Morning all:

Now, Gina...don't stifle the childs creativity! ;)

It was very frosty here this morning with a temp of 30 when we got up. It's now in the middle 20's. There was a LOT of ice on the windshield of the car this morning and Viv wasn't happy about that. She had to let the car run for five minutes or so to melt it off the front windshield. We're supposed to get back up to nearly 50 today, but later in the week the highs will only be in the upper 20's and lower 30's.

I may try to go back to bed. Sleep didn't come easy last night. Vivian and I have had a whole load of duties placed up on us by the interim pastor of the church (though we did volunteer for one of them...helping with the 1st through 4th graders on Wednesday nights)...I've been hit with teaching the adult SS class, which I enjoy, don't get me wrong. I'm also on the Constitution and Bylaws committee as we draw these documents up for approval by the church. I'm not complaining about the duties. I know they have to be done, and we don't have many in the church who are ready to do some of these things, as they've never dealt with them before. So, it's going to be a busy three weeks for us.

I've got to start working on taxes ASAP. We need the refund!
(Don't we all??? LOL)

Be good, Be kind, Be careful.

Good morning all,

Tony, I have all my taxes done, but in filing electronically, I put an amount down on the wrong line and I can't get into the program to 'fix' it.

I have been in contact, back and forth, with tech support for 3 days! They sent me a download ending in ".tax", to fix it, and I can't get it open. Grrrrrrrrrrr...

I guess y'all know what I'LL be doing all day. We need our refund too!

HAGD!

Good afternoon, everyone!

Gina, your daughter takes after her mother. You will just have to live with it.

Well, I've been painting this morning and now must work on taxes.

MK, glad you got yours done.

Sue, hope you get the problem fixed soon.

I'm just always glad when we don't have to pay anything.

Take care and will stop in later.

Betty

My my my, taxes.......truly a joy.

I am a tax procrastinator, 'cuz I usually end up owing money.

Sue, remember, computers make life easier, right ?

I have figured, without filing, our Fed Taxes on two different programs and got the same result both times. :D

First used Tax Act and was surprised at the amount of the refund. Then used TurboTax and it came out the same!!

Bro. Curtis, sometimes it's hard for this old brain to keep up with progress.

I finally got it figured out though and the taxes are filed!

Brent and I are gonna go get a milkshake to celebrate and then rent some movies to watch tonight and RELAX. I need that. This ordeal has been harrowing, to say the least...

HAGE!

If you think your taxes are weird in the USA, try understanding this. One of my pensions increased last year by $2000.00. This is the first year I am receiving a refund of $400.00. All previous years I had to pay extra taxes on less income!

Cheers,

Jim

Jim--my sister and her husband are dual citizens of Canada and the US. Talk about complicated!

I don't have to worry about our taxes because my husband does them.

First in !!!! I got a pot on, & someone didn't finish the do-nuts, so hey, day-old isn't so bad.

Jim, whaddya gonna do with the money ? Be good to yourself ? Charitable donation ? Gifts for the offspring ?

Gwen, I think yer onto something.

We've had several sunny days in a row now, bit it's still only about 25 degrees in town. Hard to walk on the ice, but we do what we gotta.

Have a great day, everyone.

Good morning! It remains very cold here, but what is new in this part of the globe?

Br. Curtis, you asked what I am to do with the windfall? It is already spoken for. We help to support a missionary couple and there was an immediate need for $1000.00 in their field. We added to the $400. and sent off the monies.

Gwen, my one daughter, who now lives in Florida, is in the same boat of dual citizenship, but since her monies are earned in the USA, she only files a blank tax return in Canada. Only monies earned in Canada are taxable in Canada.

Cheers,

Jim

What, no coffee drinkers today ? Not a very busy place.

(Curtis kicks back, boots on the table, spills some java, and doesn't clean it up.....)

Now you GIT UP OFF that chair boy, and pick up this mess! NOW! I come home for lunch and have to wade through THIS?! And keep those nasty boots OFF of the TABLE!

That's oddly similar to the lecture I just gave myself when I walked in the door after coming home for lunch...thanks for allowing me to place the blame elsewhere!

Good afternoon all,

I am dealing with some issues in my 'real' life, so I am not posting much today.

Just wanted to stop by and say hello.

Evening All!!
Sue..Hope things are going allright.
Gina..You get'em girl!! I mean, why even I don't put my boots on the table. Well unless its to keep BH out of them after I've took them off!!
Hain't been around in a couple days. My computer crashed & just got back on line last nite. At least this time I had all my more important programs backed up on CD.
Jerry is leaving Sun. for Ala. to start a new driving job, which means....We Have The House To Ourselves!!! Yes YES!!
Overeaction?? nope, not at all, but I would ask ya'll to remember him because he doesn't know Christ, & remember Agee cause her baby is gonna be so far away for a few weeks. But he says there are computers in the trucks so mabey he can keep in touch with her that way.
It's finally turned off cold here. Mid 20's at night & around 40 in the day. I truly can't remember when it was that cold before this winter..had to be last Dec. I heard on the radio yesterday the whole nation set a record for the warmest Jan. temps ever.
Well gotta go get my HONEY pretty soon so take care & I hope to return!!

Thankful

Good evening, everyone! I just realized I had not stopped in today. It was one of those days that the list of errands was longer than the hours. The important thing was to go to the store to get food for Ed and Muffin. I accomplished that so I would not be in the "dog" house. Can't have them starving and looking at me with those sad eyes.

Take care!
