We still have a lot of snow on the ground, but the wind has abated somewhat. The blizzard warning is no longer in effect.

Everyone is in bed but me and I'm heading there now.

Pleasant dreams all!

Good grief!
I don't even know what I'm doing today! My brain is mis-firing right and left and trails of confused people are laying around everywhere after having crossed my path.

I had a spur of the moment inspiration to work on something, but there's too much noise going on here, so now I'm doing NOTHING.

Morning all:

Viv went out to the car amidst snow flurries today. Though there was none on the ground, there was a dusting on the driveway and the car. It's 30 here with a wind chill in the mid 20's. So much for "Spring".

We're ready for this week to be over. It's been a long one so far. People haven't shown up at Dell for the past two or three days, and things are getting a little "hairy" to say the least. Viv's had to do several jobs at once, and it's been hard. She's come home every night almost ready to just go to bed....Now they're telling her that next week, and next month will be lots of overtime. She's not complaining, and neither am I. It's just hard on her.

We're thinking about visiting Franklin Road Baptist Church on Sunday. The only other option we see at this time is Middle Tennessee Baptist Church with Tony Hutson (his dad was Curtis Hutson, Sword of the Lord Publisher before his death). Would appreciate your prayers. We never thought we'd go back to an Independent Baptist Church, but, that's what it looks like the Lord wants us to do.

Ya'll have a wonderful day. Be good, Be kind, Be careful.

Bro. T

Good morning,

It is a cold 21º here this morning but the sun is suppose to shine, so maybe we can get rid of some of this snow.

I'm still waiting on the tree service to replace the two sections of fence they broke when taking the trees down!

Nothing much going on here until it warms up. Just home schooling, cleaning and cooking as usual...

Time for coffee,

What's this new corner the CGCH has turned? I'm gone for a few days and come back to womenfolk picking outfits for MC, Sue's in labor for who-knows-how-many hours. I think the estrogen level has just about spiked in here ladies!

MC says:
Ron was with me. He kept pointing out low cut or short skirted things -- You could wear that hehe, he'd say. Men! He was actually helpful when he quit being silly.
MK adds
They never grow up, do they Bitsy?
Now listen here, girls, if your menfolk are looking at you when they say something about your outfit that means that they are paying attention. If they are looking elsewhere they are bored and want to go to the BassPro Shop! Now MC, if you can pull off something low or short without looking like 10 pounds of potatoes stuffed into a five pound sack I'd say, "Go for it!" (BTW: I like #2)

MK, if us menfolk "grew up" then we just wouldn't be the person y'all fell in love with in the first place. You'd be sitting in the pastor's office getting all snotted up and whining, "He's just not the man I fell in love with!" Well, about the thirtieth time a guy hears, "Will you just grow up...." You know, if trout season wasn't so close we might even have issues

My little Bubba (21-year-old daughter) is intending on getting hitched in a year or so. This dirtbag scum-eatin' bottom feeder of a boyfriend asks me for my daughter's hand in marriage. I told him that was a terrible question to be asking with me unarmed. She wants to get married at our camp either by the bass pond or in the woods by the creek (pronouced crik). Once we got sorting through all the seasons of the year (duck, goose, turkey, deer, bear, coyote, varying hare, spring turkey, trout, bass and back to duck) and how that affects the availability of camp; she just throws her hands into the air and says, "Just forget the whole stupid thing!" Thank you, Bubba, I just might do that.

Hey padre! You're gonna have to stop by more often and keep us in line.

Those labor pains are hard on a Great Granny!

How else would we know how to dress if we didn't ask our girlfriends?

I hope Bubba picks the biggest, most expensive wedding she can find (of course no one will come if it is hunting season-which pretty much lasts all year...)!

Now you COULD have the wedding in a blind and have the wedding party and guests all wear camouflage.

