JFK assassination: Trump to allow release of classified documents

President Trump announced on Twitter that he will allow the release of thousands of classified documents about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy after years of delays.

The unexpected move means the trove of never-before-seen documents are set to be released by the National Archives by Oct. 26

Congress mandated in 1992 that all assassination documents be released within 25 years, unless the president asserts that doing so would harm intelligence, law enforcement, military operations or foreign relations. The still-secret documents include more than 3,000 that have never been seen by the public and more than 30,000 that have been released previously, but with redactions.
I want to see the Martin Luther King Jr. files.

Glad these papers are being released, and this happened before I was born.

Just a guess, Oswald acted alone but he probably had the KGB involved, Ruby could have had the Dallas Police/CIA/any other scary group involved to take out Oswald.

There were multiple ones.

For certain if you include Jack Ruby.

I think LBJ and the CIA were behind it all.

Why Jack Ruby was probably part of the Kennedy conspiracy

"Here are seven reasons Ruby likely killed Oswald as part of the conspiracy to assassinate John F. Kennedy:

1. He said so

“Everything pertaining to what’s happening has never come to the surface. The world will never know the true facts, of what occurred, my motives. The people had, that had so much to gain and had such an ulterior motive for putting me in the position I’m in, will never let the true facts come above board to the world,” Ruby said on film after he shot Oswald.

Asked if these men were in very high positions, Ruby replied, “Yes.”

2. He even suggested Lyndon Johnson ordered him to do it

“When I mentioned about Adlai Stevenson, if he was vice president there would never have been an assassination of our beloved President Kennedy…Well the answer is the man in office now,” Ruby said in 1963.

3. He was a known gangster

Jack Ruby ate at mafia-world restaurateur Joe Campisi’s Dallas restaurant the night before Kennedy was assassinated.

The House Select Committee on Assassinations found in a 1979 report that Ruby knew Chicago mob boss Sam Giancana, a close Kennedy crony and Fidel Castro assassination plot insider who helped Kennedy win Illinois in the 1960 presidential election. Kennedy and Giancana shared the same mistress, Judith Exner. After Kennedy took office, his brother and attorney general Robert Kennedy used the Justice Department to go after organized crime, even saying, “I want that dago Sam Giancana put away for good.”

4. Why was Oswald being led through the basement of Dallas Police Headquarters in plain sight, accessible to the crowd?

Ruby had easy access to Oswald and nobody tried to stop him before he ran up to the alleged Soviet sympathizer, who was walking while being held on both sides by Dallas police detectives Jim Leavelle and L.C. Graves.

“Ruby’s shooting of Oswald was not a spontaneous act, in that it involved at least some premeditation. Similarly, the committee believed it was less likely that Ruby entered the police basement without assistance, even though the assistance may have been provided with no knowledge of Ruby’s intentions,” the House Select Committee on Assassinations found in 1979.

“The committee was troubled by the apparently unlocked doors along the stairway route and the removal of security guards from the area of the garage nearest the stairway shortly before the shooting… There is also evidence that the Dallas Police Department withheld relevant information from the Warren Commission concerning Ruby’s entry to the scene of the Oswald transfer,” according to the committee.

5. Oswald was asking to be silenced

“I’m just a patsy” Oswald shouted to reporters while in custody before being briskly taken away.

6. Richard Nixon recognized Ruby, having hired him at Lyndon Johnson’s request years before

“Nixon said, ‘The damn thing is, I knew this Jack Ruby. Murray [Chotiner] brought him to me in 1947, said he was one of ‘Johnson’s boys’ and that LBJ wanted us to hire him as an informant to the Committee. We did,'” former Nixon operative Roger Stone told The Daily Caller.

“I think Nixon immediately recognized that LBJ was using one his operatives to do ‘clean up’ work on the murder of John Kennedy,” Stone said.

7. The Warren Commission wouldn’t let him talk

“I want to tell the truth, and I can’t tell it here,” Ruby told Supreme Court Chief Justice Earl Warren in June 1964, after Warren and other commission members including Gerald Ford visited Ruby in Dallas. Warren, whose commission was hastily assembled at the behest of President Johnson to quell conspiracy theories, declined to transport Ruby to Washington, D.C. to testify about what really happened."

The problem with Jack Ruby is that he was a liar, a pimp and a minor gangster. There is no reason to believe that he told the truth about anything. As for his access to the basement where Oswald was murdered, that was a case of the Dallas Police Department resembling the keystone cops in their failure to see the problem. At the time, it was said that the reason for the transfer was that the city could have the county pay for the jailing of Oswald by transferring him. As a pimp, Ruby knew how the Dallas police worked. So there is nothing there.

That got off 3 rounds with an Italian rifle? That Reynolds is debatable and that is why I’d like to see the transcripts.
It has Been duplicated numerous times. The rifle used was cheap, but it was a very good rifle. The Carcano was not a pretty rifle, but it was highly functional and reasonably accurate. It is a better rifle than the Mosin Nagant and I have seen the Mosin repeatedly shoot 15" groups at 1000 yards.

No, it was not duplicated many times. In his book "Rush to Judgement" author Mark Lane describes how NRA sharpshooters were not able to duplicate Oswald's supposed feat AT A STATIONARY TARGET NO LESS! This was the cover-up of a century, with even the 'assassin" himself getting killed.

It was a hard shot to make but not impossible.

After having visited the Texas Book Depository and looking out the sixth floor window, the shot to take would have been when the limo was coming TOWARDS the building, not going away from it. That would have been the clear shot for the amateur would be assassin. The Carcano was a piece of crap AND it was determined that the scope was out of alignment.

The most damning give away however was the "single bullet theory". Yes, that single bullet that was supposed to have gone through Kennedy AND Gov. Connelly and was miraculously found on Connelly's stretcher in a PRISTINE condition. Yeah, right. Not to mention that the surgeon who had operated on the Governor was caught on television (yes, the video is still available) after the surgery telling the reporter that this aforementioned bullet HAD NOT been removed from Connelly's body.

This whole thing was a monumental cover-up from beginning to end and I don't know who actually killed Kennedy, but you can be sure it was professionals who did the dirty deed and not the amateur Oswald, the patsy.

You believe wrong. His Marine Corps instructors were quizzed and he was revealed to be an average shot at best. Marine sniper? No.
Correct! Oswald did not have sniper training...but he qualified as a rifleman.

Irregardless, someone shot JFK and I’m curious to see how it really went down.
