Morning all:

It's cold and flurrying here. Viv wasn't sure she wanted to chance it, but went ahead. Glad she did. She had to come home early on Tuesday because I had a severe vertigo attack and couldn't get around without help. Yesterday she left for work, but called because she saw me nearly fall off the front porch. She turned around and came back home and called in. The vertigo attacks were severe yesterday, also. Guess it was the barometric pressure changes and such. This morning they are a little better and I've been able to be on the computer for a few minutes. But, I'm going to have to get off. I'm spinning again.

Sue, hope everything is alright there.

Have a great day.

T

Good morning all,

Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts. My heart is heavy over someone in my family and I just don't feel much like posting. Please keep us all in your prayers.

I just stopped by to put on the coffee and drop off some doughnuts.

Y'all keep this place up and running now. I'll be back to 'normal' in a day or two...

HAGD!

Morning all:

It's a cold 32 here and we're looking for rain and snow by this evening. We're supposed to get anywhere from 3-6". For Tennessee that's not usually a good thing.

We had the first meeting of the church constitution and bylaws committee to draft these documents. It went fairly smoothly. There are some minor snags, but they'll be worked out soon enough. These things have to be ready to present for the church within the next two weeks.

We've got to scoot. There's a lot of stuff we have to get before we're literally snowed in (they don't de-ice the backroads where we live.}

We might get snow flurries to-day, but it sure is cold at -28. Thought I might have to clear the frost from my beard whilst standing front of the window just looking out.

Cheers,

Jim

Minus 28....that's cold, brother.

We've had several very sunny days in a row, but it's not getting above 15 degrees. But I see a front coming down from Canada, and you know what that means.....

SNOW!!!!!! GLORIOUS SNOW!!!!!!!

Phyllis wants a puppy. Can anyone give me some convincing arguments against it ? I love dogs, but I'm not ready for a 15 year commitment to one, just yet.

Time to throw on the body armour & head to the politics forum. Y'all enjoy the day, and have a nice weekend. Remember, Valentine's day Tuesday. Thank the good Lord in heaven for the person who loves you, even after they got to know you.

It's downright warm here compared to Jim's area! It's a little icy, but the sun is shining bright and that's wonderful! I'd like to curl up under a tree with a pillow and blankie and just fall asleep in the golden rays.

I caught myself using my old Kentucky-influenced section of Ohio accent during a conversation yesterday when it got real intense and I forgot to watch myself. LOL! I got a grin and an odd look...from my English professor. HA! The children informed me that I've completely reverted to my original Cali talk (which I found really annoying when I first came here and didn't think I could do again without slapping myself) so I'd grown lax about guarding my speech.

Now, I'm off to go get a SCAN TRON! Sounds so technical, doesn't it? I panicked when I was told I had to have one, but I guess they're only a few cents. Everyone keeps telling me I used them in high school for tests, but I didn't. We wrote on our papers. I guess that's outlawed now. LOL They want the papers back with no marks, and our essays on our own stinkin paper. You'd THINK that after class fees and costs and paying instructors and all that, paper would be the LAST of their worries!

This computer picks up gender biased language. Wow. You guys can't have a nice day, everyone has to. The postman can't come today...postal workers can though. Cute...

Yeah yeah...they even calling for some here tomorrow. I actually saw some yesterday, BIG ole flakes comin down. That was enough to do me till next winter! Although...BH has never been out in the snow...wonder how she'd react. She's so used to the cotton to make her nest out of she'd proably try to get a mouth full to put in her box!! Like when Sam tries to catch a snowball & wonders what happened to it!
French Toast??? Snow Creme yeah,...but French Toast? But at least that way ya don't have to be ont the look out for yeller snow!!

Yes. People here always think they have to go to the market before a snowstorm to get milk, eggs, and bread. The markets will be crowded tonight.

Not really. Actually it's more of an "older folks" thing. They think that in case they are "snowed in," they will have the essentials. Although to me, the essentials would be a little more substantial.

================================================

It is? Someone better tell me that. As an "older folk" I prepare in advance and don't leave it until all the young ones are pushing and shoving to grab the last ounce. "Be prepared" Old Boy Scout motto.

Cheers,

Jim