Gina will be fine. Here home state is Confusion! She just resides temporarily in Oregon....LOL

She did have me going yesterday, though. She was helping me unload groceries and started wandering around the kitchen literally in circles. She was putting things from one counter onto another counter and then (I think but I'm not sure about this one) back again. I started cracking up. She was nervous about a take-home final and did not know what to cook the kids for dinner. So we had them over but I was cooking something they didn't like (fish soup) and so they ate the French bread and left half-way through a movie (picnic on the family room floor) and now I see where she was still wandering in circles in her mind later!

I bet she got her take-home final done just fine, though. That's her. Organized confusion...LOL.

Horses got their hooves trimmed and filed this morning, Barry has a dental appointment soon, and Bible study here tonight. So I really ought to get up and get going with the cleaning up around here....just as soon as I finish this apple....

Organized confusion. LOL That about sums me up! I did this at the end of the last quarter too. I'm an illogical normality I tell ya!

MC, what did you choose to wear? Did I miss it?

Padre, real men don't need to arm themselves. They're already armed.

Ok, I gotta tell you about this because it was funny. Last night I went to open the sliding glass door in my bedroom and heard a big loud "crrroooooaakkkk"! I was thinking "that cannot be a frog, but what else croaks?!"
It sounded like it was coming from the doghouse. Brave soul that I am, I got the dog and sent her in. She looked confused, but walked in, sat down a minute, and came back out. So my Anna walks out wondering what's going on, I tell her, and she goes "OHHH maybe it's a frog!" and leaps over to the doghouse pulling out the blankie. I tell her to stop because it could be something else and she says "if it's something else it'll run away, and besides that, frogs make frog sounds!"

Logical little creature.
It wasn't in there though. It must have been under, or gotten away by the time the commotion ended, but if that was a frog it was a BIG BIG BIG frog to be that loud!

Yes, I know frogs don't attack people, before someone asks! There's a first time for everything though, right?

Ok, this added a bit of humor to my night. I turned in my portfolio for one class on Monday. She said she'd have it back today, and she did. Along with everyone elses.

Mine was 54 pages, (I think that was about the length of everyone's) and I wondered if she'd REALLY read it or just skim it. So to check...I inserted a joke in an inconspicous spot, and in another, told her it was late and asked why she was still reading it instead of going to bed.

Not only did she read all of it, she commented in a number of places, including both the joke and the comment! (told me her husband was out of town and my work was good material to put her to sleep, LOL)

I'm very impressed. HOW in the world did she go through everyone's and manage to make that many comments, and not just light ones, intelligent ones!

Three cheers for all teachers out there! You're amazing.

Good evening to all.

Daughter number two (twin of daughter number one) let us know about a week ago - that she and her husband are expecting their first on or about September 26.

If I followed Sue's lead - that would make me Dan Todd 7 :D :D

Daughter number one (and her husband) has stopped at two.
Only son and his lovely wife are holding at four.

Considering that I had begun to think that daughter number two would never get in the family way (it took over seven years) - I'd say it's a winning hand!

For me and Viv, that leave us right where we are/were, and will always be....Aunt and Uncle! ;)

No kids for us. Just the kids we had as foster parents.

Morning all:

It's 32 and cold, cold, cold and getting colder!

I have been up off and on all night unable to breath. Vivian thinks that I have pneumonia and wants me to go to the doctor's office so they can leach some more money out of us. For some reason, I just don't trust doctors! ;) It will pass in a week or so. (Guy thing...ignore it and it will go away, right?? )

Anyhow, there was frost covering the whole car but the front windshield! As we came out onto the front porch, the part of the moon that was still visible hid behind the clouds and there was an eerie haze around all of it. The owl that lives in the trees across the road kept hooting at us, and the neighbors cat decided it wanted to go and try to find the owl! More power to the kitty!

I think I'll try to go back to bed. I got 1 1/2 hours sleep last night and am a walking zombie right now. Besides, the words on the monitor are moving around on me, and that's not a good sign!

Be good, Be kind, Be careful, especially you Great Grandparent types!
