I've been scanning pictures that were pre-digital. I've got our wedding album scanned now.

First, I cannot believe how yellow they've gotten in a mere 26 years.
Second, I cannot believe how young we were. *sigh*

I made a web page, but it is so static. I'm looking for something that can keep the feel of my webpage with the black and white pix and be more interactive than just a table of pictures. I'm tired of experimenting. My brain has been stretched to something near the edge of it's stretchability. So, I'm going to leave it for now and come back. I haven't loaded the page or I'd link it, but I am going to put a wedding pix up for my avatar for a time.

I am NOT a happy camper!

I had brewed a fresh pot of sweet tea (with caffeine) and set out a nice bowl of M&M's so I could dig in when I got home from the hospital... I mean my mouth was watering (after I got the nuclear medicine taste out it).

The test went well, but I laid off the caffeine (chocolate) for the wrong 24 hours! So NOW I have to lay off of it for the next 24 hours too!

That's 48 hours without chocolate!!! That alone could give me cardiac arrest! What's wrong with these people???

How about a nice Sprite Zero? They are caffiene free and no calories.

Preacher, I did what you suggested and one side was covered in doggie hair. The other side was clear so I'm not sure that was the problem. Pipes? You expect me to crawl under my deck enough to feel pipes. There's bugs under there!

**whew** That was too close folks!
We just got back home, we had to take cover because several tornados were sighted to the west of us moving in our direction.
Lots of flooding, trees and wires down all around our little village, but it looks like no injuries.
We live in a mobile home, so when the TV, and my police scanner sounded off with "take cover" we headed for shelter. My best friend has a house about 10 miles south of us that has a basement, so we headed over there.
I've lived here 20 years and I'm still afraid of tornados.
PRAISE THE LORD! HE IS IN CONTROL.

Sorry it's so long getting back. We've been doing repairs ourselves. Working on a window unit made back in 78!! But tomorrow it should be ready to put in a window.
Anyway....would ya rather have someone charge ya 75.00 to crawl under the deck for ya? Just take a broom & knock all the webs & junk outta the way!! If ya do it,(or talk yur hubby into it) fel the pipes, & look to see if there is water dripping out of a plastic pipe that should be next to the others on the outside wall. If there is no water you have a clog somewhere..& that will keep it from coolin' right too. Actually, if your air handler is in the attic you can do this up there too.

One of my air handlers is in the attic and I wasn't going up there either. It was 102 degrees here today! I'm suprised the attic didn't spontaneously combust!

Why they put that handler in that attic is beyond me. The way our house is built we have 3 attics. One is over the garage and is easily accessible. But they didn't put it in that one. Nooooo they put it in the attic that is over the second floor and accessilble only by a hole in the cieling of one of the kids closets! I don't know how they ever got it up there unless they did it during construction! Hope it never has to be replaced!

Preacher, my units are so old, I have the have the guy out twice a year just to check to be sure the bubblegum is still holding the things together! The usual culprit is a coolant leak, but today we got off fairly easy with the coils being stopped up with dog hair inside the unit where my broom doesn't reach.

Friend of God, you had a tornado in Michigan? I guess that explains why you thought it would be safe to drive TEN miles to hide out in a basement. (I was born in Michigan and only remember one tornado ever in the years we lived there. That one was in '74 or '75)

You know there are two things tornados really like to blow to bits right? The first is mobile homes. The second is folks in CARS! You do not go driving in a tornado. You gotta find a safe place closer to where you live.

ROB: Maybe I should call my SIL and check on her. She is my brother's widow and in her 70's. She lives in Grand Rapids.

I am telling the doctor tomorrow that I want an Rx for CT's. A little humor while I'm radioactive can't hurt. :smilewinkgrin:

PADRE: It's odd because I have never been particularly fond of chocolate. I just developed this 'thing' for M&M's with peanuts about a month ago and I just gotta have a few after every meal (and a few in between every meal)... :tongue3:

I'm off to bed. I need to get up around 5:00 to be at the hospital in time for the test.

There is just something that doesn't sound right about a doctor trying to induce a heart attack!

