I don't know if I understand the question. Which ones are not still "open" and how are any "enforced"? What I am saying is that they are fulfilled in Christ. What Covenants would still be open and enforce now apart from that one?

Is the Covenant with Abraham still in effect now, noah, David?I don't know if I understand the question. Which ones are not still "open" and how are any "enforced"? What I am saying is that they are fulfilled in Christ.
I believe so. I think this is why Paul could speak as if Gentiles were a part of the covenant God made with Abraham. Is the Covenant with Abraham still in effect now, noah, David?
Due to us now having like faith of Abraham in God?I believe so. I think this is why Paul could speak as if Gentiles were a part of the covenant God made with Abraham.
No. Due to us being of Abraham, children of the promise.Due to us now having like faith of Abraham in God?
We are that due to receiving jesus as the Messiah/Lord, correct? the Promise was the seed to come to save, that was Jesus...No. Due to us being of Abraham, children of the promise.
Yes, salvation has always been via faith in Jesus. We are that due to receiving jesus as the Messiah/Lord, correct? the Promise was the seed to come to save, that was Jesus...
Yes, as the OT looked forward to Him coming, we now look back to His first coming, and ahead to His Second!Yes, salvation has always been via faith in Jesus.
We are participants. That is what is missing in so much of Christianity today. We are looking for the Kingdom to be fulfilled, for that reconciliation. But we can't ignore the kingdom that now is. We are participants in Christ, in the New Covenant, which is a part of God's plan of redemption.Yes, as the OT looked forward to Him coming, we now look back to His first coming, and ahead to His Second!

A Prof. once explained it to me as a wheel, with each covenant being a part of the larger. While all analogy falls apart at some point, the intent of my friend here was to illustrate both the Old and New Covenants within God's promise to Abraham.
The kingdom of God is a future reality, but it is also a present reality to be experienced now. We are not merely awaiting the kingdom, but are participants even as we look for it’s consummation. The present world system needing to be "fixed" is, in fact, fixed as people are saved from the world and re-created in Christ. We are in this world, but not of it, so while we teach and preach Jesus, this present world system will not get fixed until the Second Coming of Christ!
We will not be ushering in the Kingdom though by the Church, as we are not Kingdom Now in that sense, but main task is to teach/preach Jesus and the Gospel, and also to do good works unto them in his name, but not to transform culture/society, as Jesus needs to come back for that! The kingdom of God is a future reality, but it is also a present reality to be experienced now. Don't just think of the kingdom as a far off reality. Many of its blessings are experienced now, but not in their fullest expression. Some of its power is here, now. But not all of it. Some of the curse and misery of this age can be overcome now, through us in Christ, by the presence of the kingdom. But some of it cannot.
As John Owen strongly preached – sin must be fought. Satan must be resisted, sickness must be prayed over. But also, death must be endured until the second coming and the consummation of the kingdom.
We do not “usher” in anything. It is all God’s plan and design. But we are to be a force in our culture and in our society for God. We are to care for the hurt, to love the unlovable, to share not only the message of the gospel but the love of Christ to a world that is dying. We will not be ushering in the Kingdom though by the Church, as we are not Kingdom Now in that sense, but main task is to teach/preach Jesus and the Gospel, and also to do good works unto them in his name, but not to transform culture/society, as Jesus needs to come back for that!
The covenant promises are all fulfilled by Jesus
God had made the covenant promises, & God himself is keeping them, by Jesus, the eternal Son of God becoming man, born under the Old Covenant, born to save his people from their sins. As Matthew tells us:
Mat. 1:21She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."
The father of John the baptist prophesied about Jesus at his son's birth: - p.723 -
Luke 1:67 His father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied:
68 "Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has come and has redeemed his people.
69 He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David
70 (as he said through his holy prophets of long ago),
71 salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us--
72 to show mercy to our fathers and to remember his holy covenant,
73 the oath he swore to our father Abraham:
74 to rescue us from the hand of our enemies, and to enable us to serve him without fear
75 in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.
At the last supper, before his arrest & crucifixion, Jesus as he gave the wine said: "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.”
Jesus' words echo the words of Moses in Ex. 24:
7 Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read it to the people. They responded, "We will do everything the LORD has said; we will obey."
8 Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people and said, "This is the blood of the covenant that the LORD has made with you in accordance with all these words."
The Old Covenant relies on the obedience of the people – and failed.
The New Covenant relies on the obedience of Jesus Christ, who triumphed gloriously. He lived in perfect obedience, and when he died he shed his own blood, the blood of the New Covenant. All who believe in Jesus as Lord & Saviour are saved by that New Covenant that cannot be broken.
We are to preach/teach jesus, and also called to do good works in His name , but am just reacting against the Kingdom Now junk/reconstructionism. theonomy etc!We do not “usher” in anything. So I am not sure that viewing the kingdom of God as some benign force in the world, save its impact to save souls for the kingdom to come, is less dangerous than any social gospels we may encounter.
We are called out of darkness, and then sent right back to (not in) that darkness to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. But this is not mere proclamation by word as we are called both to avoidance and to engagement. We avoid doing evil, but we engage the world, society, in such a way as that they will see our good deeds and glorify God.
There is but One Covenant of Grace though....The covenant promises are all fulfilled by Jesus

The problem is that "kingdom now junk" is Scripture. It may be taken wrongly by some, but those who ignore it are in no place to judge because they are just as wrong. We are to preach/teach jesus, and also called to do good works in His name , but am just reacting against the Kingdom Now junk/reconstructionism. theonomy etc!
I know that the Kingdom is present hereein a limited fashion, but that we will not have it established in full until, Jesus returns, and I was referencing Kingdom Now Charasmatic junk version...The problem is that "kingdom now junk" is Scripture. The opposite of one heresy is rarely truth.
I'm not familiar with that version (I'm so un-charismatic I don't even cheer at ball games).I know that the Kingdom is present hereein a limited fashion, but that we will not have it established in full until, Jesus returns, and I was referencing Kingdom Now Charasmatic junk version...
