burrowed up now, happy as clams. You know if a husky thinks it's cold, it's COLD!

It's taken me so long to catch up, I don't have time to say much.
How often should you change the water in a fish aquarium? Those fishies didn't last two weeks. And I thought the water was alot more cloudier than it should be . . .

nite, nite!

Here is a cute story I got in my email today:

The Tomato Company

An unemployed man is desperate to support his family of a wife and three kids.He applies for a janitor's job at a large firm and easily passes an aptitude test. The human resources manager tells him, "You will be hired at minimum wage of $5.35 an hour. Let me have your e-mail address so that we can get you in the loop. Our system will automatically e-mail you all the forms and advise you when to start and where to report on your first day."Taken back, the man protests that he is poor and has neither a computer nor an e-mail address.

To this the manager replies, "You must understand that to a company like ours that means that you virtually do not exist. Without an e-mail address you can hardly expect to be employed by a high-tech firm. Good day."

Stunned, the man leaves Not knowing where to turn and having $10 in his wallet, he walks past a farmers' market and sees a stand selling 25 lb. crates of beautiful red tomatoes. He buys a crate, carries it to a busy corner and displays the tomatoes. In less than 2 hours he sells all the tomatoes and makes 100% profit. Repeating the process several times more that day, he ends up with almost $100 and arrives home that night with several bags of groceries for his family.

During the night he decides to repeat the tomato business the next day. By the end of the week he is getting up early every day and working into the night. He multiplies his profits quickly.

Early in the second week he acquires a cart to transport several boxes of tomatoes at a time, but before a month is up he sells the cart to buy a broken-down pickup truck.

At the end of a year he owns three old trucks. His two sons have left their neighborhood gangs to help him with the tomato business, his wife is buying the tomatoes, and his daughter is taking night courses at the community college so she can keep books for him.

By the end of the second year he has a dozen very nice used trucks and employs fifteen previously unemployed people, all selling tomatoes. He continues to work hard.

Time passes and at the end of the fifth year he owns a fleet of nice trucks and a warehouse that his wife supervises, plus two tomato farms that the boys manage. The tomato company's payroll has put hundreds of homeless and jobless people to work. His daughter reports that the business grossed over one million dollars.

Planning for the future, he decides to buy some life insurance.

Consulting with an insurance adviser, he picks an insurance plan to fit his new circumstances. Then the adviser asks him for his e-mail address in order to send the final documents electronically.

When the man replies that he doesn't have time to mess with a computer and has no e-mail address, the insurance man is stunned, "What, you don't have e-mail? No computer? No Internet? Just think where you would be today if you'd had all of that five years ago!"

"Ha!" snorts the man. "If I'd had e-mail five years ago I would be sweeping floors at Microsoft and making $5.35 an hour."

Which brings us to the moral of the story:

Since you got this story by e-mail, you're probably closer to being a janitor than a millionaire.

Sadly, I received it also

Gayla; Do you have a goldfish bowl or an acquarium? That would make a difference because an acquarium has a pump to help keep the water clean. If you just have a bowl, you need to change the water every couple of days. Also, the water temperature may not have been right. I've 'fried' a few fish in my time...

Acquarium water does not have to be changed very often, but it should have a couple of gallons taken out and replaced with fresh water once a week. And, of course, keep the filters changed. The water can get cloudy real fast if you are feeding the fish too much.

A good rule is never feed them more than they can eat in 5 minutes. A fish's stomach is only as big as their eye and more fish die from overfeeding than from underfeeding.

Good morning all!

I didn't sleep too well. I think I was too excited about buying a new stove today. I mean, when you only get to do something every 40 years, it IS exciting!

Brent and I will be doing school this afternoon instead of this morning, since he will be shopping with me.

I'm leaving early so I'll be there when the doors are open. Our old stove has already been disconnected so I would like the new stove delivered today...

HAGD!
