Oh Gina! At first I couldn't figure out what you were talking about. Then I took another look at what I posted. I'm missing two smilies in my post. ;) :D were supposed to be after my sigh so ya'll would know I was just being funny. Now I wonder just what I did that they didn't show up? (Oh well it could have just been brain freeze!)

I really do enjoy my kids being home. If I didn't I wouldn't have two of their friends over since 10:30 this morning with no end in sight. They are having a blast and staying out of my hair(if not my livingroom) while I clean. So far I have found parts of my kitchen I haven't seen since Thanksgiving(the fridge for one). I guess the livingroom will have to wait till tomorrow. They are all in there watching "Sky High" and eating lunch.(well you can't cook in a dirty kitchen! lunch is only two hours late  )

Just got back from Wal-Mart where I made a sheet of wallet-sized pictures that I'm going to use for Brent's school picture this year.

Those throwaway cameras don't do too bad!

Speaking of...The picture under my name is about six years old. I have sent webmaster the URL for one I just had taken this Christmas. I hope I get mine up as quick as Ron did!

We got Brent's 'school room' all set up and it looks really nice. He won't have any distractions in there. It's where the spare bedroom used to be.

I think I'm going to sneak a nap in before hubby gets home from work.

    TTFN!

Well, a few months ago, I decided I wanted a different hair style so I decided to let my hair grow. It grew and it grew and I fussed and I fussed. I also decided I'm tired of perms and hair color. I thought it would be neat to have my hair the same length instead of layered.

Well, I stood it as long as I could. So to the beauty shop today. I have a new hair style and I think I like it. I think I like it. I think I like it. I wonder if Ed will even notice. He will notice if I am not complaining about my hair. :D

Gina, I feel your pain. I miss my daughter every, every day, but I do have precious memories. But I can remember a time when my children were small that I thought I had lost total control. Control of them and the house, but gradually, they began to listen to me and I learned to have fun and enjoy the noise and clutter.

Got to fold clothes and then I hope there is time for a short nap.

    Betty

Hey! I could make good use of those! Feel free to bring to my house tomorrow for a nice, long visit.....your two hands are welcome to come and supervise thier use, too! :D

Well doggone it! I just get the kitchen clean and it's time to mess it up again! Have to do soon to cause Precious has karate at 8.

Ended up with an extra for the night. I think this kid just needs to move on in, he's here as much as he's home. [IMG] Of course, when he's here he help with whatever needs doing! I like my kids to have those kinds of friends!

I one kid once to tell me that the reason they didn't come over more often was that my house wasn't always clean. At the time I was averaging 6 or 7 kids a day, and I only had 3 of my own. I promptly told her that my house would be clean to if I didn't let so many kids come play, that I made a choice not to worry about a spotless house. She'd never thought about it that way.

    Cindi
(who still has to many kids to have a clean house. wonder what my excuse will be when the kids are grown?)

    Howdy Gang!
Well, didn't make it back to work today. Had some kind of bug hit me yesterday while tryin' to do some housework for Agee & have been in bed till a couple hours ago. Then Agee missed work this evening with a bad headache. Haven't even felt like messin' with BH. Gonna run in a bit & make me some tomato soup & see if that'll perk me up any! If I don't get back in have a good nite & don't get a belly ache from all the sweets!!

Well, we received our natural gas bill today and I guess I should have been worrying with the other "old folks" about how we are going to pay our heating bills this winter. We just had a few days of extremely cold weather and our bill was more than double what it has ever, ever been since we have lived here.

We used twice as much gas as we did last December, but we were not home for two weeks of last December, but we left the heat on.

Oh well, I am grateful that we can stay warm!

But I was shocked when I looked at the bill!

I think to soothe my nerves I will go tomorrow and buy that new purse I want. [IMG]

    Evening all,

Betty, we got our gas & electric bill from Cilco. I knew they had gotten a raise passed, but I had no idea!

Our bill for last month was only $35.00 less than our mortgage payment! I don't know how some people are going to get through the winter.

Well, a team of seven miners left our county today to help with the rescue effort in West Virginia. That makes 15 rescue units from all over the country that are helping now.

Friends and relatives of the 13 trapped miners gathered Monday evening at the Sago Baptist Church, in W. VA, for prayer and support.

Time for this one to head for bed. I won't leave any sweets since Ron has that covered tonight.

Preacher, I hope you are feeling better tomorrow - Agee too!

    Pleasant dreams all!

Makes one glad to heat with wood!

Shame with the poor miners! One wold think with all the modern technology,,putting men and women in space...........and we can't devise some safe method of going underground! God bless those families.

Why isn't this thread saved to the top anymore?

