My wife has been a skilled nursing facility. Due to the lockdown I have not seen her since March 11. I assume you know what has happened in some such places. I thank God that she is coming home today.

I have a brother who I haven’t heard from in a month who works in a hospital in NJ who told me “it’s over the wall” ... got another nurse in the same hospital telling me it’s a war zon... please pray for us.... a nursing home in Andover NJ, next to me—body count 68 and counting. I think that means that people are dying....so as Christians are we to disregard life? Are we going to reduce ourselves to statistics? If so then count me out... I just fought cancer for three years and so I know something about suffering and God graces us. My priorities are family and health before anything... I repeat ANYTHING!

First, I think you need to take a step back. You are over the line telling people to "Grow a set". Calm down.

Second, nobody is reducing things to statistics. Nobody is discounting loss of life. You are being too emotional if you come up with that conclusion.

All I am saying is that it is not as bad as you are trying to make it out to be and the media is making it out to be. That is not saying that people aren't hurting and that certain areas are reacting differently than others. But it is not as bad as people claim. People are being hyperactive and not thinking rationally.

Then sit down with her and talk to her... I’d be interested to hear what she says about counting stats Vs human suffering. Could you imagine that we even have religious people on this board who fixate on statistics vs human life... when in fact we both know where Christ puts his priorities.
