Here is a picture I just took. You can see the guys, in the bucket, on the left hand side. They are up high, but still about 70 feet from the top of the tree.

Wow! You're going to lose a lot of shade, taking that monster down.

I can't imagine how many berries that thing produced. You're ground must have been squishey with them. Even with what the birds ate, my little one dropped gobs of them. I hated that tree!

Boy Howdy. Lovely day, warming up nicely to about 40F they say. Snow is melting.

But hard day. Funeral this afternoon for the elder of my former church who died at 48 of an unexpected heart attack. Will not be easy.

Then teach college class on Church history (dealing with scholasticism, the crusades and pre-reformation characters/doctrine) in evening class until 9:30.

May see you all later. TTFN and leave the hot water on for a cup of Calli when I return late night . . .

Nice photo. I can see why that cat was your favourite.

We have five dogs (4 rescued) and 6 cats. Over the years we have also had goats, horses, ponies and many other animals..mostly rescued. Almost had a sign printed for the front gate: Rescue Ranch.

We have photos of all our animals on the hall walls as one enters our house. Couldn't live without animals in the house.

Now, where did I put wife? *smile*

The first nite we had Tucker, our new puupy, he jumped into bed with me, put his head on my chest, and got ready to sleep. Phyllis was not having this, and said "if the dog sleeps with you, I don't".

I said, "I'm thinking......"

Tucker had to sleep on the floor. But I think I'm really going to like having a dog around. Our home isn't big enough to have any more animals.

Bro. Curtis, Vivian and I are considering getting a dog or two. Our neighbors dogs like to bark all night, but in a way that is a good thing as far out as we live. It warns us of intruders. The other night, they were barking up a storm shortly after Vivian left for work (3 am) and when I went to the front door, there was someone running away from our house. Apparently they had been peeking in the neighbors house and ours. They haven't been caught yet, but, one of the neighbors did manage to get a shot off into the air with a blank! Bet that creep won't be coming back any time near soon! I'd like to have an Akita or Mastiff. We've also considered a Boxer or a Dobie!

Afternoon all!
I'll settle for Sam. She lets us know when anyone..(including other cats/critters) are around.
Bro C I'm the one that had a hard time adjusting to sleeping with a dog. When we got Sam she was 6wks & a cuddly pup. 3 yrs later she was still inside(which don't bother me) & mostly sleeping in the bed with us. About 90lbs. of teeth at my feet. At least she would stay at the foot of the bed & try to fit between our jumbled legs! She's always wanted to stay close to momma, which is what I wanted anyway. Now she's outside & loving it. Agee still brings her in if she "feels" uncomfortable some days, but again, no bother.
Now there were the times...like a yungun' she would try to sneak inbetween us in the bed....just part of having a mutt!!!!

Did someone steal yurn's faces?..Gives a new meaning to the term facelift!
Going in the morning to check on a job...cleaning a church here in town!! This wouldn't be thru our business, but would be an employee of the church. I looked around some today waiting to see if the Pastor was coming back...it's a pretty big set of buildings. Anyway hope I get it, I NEED to spend more time in Church!!!
Putting BH out & she's wound up again...guess I'm gonna have to quit wrestling with her till so late!

sfic, we love Shepherds. We've had several. My sister has one right now that has won many ribbons worldwide. He was made a police dog and is now "retired". Arthritis got the better of him. I know his name if "Filo". We are going to start looking this weekend.

Morning all:

It's 35 here this morning. Viv had frost on the car window and wasn't really excited about seeing it there again! She's gotten off work late every day this week and has been irritable about a lot of things. They are having her do another "grades" work, but not giving her the pay for that grade level. But, I told her that the Lord knows what is going on. She was a little more resigned to that fact this morning.

Mom is traveling to Augusta today by plane. Please pray for her. I believe she's going down to help my sister, Becky, who just moved there from Waycross, GA. Becky just took a new job with State Farm and is in two or three weeks of training. They have forbidden her to sell real estate, so she's giving it up to get a steady paycheck and insurance. Can't say that I blame her. I know she does want mom to help with the girls while she's training.

Good morning folks,

Well the tree is down and it came down safely. That is one thing off my mind! The neighbor now has a peek-a-boo privacy fence. I didn't realize that he had built his fence around the tree. LOL

It is supposed to be sunny and 52º today so I'm hoping we can get our yard raked.

I'm still waiting on that baby to make an appearance! Maybe today...

I hope I get my face back today!

Hey Sue, are you sure that was YOUR tree?

It is chilly here this morning too, but very little frost. Normally this temp wouldn't be chilly to me, but my arthritis has flared up and I can barely move. Cool temps always bother me when my arthritis flares.

The arthritis is so bad at the moment that I've been forced to make a doctor's appointment. Chris woke up long enough to take migraine meds and then went back to sleep. Hopefully, he'll wake up feeling better so I can take him to school before my appointment. This is really a bummer, me being sick. I don't have time to be down! Sigh...such is life.

I'll be in and out, but mostly out cause I have curtains to make today too.