    Cheers,

    Jim

Jim, we may need to take our gas logs out of the fireplace and use wood, but wood is very expensive here also.

Yes, it is a shame about the miners and I agree about still sending men underground.

Going to Bed early. Grandchildren are supposed to arrive early tomorrow morning! They don't start school until Thursday.

    Good night!

    Blessed morning all:

Sue, those heating bills up there will hurt many. I know my mother is not making much money cleaning other people's homes, and she's going to have to apply for help, I believe. Some of us kids will try to help as much as we can, but two of us are disabled and having a hard enough time surviving ourselves. I'll be praying for all who are facing heavy heating costs this year.

It's around 41 here and wind chill of 36. There was a lot of frost on the windows of the car this morning. Took Viv nearly five minutes to get it all off of the front and side window. The defroster took care of the back and part of the front.

We're praying for the families of the twelve miners who didn't survive. We have friends who are miners and live in WV and it's a scary thought to think that they could go like that! Lord, please give these men safety and comfort the families of those who've passed away.

Is anyone here interested in starting a prayer chain with me? I pray for a lot of people, get prayer requests daily, and I feel prayer is important. I have prayed about it and believe the Lord would have me start a prayer chain among friends and family who know the Lord and pray. Don't answer now...just pray about it first, unless of course the Lord gives you an immediate answer. If the Lord would have you to join me in this please drop me an email at AJLanius@gmail.com .

Thank you all for being my friends in 2005! You helped get me through some of the toughest times in my life and Vivian's too. We love and pray for all of you.

Be good, Be kind, Be careful.

    Bro. T

Good Morning, everyone! No, I am not sick to be posting this early. I had to get up early because grandchildren arrived at 6:30.

Somehow in the confusion I forgot to tell Ed that they were coming this early. He thought I was going to go pick them up. I thought he could read my mind. :D

It is a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

Glad to see you, Sue and Tony.

Now I probably will not be back all day. Grandson loves my computer.

Good morning all. It IS still morning here, kind of!
I'm off to a couple of overdue hours of cleaning, but wanted to pop in and see some friends first!

The girls are in school, and I finished my grocery shopping. Hopefully I won't have to go again in a while! I bought all the freezer stuff yesterday, and today I bought stuff to stock the fridge and dry goods. Now I need to find containers for the bulk stuff. I'm not used to buying like that, but decided that it will save money and time so I'm giving it a try!

I got some things in the mail to send into the doctor's office for Anna, so that means things are getting kicked back into gear, which is good! She choked pretty bad last night at dinner, one of the worst ones as she went blue very quickly. I was about two seconds from calling for an ambulance, but she got over it color back, then we both sat there and cried a few minutes. (the misplaced heart artery narrows the part of her throat where food goes down, that's why that happens) She pretty much takes it all in stride and bounces right back. I love that about her!

    Have a good day. [IMG]

    Hello Folks'
Didn't have time to yak this mornin' ran in long enough to scoop up a snoozin' BH (some lookout heh?), put her up & head to work,...finally. I thought I might be in trouble for missin' yesterday but they actually moved me to a line thets supposed to be permanant for me. I work thru a temp. co. at the energizer plant & they usually bounce ya aroun everywhere.
Poor BH, I truly think she's mad or confused. I went over to pet her when I got in & she puffed up actin' like she was gonna bite me. She hasn't seen me really for 2 days & guess she had to "taste" me to make sure I was her tree. Now she's fine. I forget how socialble squirrels are I've been so sick I just haven't messed with her. She's bit Agee 1 time too many so she won't reach in the cage any more to take her out. Shes fine as soon as I get her out but she don't want anyone else messing around in her cage. I don't know what I'll do if she gets to where she won't have anything to do with Agee, I know it would make her feel awful.
Well I thinks I'm gonna go rest a bit & finish up what housework Agee didn't get to. Ain't I a good hubby??? Who...me...toot their own horn??...
    NEVER!!!

I got on my computer for a few minutes.

Gina, that must be very frightening. It is wonderful how Anna bounces back.

I feel like I'm having school today. Let see, we sorted pages for my hymnal (numbers). Then we painted a painting and mixed colors. Then we cooked lunch and started supper. Granddaughter loves to read the recipes. Then we had piano and music lessons. More cooking, cookies, this time. We will share some of those. Now we are playing mystery puzzles on Granpa's computer.

Oh yes, we read books to see which ones would be good for her baby cousin.

I did take an hour nap. (This was cartoon time and playing with toys)

Oops got to go. I know I used to have more energy.

Granpa called and wanted to know what was all the noise. Well Grandson is here also, so he has to have his computer time and tv time, etc.

    Take care.

    Betty
