No fear, I've got oatmeal on the stove! I would love to put some pecans in it, but BH has those beady little watchful eyes and quite frankly, I'M SCARED!

You are quite safe...long as you don't hear her chattering her teeth. Even I leave her alone when she's doing that!! I think it's a combination warning/self sharpening deal!! ;)

    Evening all,

We had a good service this morning. Bro. Milton Martin, one of our missionaries to Mexico, brought the message.

Tonight he will be wearing a full tribal dress. It should be interesting.

If I'm not too tired when we get home, I will stop in and say good night.

Nice day at church, I think. I just feel...WEIRD today! I'm mad and I don't know why. I woke up that way!

But I'm not mad at anyone or anything. Like I said, WEIRD!

Nothing too exciting to report. I forgot to start dinner and it's corned beef, so now it'll be almost bedtime before dinner, but that's ok to do once in a while!

Had a momentary panic attack...someone let me borrow a book and asked for it back and I had kept it in one place, but remembered that I put it somewhere else in order to make sure it was safe, and I'd forgotten where. So I said "sure, give me a minute and I'll run it right over" and then I thought "ok, there's no good reason to not have it, what do I do when a minute is over and I don't have it?" Just as my heart rate when up to panic mode I remembered where I put it. LOL

Gotta love moments like that in life!

Not like I'd get shot over it or anything, but like I said, I feel WEIRD today!

    Gina,

I remember last year I told my first period I woke up out-of-sorts/mad and it was for no reason. I was forewarning them :D , but I did ask if any of them had ever felt that way and they all said they had. We had a great discussion.

I do wish I never woke up feeling mad at the world and every one in it. Doesn't happen often, but that is happens at all is just too often.

    Evening folks,

Church was good again tonight. Our youth choir (5-10 yrs of age) sang and each one was dressed in the costume of a different country. It was really cute!

Next Sunday is our last service for the Missionary Conference and we are having our annual Missionary Banquet where we have tables set up for food from different countries. I'm cooking German this year but I don't know what yet. I will let the lady in charge of the German table tell me what she needs.

We are under another tornado warning, so I am getting off of here. 'Tis the season...

    Pleasant dreams all!

Good evening folks! Trust that you all had a blessed day in the house of the Lord today. [IMG]

We had a guest speaker, a former member of our church (who was saved in our church), and now pastoring a Baptist Church in Germantown, Ohio. His topic was "M&M Christians." We were just curious where he will wind up, but at the end we were pleasantly surprised. [IMG]

One of his highlight was when he presented a bag of M&M chocolate candies. Earlier in his sermon he emphasized the priority of the believer's life: 1) God first, 2) Spouse second, 3) Children and family third, and 4) Work last.

He held up the M&M candy bag and referred to his sermon outline (Mary & Martha), two ways to approach God. Then he turned the bag around and the letter "M"s became letter "W"s. He then said, Mary chose the "Worship," while Martha chose "Work." Ultimately both are important, but in our busy lives we sometime forget to spend time in worship - because work robs us of time. I thought the message had a point. And by the way, after the evening service Bro. Ted took out a large plastic bag full of M&M candy bags, which he distributed amoung those present!

Sorry Gina, but since you were not present, you forfeited your right in having any of those chocolate candies. [IMG]

Have a good night all! [IMG]

We had a great message this morning on five statements used to put off salvation. Wonderful message!

After services, we had 9 to get baptized!! What a wonderful way to profess your faith in Christ Jesus.

Linda and I did not get to church services tonight. Linda does not drive at night and I am too blind to drive at all. Our ride that usually picks up for Sunday evening and Wednesday evening services did not come by to get us tonight. She may have overslept.

I'll just have to slide out quietly in my shame.
(and make sure I show up the next time there's chocolate!)

Boy Howdy from WINTER. Ugly day of snow (we're at 10 inches since early Sunday morning) and cold (we're at 11F and dropping).

We had a couple families gone today (one had surgery a couple days ago; one is in DC) but still 24 in church.

And REVELED IN GRACE like a bunch of 2nd graders jumping in the snow and making angels. Oh, how God is good!

