Wow! In one post you make false statements about the Constitution Party and Chuck Baldwin, and put all Independent Baptist's into a box.

Do I sense some bitterness and hatred for Independ Baptist's in your post?

What the Constitution Party wants is a President who will stand in front of the nation and declare that life begins at conception, and that the unborn child's life is to be protected by the US Constitution.

Doing that may not end abortion overnight, but it will put the issue in the spotlight where it belongs and will let Congerss, the SCOTUS and the American voters know where the President stands on the issue, and will start the process of ending the American holocaust.

That would be much better than simply saying "we need to reduce abortion" or "make abortions safe and rare". There have been two times the current President has mentioned the issue of abortion, when he was patting himself on the back for signing the PBA ban and when he was asked about it in the debates. Two times in four years, doesn't sound like it's much of an isssue for him to me.

Completely wrong. You're just unwilling to give credit for what he has done.

How is it completely wrong? The PBA ban tells the doctor in order to be legal the must simply deliver the baby to the torso instead of the shoulders before killing the child. How will that safe a life?

If I were President I would make abortion the #1 issue, I would mention it in every address to the nation, I would put it on the top of the priority list. The Congress, the SCOTUS and the American people would KNOW where I stood on the issue. I would do everything I could to enforce the 5th Amendment protection of the unborn child's life.

President Bush has failed to mention the issue of abortion in all of his State of the Union speeches, except to say, "I signed the PBA ban".

The only mention at the convention was a nonsense statement about a "cutlure of life". He even dodged the issue at the debates.

We need a President that will call abortion murder, and won't play politics while thousands of babies are butchered daily in America.

If we are justified in invading another country to stop them from killing thousands of their people, would another country be justified in invading the US to stop us from killing millions of our people?

So all you would do is talk about it? I'm looking for some direct action to actually stop abortion. Something the courts won't block. Do you have anything?

Talking about it would be more that Bush has done. You have to start by talking about it, you have to make it an issue before you can act on it. Bush has failed to even make it an issue over the last four years.

Pa Jim, I was only responding to this remark you made.

The PBA ban has not saved ONE baby.

I believe abortion is murder and that the parents, doctor's, nurses, anesthetists and all who facilitate the abortion should be prosecuted for murder. I would support the death penalty for doctors who perform abortions.

Now... I agree with ballfan. There is no direct action the President can take to stop abortion. No matter whom we elect, abortion will still be legal in Jan. 2005.

Whats Peroutka going to do that the courts won't block? Nothing.

You still fail to give Bush credit. Even for bring up the PBA ban. His approach will work. THe PBA ban has started many people to consider just how evil abortion actually is. It will take time to work.

Bush knew it wouldn't get past the courts when he signed it. It was a smokescreen.

The courts are not the Supreme Law of the land, it's time for the people and the politicians to start standing up to the courts, and not letting them make the laws and dictate how we run our country.

President Bush has shown us all that he can accomplish anything he wants to accomplish. He was the first GOP president to strip out conservative planks from the platform and then get the GOP Congress to join him in doing an about face on the issues.

He is the first GOP president to create new welfare entitlement programs.

He even used a war plan that was written by his administration before he was ever elected and convinced Congress and the American people that invading Iraq was the "right thing to do" based on false information.

If Bush or any President wanted to end abortions they could, they just have to take the first step and make it an issue, not just an issue, but the most important issue.

We have over 4,000 babies being butchered in America, and the "conservative" response is, we just need to find a democratic solution that the judges won't block.

Don't justify invading another soverign nation to safe thousands of lives, when your own government and President is ignoring the murder of thousands of innocent babies daily in America.

If it takes another Civil War to save their lives, then let's do what it takes!

No just thought I'd get all of the angles out in one post!

Reality is - the CP couldn't do anymore than the present POTUS is doing now except beat their gums about how it ought to be. I'm not interested in rhetoric but action. Action flows from power and principle not just principle alone. The CP does not have any Power.

Come Nov 3 it'll be back to business as usual and the CP will have made all this noise - for what?

Better to be working to build a national base and then make the leap than leap, leap, leap in vain for a ring that is always out of reach.

As far as the Independent Baptist stuff goes - nobody has even raised the question as far as I know and I'd like to see it addressed.

And you believe that? It's easy to say something after the fact.

There is virtually NO NEED for a late term abortion even if the mother's life is in danger! A former pastor's wife developed HELLP Syndrome at 22 weeks and was near death. Doctors were going to do a C-Section but HELLP messes up platelets and they were afraid she would bleed to death. They induced labor instead. The baby died before birth but the mother survived.

I agree with you that using the exception for the life of a mother in the case of a PBA is crazy. I can not think of any time a PBA was done that the life of the mother was in danger. But, that is not the question being asked.

The question is, did Bush know that the courts would block the PBA ban without the exception, the answer is yes.

Peroutka will admit that his position will not be met with approval by the courts or the pro-abortion members of the two major parties, but Peroutka will also admit that he will fight the courts.

This election is not about who will be in office for the next four short years. This election is about changing the direction our country is headed. Both of the two major parties are taking us in the wrong direction, and both are destroying our Constitutional Republic.

I choose not to help with the destruction by supporting either Bush or Kerry, but to support the only candidate who will fight to uphold the US Constitution and save our nation.

The rest of his statement you cut and pasted from goes on to say:

I would appoint U.S. Attorneys – by recess appointment if necessary – who will secure the right to life of the unborn."
