Morning all:

Gina & Sue: Viv acts like that when she cooks. She's in hog heaven when we have the fridge & freezer all stocked up and she can pull out a roast or ribs or even a chicken and cook it up!
You'd think she was Paula Deen!

Not much going on here this morning. We decided last night that we're not going to our family reunion next week. It would be too hard for us to get down there and then get back in time for our Sunday night class. We were going to try, but with a visit to the pain clinic next Thursday, it's going to be impossible. Plus, there may be overtime, and right now, Viv just can't and won't pass it up.

RN...welcome!

Gayla: The Kia dealers and the Hyundai dealers aren't much different from each other since one is the parent company of the other. Hyundai messes up our Sonata all the time and then has to fix it back the way it's supposed to be. Just make sure you get all of your paperwork for work performed, because they have a bad habit of not wanting to give it to people. We still haven't received the paperwork for some work done last month. Guess I need to call them again and ask where it is.

mk: bathrooms aren't a safe place. Kids will ALWAYS find their way in!

Have a great day all.

If I head to the hallway, one of my cats will go ahead of me, stick his paw in, and open the bathroom door for me! Then he wants to be scratched while I'm in there. That's hard to do while you're brushing your teeth! :D

I can't put any chemicals in my bathroom stool, because Oreo, my cat, will walk right past his fresh bowl of water and drink out of the stool!

I've tried walking past him, while he's doing this, and 'accidentally' pushing him in (what makes me think he would know if it was an accident or not? ) but he always catches himself.

Hi Tony and Debby!

I've been taking a lot of deep breaths this week. 8th grade program, field day, Joe's wedding. I probably look like I can't catch my breath.

Hey, Ron! I had 'running' to do!

Besides, you usually bring the doughnuts and when you don't, then it is more work for me and I can't check in as often to chat...

Bitsy! You don't even want to know what's on my plate from now until Wednesday. I'm moving as fast as I can.

Gayla, I'll pray for you. I'd send you earplugs if there was time. Cramped kids=constant bickering.  On second thought, you probably be better off with tranquilizers instead---for the kids! (benedryl works nicely :D )
My kids would want me to accompany them to the outhouse, that's for sure!!

I already had Benadryl on my shopping list! We use it so they'll calm down enough for ALL of us to get some sleep.

We're going to Stone Mountain, the kids call it "The Big Rock".
We've got them some ear muff type hearing protection so maybe this year they'll actually watch the Laser Spectacular without trying to choke mommy and daddy because they are scared of the fireworks' loud BooMinG noises!!

I also found some of the "Glow Stick" things at the Dollar Tree. Sure beats five or six bucks for one little item at the Park!! They'll each have a 4" stick, a 10" stick and 3 bendable ones.
Today I went to a different Dollar Tree and got each of them a battery powered light wand that's about 10" and has "7 different light patterns". Not bad for a total of $6!

I gotta start packing, if I don't get back tonight, y'all have a good weekend. See ya Monday night or Tuesday morning.

Evening folks,

My family will start arriving tomorrow morning. I am excited!

Grandson is being ordained as a Youth Pastor tomorrow night and another Grandson graduates Sunday afternoon. Our big family picnic is Monday.

Brent and I are watching "Return to Snowy River" and then we're going to bed.

Pleasant dreams all!

Well, my baby has left me!

For a week that is! Cassie has gone on a cruise with T's parents. This is the first time she will have been away from me for this long. I'm not sure I can stand it.

I tell you, we could use a bit of the snow off Sue's movie. It was 90 here today and snow cream would be good! I guess I'll have to settle for regular icecream.

Speaking of, T's parents left their little dog with us for the week and she loves popscicles! She's been following the moving snack machines around all evening just waiting for them to let down their guard so she can sneak in and grab a bite of whatever they have!

My inlaws get my perfectly behaved daughter and I get the dog. Anybody else see a problem with this?

Morning all!

Hey RN! Welcome to the Coffee House! Lots of good fellowship in here!

MK, I don't really like to cook either.

We made it to Wilmington. Brandon was an hour late getting in because of storms.

The rehearsal is at 9:15 this morning! Odd timing. Not exactly a match for the rehearsal dinner ;)

I can't believe how long it takes four little ole cups of coffee to perk in one of those little ole hotel coffee pots!

We are staying at the Hilton on the Cape Fear. View is beautiful. Bed was wonderfully comfy.

Have a great day friends,
Bitsy

Good morning all,

Bitsy, you should have had a rehearsal 'brunch'. ;)

It is going to be in the 90's again today and through Monday with an occasional thunderstorm all three days.

Pastor Bob and family should be here any minute.

I've got a lot of cooking to get done today, and the ordination tonight, so I won't be around much.

Time for coffee,

Morning all:

Hi, Bitsy. Cape Fear is beautiful.

Got a quick prayer request...I usually don't post them in the prayer section...seems like not many people read there. I have an appointment on the 9th of June with an oncologist & hemotologist. It could be nothing, or it could be something. I'm looking at it like this....I'm not going to worry about the outcome. It wouldn't do any good anyhow. But, do and would appreciate prayers. If I'm not on for the next few days, it will be because I'm pre-occupied with the paperwork involved and the prep for tests.

The sun is already shining like crazy here this morning. It's foggy in the fields and on the country roads. Viv's working today, so this is going to be a strange Saturday for me. We usually are gone by 8:30 am and in Shelbyville doing our shopping, going to the dump, and everything else.
Guess that will be tomorrow, though.

It rained and hailed here last night off an on for several hours. There was some minor flooding, but it didn't reach the homes here. We're supposed to possibly get more of the same this afternoon, as well as temps in the lower 90's.

Hope ya'll have a wonderful day!

Good morning Viet Nam! Wat, wasn't that a picture show?

Tony, keep looking up and out. Remember what a former president once said, "We have nothing to fear except fear itself." You have a lot more in which to trust than did he.

Must be delightful to have the whole family gather in one place. I know I find it great when the two granddaughters come here for holidays......glad when they return home too!

Cheers everyone! Enjoy the day.

Oh, Jim, it IS wonderful!

Pastor Bob and family have arrived from Kansas. My daughter, Laura, and family will be coming over from Indiana. My DIL, and grandchildren will be coming down from Wisconsin. Then I have a daughter and grandchildren in Lincoln, and married grandchildren from two other towns in Illinois.

I will have all 16 of my grands there, plus one great and daughters, sons, dil's, and sil's (and hubby, of course).

It is going to be a grand time at the picnic!

Before the board shuts down for maintenance, I want to wish you all a nice Memorial Day.

Howdy everyone!

Today is find the house day! Between all the end of year school activities and getting Cassie off, this house hasn't gotten touched. So today's the day. Next week will be spent getting the rest of us ready to go to Washington DC.

So....if ya'll don't see me until the board is back up, have a good Memorial Day!

He will eat way more than I do! He doesn't get his Mama's cooking that often anymore...

I checked in here but expected the Board to be down.

It was supposed to close down last night and reopen sometime Monday.

11 grandkids just left and I'm cooling down before I start chopping onions and green peppers for my Bucket Salad.

HAGD!

How does everyone like the new BB format? It's gonna take some getting used to!!

I'm off to cook some potato salad for our cookout tonight.

Have a Happy Memorial Day, everyone.
