    Hey everyone!

I kind of forgot to check in here today. Guess that means I was bu-sy!

Had a meeting with the school systems special ed director. While I didn't agree with every the man had to say, at least he didn't bother to threaten us with failing Cass(otherwise known as Precious) for missing to many days. This is a step in the right direction. We also touched on Chris' issues, so at least he has an idea that the worst is yet to come.

On a totally different front, the youngest has been invited to join a new group in gymnastics. She has moved to far along for the group she is in and I'm not letting her compete(just not gonna). There are several girls in the same situation so the gym owner started us our own little class. Yea!

    Time to cook supper!

I'm too tired to catch up tonight. I've been doing our federal taxes all day. YUCK!

This is my 3rd year with Turbo Tax and I've never had a problem until today...

Somehow our mortgage interest got messed up on the form and I can't fix it. I've sent an email to 'tech support', but I'll probably have to call them and get put on hold for quite a while.

    Pleasant dreams all!

Good Morning, eveyone! Where are you?

I had to make the coffee and you won't like it!

But there is always the soft drinks. Brought some chocolate chip cookies and French toast for you to enjoy.

I'm going to take it easy today after I have completed the wash, worked on assembling tax records, framing some paintings, posting on the BB. Oh so little time.

It is a beautiful day in the neighborhood!

    See you later,

    Betty

G'morning all - kinda quiet around the coffee house for a Friday. Suppose everyone is busy finishing the work week so they can hunger down for the great blessing of Sunday - the Super Bowl.

    NOT!

    Good morning all!

I forgot to check in this morning and I've been up since 5:00!

Thanks for making the coffee, Betty, and I did so like it! [IMG]

The French Toast hit the spot too.

Betty, I may need to call you for some tutoring in English. [IMG]

We are having a terrible time with diagrams and I wasn't a whiz at it 45 years ago! [IMG]

    Back to the school books.

I took a day off work & went skiing yesterday. I spent the day in 22 inches of fresh powder. What a day. I had a couple good friends, & just had a wonderful time.

Can't really move today. Good thing I'm at work.

This weekend, more back-country skiing, (no lift ticket $$), cowboy church on Sunday morning, and no, I will not be watching the super bowl.

Whoever took the last cup o' joe didn't replenish the pot, so I'm starting one now.....

    Fresh Doughnuts - 6 Boxes

Sue's Cake Doughnuts are in the first box... leave her at least 2
    Next two boxes are Glazed
Last 3 Boxes are Powdered and Filled

    Napkin's are on Table.

I would have brought coffee, but I see Curtis is on duty today.

Oh well, back to Holystone and Brightwork duty.

    By your leave...

Didn't have any work today so we went to see my nephew JJ whos home on leave from Iraq. He goes back the 10th till Aug so I had to go see him. He's in the guard here & got shipped over last Aug. He was supposed to been home Christmas but that got put on hold. Now with him being home all his friends are either working or in school so he's sitting at home most of the time & told me he wished he hadn't come in till his time was up. He's doesn't know our Lord so please remember him.
He trys to act like its all one big game, but he runs on convoys from Kuwait to N. Iraq, & I know it's dangerous work. He's 21 yrs. old.

Oh, Sue. I haven't thought about diagramming sentences in years, but I always loved to do it.

I wonder if I can still remember how.

Do you have the answers so that you can see what should be done and figure it out to teach Brent?

Once Brent learns his parts of speech, it will be easy. That is the first important step.

Bro. Curtis, I was never brave enough to learn to ski, but I always loved to watch other people ski. I did a lot of snowmobiling back when I was younger. Sounds like a beautiful day.

Back Country Skiing is that what some people call cross country skiing? I have heard that takes more strength than downhill skiing.

I'm not watching the Super Bowl Game. I don't even know who is playing.

It takes considerably more strength, and endurance, it is excellent excercise.

That reminds me, back in 2001 the church we were members of had a young Psator. Godly young man..but that year at the time of the SB he called me that morning around 7am & said he was in bed with the flu & coudn't in any way make it to church & informed me I would fill in. Needless to say I felt bad he was sick but thrilled to get to Preach on a Sun. Morning! All went well, & around 2 he called to see how things went. I told him fine & he informed me I'd have to fill in at the evening service too(which I sorta already figured, & was studying). I didn't realize it was SB sunday till the next day but neither me nor the congregation ever let him live it down. Now... no he didn't watch the game, he really was sick. Just the timing!!!

Betty, yes, I have the answers. No, I can't always figure them out! [IMG]

We are doing prepositional phrases, linking verbs, adjectives, adverbs, AND diagramming. I may have him do this PACE over, so he really gets the parts of speech down pat, before we move on to punctuation.

I'm a great speller, but English was never one of my favorite subjects (especially diagramming)...

Friday night is 'family movie night' at our house. We rent, and watch, a movie until MONK comes on. We watch that and then go to bed. We usually have popcorn and hot chocolate.

I'm siging off now. I just wanted to stop by and wish everyone...

    Pleasant Dreams!

    Good morning all,

I'd better not eat any of the biscuits and gravy, preacher. We always have 'brunch' on Saturday because hubby works from 5:00 to 10:00.

I fix a big breakfast for all of us and have it ready when he gets home from work.

This morning, it will be sausage patties, hash browns, pancakes and fried eggs (maybe some biscuits).

It is a brisk 25º right now with an expected high of only 29º. We are having 20 mph winds and we also have another limb that is about ready to come down. This one will crash through our kitchen roof and the neighbor's garage if it falls...

    Need coffee,

Good morning. Breakfast sounds great! As long as I'm not cooking. [IMG]

I get to work on papers this weekend. Works for me...my hip is sore (it's a family them this week) so I'd rather not be running around anyhow. I may change my mind in a few hours.

We had a BEAUTIFUL day yesterday. It was full of sunshine, warm air, and clear skies!

It rained last night, but perhaps it will clear and we'll have a repeat of that nice weather.

I've gotta run and fold more laundry. You guys and gals have a lovely day. [IMG]

Good Morning! I was going to sleep in this morning. Actually, I slept later than usual, but my sweet darling 8 year old granddaughter called to talk. She is so excited about valentines day. She will be out of school Monday and will come for a visit. She is so cute. She will tell me all about her day and then say and How was your day? What did you do?

I am going to rest today. I am going to rest today.

Take care and have a great day!

    Boy howdy!

Relaxing day today. Yesterday was hectic. Our public high school hosted the state forensic (speech) meet and I was a judge at three different events. And being a Friday, inbetween each I had to zip to the clinic and do banking, ordering, etc.

Thankfully the high school is just a block from my house, so a nice walk (40F and sunny). Judges are volunteers, so I worked with 2 lawyers evaluating original oratory/persuasive speech. One young man's was on Intelligent Design and I'd like him to speak in our church!! It was good. (He was a mormon, of course)

And the district pools "lunch money" designed for the judges and cooks food for us or brings it in, since our time between rounds forbids us running out and getting a bite. So had pizza for lunch and then prime rib for dinner. Get to help kids, get the wife's work done, and get good food -- rewarding Friday!! [IMG]
