Good morning everyone!

Welcome Bear!

It is freezing in my house. No that not a reflection on cooler outside temps although it is a bit cooler out there. No, it is freezing in my house because the same ghost who is alway turning off the upstairs air, turned the downstair air DOWN to 45 degrees!

I'm stuck with T's truck today as his ABS light came on yesterday and he won't have time to check the cause until Friday. My knees hate driving his truck. I guess it's a good thing I don't have to go anywhere much today or tomorrow! :D

My ear is much, much better today and I'm out of the drug haze that knocked me out for most of yesterday. I only took a child's dose of decongestant! I guess it was worth it though, cause I hate going to the doctor worse than I hate being knocked out by the decongestant.

So it is back to spring/summer cleaning today. I may gather my forces and put them to laboring as well. I have walls that need washing and woodwork that needs lemon oil!

Course I have to get my workforce to wake up first...........

I see things are up & runnin...sorta!
Sue...BH said thanks! In reality she's pacin the cage wantin out to help me with the entertainment center. Yep, finally got it all put together last nite, now I just have to put the TV, Stereo , & all the other bits of technology in it & get it all wired back up & lookin neat. I know thats why BH wants out...she sees all them there wires!!! But being tho ole' softie I am she'll be out soon.
I've been out of work again the past couple weeks, been so busy round here I haven't looked that much. My right shoulder has been giving me a fit & I don't know what I've done to it. If I move in certain ways it feels like someone stuck a knife in it. Didn't have any trouble pickin up the TV though...& it weighs 150+. The cabinet part is all particle board & its a booger!!
Well gotta get back to the party...want to try to have it done for my Honey gets off work!!

Today I got the roman shades for the guest room almost finished -- they are hanging now, but I've got to pull them back down and put the pull stuff on them.

AND I cleaned the refridgerator inside and out. Kitchen resembled a kiddie pool for a bit :tongue3:

Hi, Bitsy! Looks like we are in the same mode! I cleaned my fridge, too.

When my son gets married, I will be doing his room over and turning it into a guest room. I'm thinking about painting his furniture black. I dunno. Can't decide.

I've been looking at Pottery Barn catalogs, and the black furniture really has caught my eye. Maybe I'll give it a try. I'll have to find fabric, too.

The wedding plans are really coming along nicely! My future dil bought her dress! We are so excited! And they have chosen china, crystal, etc. Very lovely--quite elegant and simple. She has good taste--after all, she's marrying my son! Ha!

Have a good evening. Gotta go do the dishes.

I cleaned half the fridge...the other day. The other half is coming up. LOL The kitchen right now looks like a bakery exploded inside of it, but I haven't baked anything. I let the kids try to make noodles. (two days in a row, they all wanted to try)

I'm waiting patiently to get into the RR for a shower before bible study. I stood under the sprinkler to see if it would work good enough until after the study when I could take one in peace, but nope, I still smell like a wet dog in a park on the 4th of July.

Dan,
If you all would pray for Kelly and Elizabeth, and their children - we would appreciate it.

I will be praying for them. I've seen from the News that the Eastern seaboard is taking a beating with all the rain. I pray the Lord give youall some relief from the downpours, we've got other parts of the nation in a drought.

Thanks for the Welcome from the rest of you! Whew! I still can't get over how many post youall have. A hint here, I like to read more than post, so I guess I will stay with a small number,

Cleaning the fridge is sooo last week! :D

Nah, I'm just jealous because after I thought about it, I realized I really didn't feel like doing anything today. So mostly I didn't unless you count grocery shopping (only spent $50) and going to karate tonight as an accomplishment. I've just been so tired today, even without the stupid decongestant. Tired but not sleepy, how's that for a contradiction?

Bear, look at how long some of us have been here, before you think it's impossible!

Oh well, time for bed!

I am up wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too late!

I drove to Springfield to get my military ID card renewed and had to wait for two hours.

Plus, I had to park about 3/4 of a block away.

When I got back to Lincoln, I decided to pick up the temporary handicap placard (that my doctor had recommended last week) for my car.

With the COPD, I can't walk very far without getting winded and needing my oxygen. I didn't want to park in a handicapped space because I know there are people worse off than me, but I guess sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Anyway, I was tired when I got home so I laid down to take a nap. I slept for 5 hours! I guess I needed it. Now I'm hoping I can get back to sleep and not stay up all night...

Pleasant dreams all!

:wavey: Another day has begun, and we shall see what it brings forth. Looks like the rain may come, and I will end up doing things indoors. Some of the activities include keeping the sofa from levitating. It is a hard job, but someone must do it.

Enjoy your day. It passes only once.

Cheers,

Jim

Thanks, Gina.

My appointment with the cardiologist is July 5th. I should know the date of the catherization when I leave there. I'm assuming it's just a consultation. I really have no idea. He may be ready to do the cath that day. No one tells me anything...

Good morning all,

It is not raining and the city crew is here already to build the form and pour the sidewalk out front. It will be so nice to be able to use the front door again!

Brent is up and wanting breakfast and I have laundry I want to get done this morning.

Time for coffee,

Good Morning Everyone!

Sue, I have laundry to do today as well. Can't get start yet cause a load that got partially dried yesterday is in the dryer and there is another load already washed in the washer! Not sure exactly how that happened. , but it is slowing me down.

Then again, I have a book that is suffering from being unread. I hate to think anything is suffering in my house so I may join Jim in hard labor today! :tongue3:

Ya'll have a good day!

Today is Thursday, so I'm taking my mama out to eat lunch.

Last night I found out that Blythe's mom is going to come in with them for the weekend. Here I've got half the house a wreck recovering those chairs. The other half is a wreck with pictures to scan laid out in piles all over the place :tongue3:

Could anyone use some water? Central New York is taking a beating. Most of the rivers are running over, all the low lying areas are flooded. The West Canada has gone 5 foot over its flood stage. It runs right through the middle of our town and they've closed the bridge which is a pretty smart thing to do when it is under water. Now we can wave to our friends on the other side but would have to drive 30 miles to shake their hand.

About 1/3 of the village has been evacuated, most all of the next two villages upstream are empty of humans and full of water. I don't know how our church building is doing because nobody can get to that part of town.

Lotsa photos and info at http://www.uticaod.com

Wow padre, that's a lot of water! Reminds me of a Johnny Cash song . . ."How high's the water Papa? Five feet High and risin'."

Haven't been on here much this week.
Welcome bear,:wavey: don't worry about the post count, it took me three years to get the first 1,000.

We're leaving for Oklahoma on Saturday, will get back home sometime Monday the tenth. I've got laundry going and I think I'm just gonna start loading up the suitcases when it's done. I may or may not pop in to say "Hi" while we're gone. Just depends on what we're doing.