All the songs were on the same theme (I preached on Rom 5:15-17 on the "much more" of Jesus's grace compared to Adam's sin).

What kind of grace? Marvelous, infinite, matchless grace . . .

Oh to grace how great a debtor daily I'm constrained to be. Have to be. It's in me to revel in His grace and I just can't help it! [IMG]

    Morning all:

It's 70 degrees here with a heat index of 74. There is a severe thunderstorm warning two or three counties above us on the state line in KY. We are supposed to have strong storms this afternoon and evening and a very strong possibility of tornadic activity. I'm going to try and clean out the garage some so that we can get the cars in tonight.

Left a case of Diet Dr. Pepper on the counter for ya'll.

    Have a great day!

    Good morning all,

    Tony: Thanks for the DDP!

We are still having bad weather. I went to bed under a tornado warning and woke up under a tornado watch. We are also under a heavy wind advisory until sometime tomorrow.

We are about 30 miles from Springfield and they got hit hard last night by a tornado. Almost the whole town was without power and that is a LARGE city!

It is flooding in Indiana, but I haven't heard of any deaths.

Missouri got hit Saturday AND Sunday. I believe the death count is up to three now and many more people injured. A lot of homes were lost.

I kept my cell phone on and next to my bed all night, but haven't received a call yet that my granddaughter is in the hospital. She is due to have my first greatgrandson today...

    HAGD!

    Good Morning Everyone!

Sue, you know the days that come after the due date are alway the hardest! He'll come just when you've about given up, just like Cassie did. A week after her due date, I was on the phone with a friend who of course asked me if there was any sign yet. I told her no, that I figured this baby was going to wait another week or two. I hadn't even had any false labor pains. She was born the next morning at 10:02!

It's a migraine day today. All these weather changes! Sent both Cassie and Christopher to with one. I doubt very much they'll make it through the day. If they make to 11:30, I'll be happy. At 11:30 they can leave for the day without being counted absent.

I have curtains to make today for a customer, a garden bed that needs cleaning and just a bit of house cleaning to do. I'm on my third cup of coffee so I should have plenty of energy to get it done with!

Since I drained the pot, I put a new one on. There's a loaf of raisin bread on the counter if anyone wants toast.

    See ya around!

    Good morning!

We are having beautiful weather here again, but it will be short lived -- whatever y'all are getting up north is fighting it's way down here apparently.

I'm planning on working on my online class today. It's coming along nicely -- getting close to publishing.

mk -- I'll be praying for your sweet babies today. Weather changes are the pits.

Sue -- keep us posted on that baby!

I got energetic this morning and made a breakfast casserole. It's in the fridge, so scoop you up some and pop it in the microwave for a minute!

Just popping in for a second. I've been trying to locate a tree service, but all of them are in Springfield cleaning up damage from the tornado.

I have a LARGE tree limb that has a 4 foot split in it (from the wind last night) and we are having 30mph winds again today. It needs removed ASAP.

If it falls, we will be buying the guy next door a new roof along with a new living room and bedroom or we will be buying ourselves a new roof and a new kitchen.

It's swinging and I doubt it will make it through the day...

    TTFN!

Sue, if all else fails, call the city or the power company(if it's close to the lines). I know here they'll come out occasionally in stormy weather to prevent more damage from happening. Of course all your power co people are all in Springfield, so they might not be much help.

Your insurance co might be of some help also, since they'll have to pay a claim if it falls where it shouldn't.

Thanks for the prayers MC. So far so good.....

Boy Howdy, and thanks for the donuts. Living 300 miles from the nearest Krispy Kreme, I do get cravings . . .

Sue, saw the weather channel last night and looked like that super-cell was heading between you and Springfield.

Part of me prayed for safety for the people, and part prayed for a storm to wipe out all traces of that evil Lincoln guy from the region . .

Today we did NOT go to Gillette. It is 13F and bright sunshine here; 11 inches total snow but will be in the 40's tomorrow and it will be gone. But the roads had 50+ wrecks overnight (and remember, you all have more roads in your county than we do in our state). Just staying put.

And shoveling. Hot cuppa tea break and then out to beat down a drift in the driveway!