MK,,,if there is a firewall in the attic between the garage & house (which there should be) they proably put the unit in before the wall, & it would come out the same way.
I put a window unit in the LR this morning & hope to have the other in tomorrow morn. to help out our central unit. It's not big enough to keep the house cool in this 90's weather. Was 80 int the LR yesterday & I ain't gonna have my Honey or BH have to deal with that. Our landlord is supposed to have things changed, but he's real slow bout getting things done. Not cause he's cheap...I believe he just stays too busy to remember what he tells everyone.
I have to go up int the attic early here to lay some plywood so we can store more stuff (mostly spelled j-u-n-k), & what my Agee wants..she gets...most of the time anyway!!!

MK, I never heard of putting stuff like that up in an attic until I moved out here. It was always in the basement. Out here they don't have basements! Out THERE, if you didn't have a basement, good luck during storm/tornado season!

Speaking of which, I'm glad you're ok Rob. Those things are scary! I've had a couple close calls, and am glad to be out of range of that type of weather.

Sue, I feel your pain. Chocolate deprivation is just wrong. Enjoy being radio-active. My youngest had to have so many tests that I began refusing any with radiation, even simple x-rays, and made them find alternative ways of getting their info. I was started to think that with another x-ray or two, I could start using the poor thing for a night light!

Morning all:

FoG, hope all up there is okay and nobody was hurt. I lived in Illinois for years growing up, and we had many, many tornado's. I finally got to where I liked trying to follow them and wanted so bad to become a professional tornado watcher. I hate all the destruction they cause, but, some of them are just a wonder to behold!

Sue, hope your testing went well.

Gina L, I will, Lord willing, be contacting you via email within the next few days.

Jim, do you think there will be a split in the Anglican Church? I've been reading a lot about this new head bishop in the USA and her opinions and positions on the issues facing the church. It's bothersome. If we need to discuss via another thread, please let me know if you start one.

It's very hot here this morning. It's almost 80 degrees F, and a heat index of 85, and that's just at 5:06 am. It's supposed to be nearly 100 here today, heat indexes between 110 and 120. There are air quality alerts, so I know that I won't be going outside. I had to have 4 breathing treatments yesterday and use my FAI 2x. It was frightening. I thought I was going to have to call 911 at 1pm. But, it finally subsided somewhat.

Yesterday would have been my FIL's 77th b-day had he lived this long, and it was six years from the day my father passed away. It was a hard day for both of us.

Good morning all,

Well, today is the last test! Woo Hoo! It is the 'stress' part of the stress test. I had the 'resting' part yesterday. The doctor has chosen to use nuclear medicine again today instead of the treadmill because of my recent breathing problems.

I am not looking forward to the reactions it is supposed to bring about, but I'll live through it.....I hope. I am just happy that this will be it - unless they find something wrong.

I had to cut off all food and drink (including water) at midnight last night and boy, am I thirsty! I can have a drink of water in about 3 hours.

In 4 to 4½ hours, I should be back home happily munching away on my M&M's and drinking a LARGE glass of sweet tea! Ahhhh, heaven on earth.

I will pick Brent up at church camp tomorrow. The peace and quiet have been nice while taking these tests, but I sure have missed him!

OH NO! I just got a call from the camp and Brent is running 103.6 temp and has been all night.

I need to find someone to pick him up. I don't think I can get over there and back in time for the test.

Please pray everything works out!

Good Morning Everyone!

Sue, call the camp back, have them give Brent some tylenol or advil, go have your test and a glass of tea and then go pick him up. (you'll have to wait for the M&Ms). If he's been running a fever all night and they didn't call you, he'll survive till you get there. Probably he picked up strep from another kid.

Preacher, there are no fire walls between our garage and the house. I can crawl clear from the garage end attic of my house all the way to the living room end attic. There is a small passage between the two sections, otherwise the livingroom attic would be completely inaccessible. It's unusable as it is. You can't get from the garage attic/livingroom attic into the upstairs attic. My house is wierd. It was built in three "sections". In between the garage section and the livingroom section is the two story main house section. On the first floor is the kitchen, master br, dr, and foyer(with two story cathedral cieiling). On the second floor are two br, a bath and a huge closet that takes up most of the space that connects the garage attic with the lr attic. Above all that is the attic that has the air handler.

Speaking of attics, this heat is keeping me from cleaning mine out and storing a bunch of stuff. I have to do that before I can clean out the garage(which wouldn't be to big of a job if I could get all the stuff up in the attic!).

It is much cooler in the house today, so I guess the air guy did something right. The truth will tell when the outside temp hits 100.

Gotta go start the sprinklers!
