On the science behind ivermectin and COVID-19, including clinical, animal, and molecular studies, see this recently published review.18 Its lead author is a prominent clinical researcher at Yale. Two coauthors are in the line of the only two Nobel prize-honored treatment breakthroughs for infectious diseases since the one for streptomycin in 1952. Notably, coauthor Thomas Borody in 1990 published the first clinical trial for the cure for H. pylori (peptic ulcers).31 That cure consisted of three repurposed inexpensive drugs: two antibiotics and bismuth.18 It was adopted immediately in Australia, in 1990, saving an estimated 18,000 lives.32 A decade later, after the patents for the billion dollar palliative drugs, Tagamet and Zantac, expired, that cure became the standard of care for peptic ulcers in the rest of the world.18
Ivermectin safety. Ivermectin is well tolerated even at ten times the standard dose of 200 μg/kg,33,34 and at high doses, in particular, for COVID-19 treatment.35,36 Cancer patients who took ivermectin at five times that standard dose daily for up to 180 consecutive days had no serious adverse effects from it, in experimental protocols with harsh additional drugs.
37. Of 19 patients who took extreme overdoses up to 1,000-fold that standard dose of either ivermectin or the closely related abamectin, all using veterinary forms, only one 72-year-old male who took 440 times the standard dose died.

I think it is important to remember that with all medications (including vaccines) there are risks. For seriously ill covid patients some have recommended 50x the approved dose (600 mg for 5 consecutive days instead of 150 to 200 mg once every 3 to 6 months). Side effects have been blindness and death - but that does not mean this is expected at such levels (only that they can occur). Given the seriousness of covid when a person becomes critically ill with the virus I don't see that the risks associated with ivermectin are greater than other treatments.

Redundant argument. Already addressed in another thread with you. This is how well leftists pay attention. They just put their talking points on auto rewind & disregard the rest. You will see lefties here arguing ‘conspiracy theory/conspiracy website’. That means they have absolved themselves of reading or addressing a point, because they would rather just chime in with disparaging remarks. They aren’t willing to learn. One thing I have noticed is that the Pro-vax element insists that the majority of doctors are on there side, but they overlook the basic fact that the nay-sayers have been largely stifled - certainly in the sources that they go to. Their seems to be a deep-seated unwillingness to even consider that our government and entities under their power are trying their utmost to muzzle free speech.
Whenever I read "conspiracy theorist" I quit reading. It almost always means that what is written is a knee-jerk reaction, not the words of balanced and informed investigation.

Dr. Merritt may be a fine orthopedic surgeon, but when it comes to the science of COVID-19, she is a bumbling neophyte.
Suspicion is immediately aroused when Merritt is identified as a member of “America’s Frontline Doctors,” a handful of conspiracy-minded physicians that include luminaries such as Dr. Stella Immanuel who alleges that alien DNA is being used in medical treatments and that researchers are working on a vaccine to prevent people from becoming religious. She also believes in a conspiracy by the “Illuminati” to destroy the world with abortion, gay marriage, and of all things, children’s toys. As far as gynecological diseases go, they can be caused by having sex with witches and demons that appear in dreams.
Come on, man - make it at least remotely believable.

Only 301 doctors were surveyed. Common sense tells me that at least 40% of doctors (and nurses, for that matter) are unvaccinated and will remain so,
First of all, if the doctors surveyed were chosen randomly, 301 might be an adequate sample size. In fact, according to my calculations, for a population of about 1,000,000 doctors in the USA, a sample of only 400 is needed get a valid finding with a 95% confidence level.
As for 40% of doctors and nurses, that is a tad misleading - it is the doctors who are much more qualified to offer an opinion.
In any event "common sense" is not a reliable guide.

The fact that the surveyed 301 doctors have been vaccinated obviously attests to their confidence that getting vaccinated is the right course of action.
